You have to be careful when you set expectations. My parents were total a holes about me getting b's in hig school, so when i failed a class in college i thought they were going to disown me...they didnt, but i cant replace those days of hiding it with my bp sitting st 300/250...
@@luluanderson-t6j Well, for starters the food. Good lord was it hard to get used to. The way people talked was different, speeds in cars were different, the hospitality of people are way different. I've met a lot of unsavory people since living here. Pretty much everything is different. I miss the food I used to eat back in Mississippi a lot tbh. The schooling was different, the economy is different, the wages I get now vs when I was there are different too.
I hablve thise expectations of my kids. I encourage them to meet them, by telling them they CAN do it. Sometimes they succeed, sometimes they fail. When they fail, they fail. My response depends. If they were saying they cant they cant they cant, then fail, I tell them its because they didnt truly believe they could. Every time they have told me they didnt truly believe it. If they dont, and they jisr fail, you tried. You didnt do it this time, but doesnt mean you cant do it. Things happen, but you TRIED!
