How should the fingers be placed while in Tashahhud?
    1️⃣ 1st Method:
    📚 Hadith:
♦️ He ﷺ held two of his fingers together (i.e. thumb and middle finger) and made a circle, and raised his forefinger, and I saw him moving it and supplicating with it.
    [Sunan an-Nasa'i 890]✨
    2️⃣ 2nd Method:
    📚 Hadith:
♦️ He ﷺ closed his two fingers and made a circle (with the fingers).
i.e made the circle with the thumb and the middle finger, and pointed with the forefinger
    [Sunan Abi Dawud 726]✨
🔊 Keeping your tongue busy in remembrance of Allah:
    📚 Hadith:
♦️ A man said: “O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), indeed, the legislated acts of Islam have become too much for me, so inform me of a thing that I should stick to.”
He (ﷺ) said: “Let not your tongue cease to be moist with the remembrance of Allah.”
    [Jami at-Tirmidhi 3375]✨
🔊 How to sit in Tashahhud?
    📚 Hadith:
♦️ Ibn 'Umar reported that when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sat for tashahhud he placed his left hand on his left knee. and his right hand on his right knee. and he raised his right finger, which is next to the thumb, making supplication in this way, and he stretched his left hand on his left knee.
    [Sahih Muslim 580]✨
    📚 Hadith:
♦️ He ﷺ put his left hand on his left thigh and knee, and he put the edge of his right elbow on his right thigh, then he held two of his fingers together and made a circle, and raised his forefinger, and I saw him moving it and supplicating with it."
    [Sunan an-Nasa'i 890]✨
🔊 Dua to be recited in Tashahud:
    📚 Hadith:
    Translation:
All compliments, prayers and pure words are due to Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god except Allaah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger
    [Sunan an-Nasa'i 1169]✨
🔊 Reciting the words السلام علیک ایھا النبی in Tashahhud:
    📚 Hadith:
    ♦️ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ
    [Sahih al-Bukhari 7381]✨
🔊 Reciting the words السلام‏ على النبي in Tashahhud:
    📚 Hadith:
    ♦️ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ
But when he ﷺ had died, we used to say, عَلَى النَّبِيِّ "Peace be on the Prophet.”
    [Sahih al-Bukhari 6265]✨

I beg to differ. If one had an introverted or retroverted anominate, they will stand differently naturally. If someone stands with their toes in, that can be how their hip is shaped and their femur articulates with it, how Allah made them. So did Allah make them incorrectly? Should they stand in a painful way because their hip is shaped differently from this man? I’m new to Islam and not trying to be argumentative but this is the stuff that is so baffling. How do you know none of the companions had different postures and gait?

    • @maryamkhan7953
      @maryamkhan7953 5 месяцев назад +1

@@Xtine72 the problem is to stand in a natural way like when you "Stand at Ease". Lots of people have strangely shaped joints and that can arise from any reason. That doesn't mean to stand in a painful way (because it would distract from prayer). Just stand normally with legs spread up to shoulder width and don't think too much about it. If there is a problem with standing in such an easy posture, that means there is probably some disease and if that is the case, then you are excused and can stand in any way (or sit ) so prayer becomes easy. This is the case with a lot of the elderly folk who use chairs to sit and pray.

You have mentioned that this Hadith is the “strongest”, however, you have failed to mention that the author of the Hadith book - Ibn Khuzaimah - who is relating this very Hadith - says after mentioning this Hadith:
“There is not a single Hadith mentioning يحركها except this Hadith mentioned by Zaida ibn Qudama al-Thaqfi.
Hence why this particular narration has been classed as Shaadh.
Imam Bayhaqi commenting on this Hadith says that “the wording ‘he would move it’ must imply he would move it to raise it - and not that he would continue to move it. This is his explanation as otherwise it does not fit in with the contradictory ahadith. See below:
    1. All of the Hadith about “movement” is from Zaida only.
    2. Now although the narrator in question is sahih, Zaida narrates from his teacher Asim bin Kulayb.
    3. Every other thiqqah/strong narrator who narrates Hadith from Asim bin Kulayb all of them, narrating directly from Asim, say:
“He DID NOT MOVE but rather, pointed (ashara) with his finger”.
Examples of strong chains from Asim bin Kulayb:
    - from Sufyan al-Thawri - musannaf 2-68
    - Sufyan al-Uyayna - Ahmed 4.318
    - Shu’ba ibn al-Hujjaj - Ahmed 4.319
    - Qays bin al-Rabi - Tabarani 22.33
    And many more!
So the question is: why is the narration of one man - only Zaida - accepted while the reports of nearly a dozen others are rejected all of whom are thiqqah?
Granted, one wishes to follow this Hadith nonetheless, despite overwhelmingly contrary evidences, then the next question arises:
Why criticise those that adopt the majority view? In terms of going with all of the strong riwayat that oppose Zaidah, Ie, Abu Hanifah, al-Shafi, and many others from the salaf.
The only thing I can say is that it has become customary to attack the school of Imam Abu Hanifah rahimahullah these days without really looking at the thousand years of research that the school has carried out at a depth unparalleled by any school out there, let alone lone wolfs.
    وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته

Check yourself and stop being a Madhabee and see Shaykh Albani explanation on how the Prophet pray his and move his finger salawaat in sifatu solaatu Nabiyy and that of Shaykh Muqbil. Evidence is based upon authenticity not upon numbers of people reporting. Praying and leaving spaces between the rows people for Shaiton to occupy frown upon and condemn by the prophet but because most of you never implement that. Wa laa tadarul furjaat Shaiton. @@aminujamiu758 Your reply is antagonistic, futile, and disparaging - it deserves no reply nor is it even logical, but I'll still do it for your benefit.
You called me a "madhabee" and then you ask me to "follow" Shaykh Albani. Are you for real or just not utilising your higher faculties?
I have quoted ahadith on the same level as the hadith of Zaidah - there is no mention of any school. Perhaps you are unacquainted with how to deal with hadith. I suggest you study it.
Lastly, please keep your name calling to yourself and learn to speak with people without disdain and disrespect. I am not "you lot" just because I dont follow your preferred choice of scholars, after all, did qalallah wa qala rasul tell you that only the two Shaykh's explanations that you have mentioned, are the correct ones? No.
The nature of ijtihaad is that there will be ikhtilaf for that is the way the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam taught the Companions.
As for my reply to the video, it is not a personal attack - but a defence with hadith.

    1. Say this 3 times for 6 hours worth of reward: Subhan-Allahi Wa bihamdihi, ‘adada khalqihi, wa rida-a nafsihi, wa zinata ‘arshihi, wa midada kalimatihi(Glory and praise be to Allah, as many times as the number of His creatures, in accordance with His Good Pleasure, as much as the weight of His Throne, equal to the ink that may be used in recording the words (for His Praise).” (Muslim)
    2. It was narrated that Abu Umaamah said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever recites Ayatul Kursi immediately after each prescribed prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering Paradise except death.” (An Nasa'i and Ibn Hibban)
    3. Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He who says, ‘Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi‘ (Glory and praise be to Allah) one hundred times a day, his sins will be obliterated even if they are equal to the extent of the foam of the sea. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
    4. Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet said:“There are two statements that are light on the tongue, heavy on the scales, and beloved to the Most Merciful: Subahana Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhana Allahi Al-`Azeem (Glory and praise be to Allah, Glorified is Allah, the Most Great.)” (Al-Bukhari)
    5. Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet said: He who repeats after every prayer: Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah) thirty-three times, Al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah) thirty-three times, Allahu Akbar (Allah is Greatest) thirty-three times; and completes the hundred with: La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa `ala kulli shai’in qadir (There is no true god except Allah. He is One and He has no partner. His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Omnipotent)Will have all his sins pardoned even if they may be as large as the foam on the surface of the sea.” (Muslim)
    6. Zaid ibn Harithah narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whosoever says: ‘Astaghfirullaha al-`Azeem al-ladhi la ilaha illa howa Al-Hayy al-Qayyum wa atubu illayh(I ask forgiveness of Allah, the Magnificent, than Whom there is no deity, the Living, the Sustainer of existence, and I turn to Him in repentance,) his sins will be forgiven even if he should have run away from the battlefield (while he was engaged in fighting for the Cause of Allah, which is a grave sin in Islam). (Abu Dawud and authenticated by Al-Albani)
    7. Whoever reads Surah Ikhlas ten times, Allah will build a palace for him in Paradise. ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) exclaimed, “If that’s the case, then we will increase in our palaces!” The Prophet ﷺ (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) responded, “Allah is better and greater (in reward).” [Ahmad]
    8. Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on Friday, it will act as a light/protection for him from one Friday to the next. [Bayhaqi]
    9. Whoever performs their ablution carefully and then affirms (their faith by testifying): “Ash-hadu an laa ilaha il Allah wahdahu laa shareeka lahu wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan `abduhu wa rasuluhu; Allahumma-ja’lni min at-tawaabeen waj-a’lni min al-mutatahireen”: ‘I testify that there is no true deity except Allah Alone, Who has no partners, and that Muhammad ﷺ is His slave and Messenger; O Allah, make me from those who repent and purify themselves’ - the eight gates of Jannah are opened for him so he may enter through whichever of these gates he desires.[Tirmidhi]
    10. Whoever says: “Radheetu billahi Rabba, wa bil Islaami Deena, wa bi Muhammad Nabiyya” - ‘I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, and with Islam as my Religion, and with Muhammad as my Prophet,’ Paradise would be (made) mandatory for him. [Abu Dawud]
    11. Whoever asks Allah for Paradise three times (Allahumma inni as’aluk al-Jannah), then Paradise will say: “O Allah! Enter him into Paradise!” And whoever seeks protection with Allah from the Fire three times (Allahumma ajirni min an-Nar), the Fire will say: “O Allah! Protect him from the Fire!” [Tirmidhi]
    12. Whoever is easy-going, gentle and kind, Allah will make the fire forbidden for him. [Hakim]
    13. In Paradise there are rooms whose outside can be seen from the inside and the inside can be seen from the outside. Allah has prepared them for those who feed the poor, who are gentle in speech, who fast regularly and who pray at night when (other) people are asleep. [Ahmad]
    14. Narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “There is a soorah of the Qur’an, with thirty verses, that interceded for a man until he was forgiven; it is ‘Soorah Tabaarak Alladhi bi yadihi’l-mulk (Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion)’ [al-Mulk 67:1].” [Tirmidhi & Abu Dawud]

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Here are some motivating tips from Allah and the Prophet (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) to help you raise your degrees in Jannah as well as increase your property in Shaa Allah.
    I) Raise your degrees
    1) Memorising the Quran
Abd-Allah Ibn 'Amr narrated that the Prophet (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said :"It will be said to the companion of the Quran : Recite and rise in status, recite as you used to recite in the world, for your status will be at the last verse that you recite." [ Tirmidhi and Abu Dawood ]
    2) Doing a lot of dhikr
Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said :"Shall I not inform you the best and the purest of your deed in the sight of your Master, which is the highest in your degrees, is superior to your spending gold and silver in charity, and is better than confronting and fighting against your enemy, cutting one another's necks?". The companions submitted :"Yes, indeed!". He (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said :"It is remembering Allah." [ Sahih Tirmidhi ]
You can read a book called "Hisnul Muslim" for dua and dhkir. It has many important duas that you need in daily basis. You can easily find it on internet. In sha Allah.
    3) Doing good deeds(at least compulsory good deeds) and staying away from bad deeds
Allah said :" And whoever comes to Him (Allah) as a believer, and has done righteous good deeds, for such are the high ranks (in the Hereafter)." (Quran 20:75)
    4) Doing a lot of nawafil (non compulsory deeds)
According to Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said :" Allah said :" Whosoever shows enmity to someone devoted to Me, I shall be at war with him. My servant draws near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love him. When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it. I do not hesitate about anything as much as I hesitate about [seizing] the soul of My faithful servant : he hates death and I hate hurting him." [ Bukhari ]
    5) How to earn Jannat ul-Firdaws (highest degree in Jannah)
Allah said :"1) Certainly the believers have succeeded : 2) They who are during their prayer humbly submissive, 3) And they who turn away from ill speech, 4) And they who are observant of Zakah, 5) And they who guard their private parts, 6) Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed, 7) But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors, 8) And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive, 9) And they who carefully maintain their prayers, 10) Those are the inheritors, 11) Who will inherit Al-Firdaws. They will abide theirein eternally." (Quran 23 : 1-11)
    6) Making a sincere du'aa that you desire Jannat ul-Firdaws
It was recorded in the Two Sahihs that the Messenger of Allah (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said :"If you ask Allah for Paradise, then ask Him for Al-Firdaws for it is the highest part of Paradise, in the middle of Paradise, and from it spring the rivers of Paradise, and above it is the Throne of the Most Merciful." [ Bukhari and Muslim ]
    II) Increase your property
II-1) How to earn a palace
    1) Reciting 10 times surah 'Ikhlas'
The Prophet (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said:"Whoever recites Qul huwallaahu aHad (Surah Ikhlaas) ten times, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise." [Saheeh al-Jaami’ al-Sagheer, 6472)]
PS : It is a very easy way to earn a palace and it only takes about minutes.
    2) Praying 12 rak'aat in a day
Narrated by Umm Habibah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said :"A house will be built in Heaven for one who prays 12 Sunnat Rak'aat in a day and evening as follows : 4 rak'aat before and 2 after the Dhur Prayer, 2 after the Maghrib Prayer, 2 after the 'Ishaa' Prayer and 2 before the Fajr Prayer." [ Tirmidhi ]
PS : According to the scholars, the 4 rak'aat should be performed by 2 prayers of 2 rak'aat
    3) Building a masjid
The Prophet (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said :"Whoever builds a masjid (mosque) for Allah, Allah will build for him likewise in Paradise." [ Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim ]
    4) Abandoning arguments and lies and improving your behaviour
Abu Umamah (RA) narrated that the Prophet (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said :"I am a guarantor for a house on the outskirts of Paradise for whosoever leaves off arguing, even if he is in the right; and a house in the center of Paradise for whosoever abandons falsehood, even when joking; and a house in the upper-most part of Paradise for whosoever makes his character good." [ Abu Dawud ]
5)The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever gives up fine clothes due to humility for the sake of Allah, even though he is able to wear them, then Allah will call him on the Day of Resurrection in front of all creation that he may choose any garment of faith he desires to wear.”
    Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2481
II-2) How to earn other great things in your property
    1) A tree in Jannah
Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud (RA) reported that the Prophet (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said :"I met Nabi Ibrahim (AS) when I was taken on Mi'aj (ascension to the heavens) and he told me :"O Muhammad, convey my salam (greetings) to your ummat and tell them that Jannah has good soil and sweet water, but it is barren. The plantation of Jannah is (the recital of) Subhan'Allah, Alhamdulill'AH? La ilaha illa Allah and Allahu Akbar." [ Sunan Tirmidhi, hadith: 3462. Imam Tirmidhi has classified his hadith as sound (hasan) ]
    2) A palm tree in Jannah
Hadhrat Jaa'bir (RA) narrated that the Prophet (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said :"For the person who recites 'SUBHAN'ALLAH HIL AZEEM WA BIHAMDIHI' (Pure and Perfect is Allah in his glory and praise], - A date palm will be planted for him in Paradise". [ Tirmidhi ]
    3) Treasures of Jannah
Hadhrat Abu Dharr (RA) narrated that the Prophet (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said :" Should I not tell you of one treasure of the unlimited treasures of Paradise?" I replied spontaneously "Oh Rasulallah (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) that would be an honor indeed!" Rasulallah (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said :"That rare is 'LA HAWLA WA LA QUWWATA ILLA BILLAH."(There is no power and no strength except with Allah) [ Ibn Majah ]
    4) A particular amazing room
Abdallah Ibn 'Amr (RA) narrated that the Prophet (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said :"There is a room in Paradise whose outside is seen from its inside and whose inside is visible from its outside." So Abou Malk Al Ach'ari (RA) asked :"For whom is it, O Messenger of Allah?". He (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said :"These rooms will belong to the ones who speak good words, feed the poor, they fast and pray at night when people are at sleep." [ Reported by Tabarani and authenticated bu Shaykh Albani in Sahih Targhib No. 617)
PS : These 4 conditions can be done during Ramadan. So let's all strive for this amazing room.
    5) Hoor Al Ain (women of Paradise)
The Prophet (Sallalahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said :"Whoever suppresses anger and he is able to act upon it, then Allah (SWT) will call him on the day of judgement in front of everyone and make him choose whichever one of the women of Paradise he wants (of Al hoor Al Ayn)".
[ Sahih Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud ]
    6) An honorable place in Jannah
Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever goes to the mosque in the morning and evening, Allah will prepare for him a place in Paradise for every morning and evening.”
    Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 631, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 669
PS : Let's not let go of all of these wonderful rewards. Because remember, the bigger your property, the greater the pleasure. It's time for us to wake up.
Share this with others so that you gain as much rewards as them practising.
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: One who guides to something good has a reward similar to that of its doer. (Sahih Muslim 1893a)

This man is a great teacher but seems that Islam is full of rules. Doesn't Allah hear what's in our hearts no matter what position we're in? Also Arabic is hard for native English speakers, especially oldies like me

No brother You should not watch your finger and you should move them right when you sit from qiblah until you finish the whole reading.

Just follow your local mazhab. Or the majority in your place. Dont fuss with this whos right wrong. All 4 mazhab ways are true, what these boys fight and claiming are distraction for you from khusyuk in your prayer. Follow local, if they watch finger or not just follow, they are not wrong. Thats it be confident with it. Each of these boys are ignorant, always picking each other and dare to confidently claim they are right others wrong while Allah is the best and their puny sized knowledge are nothing compare to His knowledge.

As salaamu alaykum, I noticed some people moving their fingers for this part but never knew why, and didn’t want to copy without knowing the reason in case it was wrong. Jazakallahu khayran thank you for the info! I have a question though about something else you mentioned. I move my lips for every part of prayer except one. When my husband is leading prayer and he recites something after Fatiha on the first two rakaat that is something I don’t have memorized (he’s memorized much more than me), I can’t really move my lips on those parts since I don’t know the verses, but I focus and listen carefully while he recites it. Is this okay or should I try to recite something I do know? Sorry if the question is silly, I’m a convert of 8 years but still learning every day.
