Vector Portrait for beginners
Hey Guys what's up this is Parag and today I will show you how a step by step process to design vector portrait using photograph, I designed this vector portrait using a reference image. this tutorial is mainly focused on beginners who are new in adobe illustrator. this is not speed art like other tutorials, I have tried to explain everything. you can try and email me your results to psbhujbal@gmail.com.

We waste hours on instagram scrolling around but never invest even 5 min in learning new things like this, when started the video I didjt even realized it's 45min long watched entire video without skipping any second. Thank you for this 45 mins .

Man, this was really helpful. It took me 4-5 days to complete a vector portrait with a different reference but it would have taken a lot longer if it were not for you. Thanks again, man I am really happy with the results.

@@muchsalmina1227 Sorry man. It's a photo of somebody close to me and I don't think they would appreciate if I post it here. Although I can tell you that that the image had a lot of sunlight so that created some problems so if you use a different reference image make sure that it doesn't have too much sunlight or lack thereof...

I am only a few minutes in and this looks like an amazing tutorial with lots of useful information. My only problem is that I have a really hard time understanding what is being said. I have to go back a lot and try to listen again and again and sometimes I still have no clue what words are being spoken. Often times the video itself helps to figure it out, but not always.

Notes for amateur like me:
1. For sub layers, if its not auto, click ->[+] "new sub layer button in the bottom of layer section
2. Windows -> control, and windows -> toolbars -> advanced

Hi there really love your work! I was wondering though how do you find the suitable color palette for your artworks? I am struggling to find the right colors as I'm practicing.
Hi I know you placed this comment a long time ago but What I like to do is to use auto image tracing in illustrator to see where the shadows are and also to pick the colors. Hope this helpen!

This was great. Can you please explain what you did with the eyes, more specifically the pathfinder stuff. I am trying to do this but for some reason it's not working.
26:24 ◾ Select all the paths you want to color > Pathfinder > Divide ( First one, bottom row ) >
Right click on your selection > Ungroup > Now you can select individual parts to color.
You are very good, can u do a tutorial to tell us how you do with colour palette and the steps how you choose the right colours, or a link??? Regards

How do you bring in that pallet on the screen.
They used the shape tool and drew little circles and then and selected to the colours for them. That confused me for ages as well haha
How to select suitable colors for the portrait??
In other words, how to design a color palette?
you can use paletton.com to find colors close to your scheme from lighter to darker shade
