  • Cesar Franck was a composer, pianist, organist, and music teacher who worked in Paris during his adult life, but was born at Liège, in what is now Belgium. He is considered by many the greatest composer of organ music after Bach. His "Trois Chorales" are a cornerstone of the organ repertoire, featured regularly on concert programs.
This piece is played here by Geoff Olson, organist of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Paul, MN. The organ is a 30-rank Wicks/Hunt pipe organ, supplemented with a Hauptwerk virtual organ system, using the 65-stop 1877 Father Willis Organ at Salisbury Cathedral, England. Hope you enjoy this piece and thanks for listening.

Whew! Blew the dust out the pipes on that one. Powerful piece.

Glad you liked it Brian. I tried to do some spring cleaning on the organ pipes.

That was really great, most of the times I find it rushed, not now! Thank you for sharing it
