Through Jahiliyyah I missed years of prayers. With the Mercy and Grace of Allah Subhan Wa'Tala I have a better understanding of my religion and I pray 5 times a day each day (few exceptions that Allah Subhan Wa'Tala Knows) for about 7 years now. I have been making up my missed prayers because a Hanafi brother at the mosque told me to do it and how to do it. Now I saw this video and feel sad and confused... should I stop making up missed prayers and only ask forgiveness and give charity.. all these questions.. I just feel so low and useless and a sinner... My only hope is knowing that Allah Subhan Wa'Tala Has told us not to lose hope and never give-up on hope..

Brother, listen,Allah is the most mercifull, He is the most forgiving,so make tawbah with the following conditions
      1/realize your sins
      2/regret about your sin
      3/ask for forgiveness from Allah
4/promise not to go back to that sin with all your strength and effort
These are fundamentals of doing tawbah properly
If you do this In Sha Allah, your tawbah will be accepted by Allah
And pray as many nafl as you can, there are so many different Salah that you can pray so that you maybe be in the safe zone under the mercy of Allah
for example, Tahiyatul Wudhu, Tahajjud Salat, you can also do Salatul Tasbih and so many blessed prayers that your can offer to add more rewards and always do Istighfar, try to do it everyday for your missed Salah and mistakes and recite Saiyedul Istighfer which is said to be the best form of Istighfer, and may Allah guide you, remember never lose hope in the mercy of Allah, as far as i have heard that lossing hope in the mercy and forgivness of Allah is also a major sin

    Asalam aleikum,
This is just my thinking, please do correct me if I'm wrong, I'm still a learning muslim and forgive me if i say something wrong
I think we have nothing to loose if we offer qaza salah, i mean it's not a sin so what's wrong in offering qaza, maybe Allah accepts it maybe not but i think if one missed it due to maybe laziness, if he truly regrets it and makes sure that he won't miss salah again then i think he has nothing to loose to offer qaza, Allah is most merciful maybe he would accept it, it doesn't mean or by no way I'm encouraging the idea of missing prayers and then offering qaza all the time, this would be a major sin ofc and it's horrible if someone do this, but if a person sincerely regrets missing salah and he makes sure he won't miss again i think there's nothing to lose to go for qaza salah even if it's not accepted cuz i think it's not a sin to offer qaza salah, who knows maybe even Allah accept the salah, maybe it wasn't mentioned in the hadith because people would have misses salah all the time and offered all the prayers qaza for simple lame excuse, but again this is just my thinking, I'm really open for corrections and please correct me if I'm wrong, Allah knows the best and may Allah forgive me if i said something wrong, ameen

      Wa alaikum asalam WRWB brother
Islam has made it easy for all of us when it comes to deen. And it's only what Allah and the Prophet pbuh prescribed to us. And they have also made it very clear regarding there being no place for innovation in the deen. So it doesn't matter what we think or feel about these matters.
Please read upon on Bidah(innovation) to expand your knowledge on this.
I could suggest you to read " Bidah: Understating the evil of innovation" by Abu Muntasir ibn Mohar Ali which explains it really simple and easy to understand.
May Allah grant us better understanding of Islam. Ameen

Jazaakallah. The hadeeth guidance is clear for first scenario (sleeping and forgetting). Is there really no hadeeth that speaks to other reasons or one that can be taken to cover this based on Allah being often merciful, forgiving, and there for us to always return to? This should be especially applicable, because Allah knows when our niyat is to stay on the straight path, even as we transgress and return to our obligations, including missed salat. Am I wrong to believe that?

@@zachtavaris5378 brother whatever any moulvi says you, you should always check and verify it in the light of sahih hadiths.. if u find the thing there you can do it if they give you the reference of a daif' (weak) hadith, you should never ever believe it....Sahih Hadiths tell u what you should do... I would give you an example of this by Salaat Ul Tasbeeh.. you might have heard about this salah..this is commonly practiced in Muslims; but Salat Ul Tasbeeh is a biddat as it belongs from daif' hadiths..never did Prophet PBUH nor his companions ever prayed this namaz.... Similarly here Prophet PBUH has not given any hadith to compensate on missed salahs so u should never do compensate....whatever you did, if it was due to forgetfulness or lack of knowledge then ALLAH will forgive you and if you did because of laziness then repent and seek forgiveness from Almighty ALLAH... Salam warahma.
Let me put it in simple terms.. if u miss salah due to forgetfulness or oversleeping, u r not sinful n u can make up for the missed salah..
But if u have missed it voluntarily, it's a major sin.. u cannot make up for the missed salah.. so therefore u must repent and increase ur good deeds like praying sunnah, nawafil n by charity and ofcourse praying fard prayers regularly thereafter.. hope it's of help to u :)

    • @aaaaaaaaaaaa9023
      @aaaaaaaaaaaa9023 3 года назад +3

Allah is merciful and forgives all sins. Major sins just means that you must regret, promise to never do it again, and ask forgiveness for the specific sin.
Minor sins can be forgiven even if you did not specify your sin, like doing istigafar and doing good deeds.

Lastly if you did not hear it and you don’t remember it pray immediately as soon as you remember it. That’s it if you’re still in question of this you are playing with yourself

A lot of people quote the Prophet (pbuh!) saying that if you forgot to say the prayer or overslept, but if you are traveling and the time for prayer arises and you are heading to work in heavy traffic, since you can't make up the prayer, do you ask Allah SWT for forgiveness for missing the prayer or just be doomed? I ask this because I have missed praying a few times, especially when I was sick. My intention was to say the prayer and Allah SWT knows that but since I missed, according to you scholars, I'm doomed. Nay! Allah SWT is the Oft-returning to mercy, the Merciful! I asked Him for forgiveness and I can feel His forgiveness because He knows I want to do better. It's similar to committing other serious sins. Allah SWT says whoever commits an indecency or commits a sin, then turns to Allah SWT and reforms himself, will find Allah SWT Merciful, Forgiving. Please stop making it look like the servants are doomed! Assalamualaikum!

With all due respect I disagree with your explanation of the Hadith for two reasons; 1. A person who, involuntary, happens to miss any prayer is being asked to make up for the missed prayer the moment he remembers it and that too with a mention that there's no expiation. So if a person willfully does skip a prayer, by default, he not only has to make up for it but expiate for it also. How can u overlook this connection between the words of the Hadith?; 2) Zakaat is farz; a person willfully does not pay it when it becomes due but after many years he realises that he has committed a sinful act. Will only repentance suffice him when he's the capacity to pay the old due; i guess everyone will say "NO". He needs to repent besides paying the due and ask Allah to accept it.
The problem with the present day scholars is that they don't do in-depth research and analysis before pronouncing a fatwa. It really needs some ingenuity which is lacking in them. So i prefer the the interpretation and explanation of Qur'an and Sunnah presented by 4 great imams rather than the present day scholars who not only lack in proper understanding but also in virtues!

Moreover, Dr Sb hasn't given any candid reference from the Quran or the Sunnah that could clarify the issue. He negated juss because it isn't clearly mentioned anywhere. I can ask hundreds of such questions where u ll not find references but u follow them blindly. One such issue is regarding buffalo's lawfulness in eating or sacrifice!!! Can u give a reference when u know that it's eaten by all and sundry in the Muslim world????
