Just started watching the docuseries on Andy's diaries. I couldn't believe how the series asserted his asexuality was a lie so confidently (perhaps due to obvious misunderstandings or ace identity illustrated by interviewees). So many following parts of the doc (quotes, behavior, etc.) seemed to be extremely relatable as an ace person.

This video is only showing half of this complex individual. Warhol was deeply catholic and his art mimics byzantine icons. Also he claimed himself to be celibate.

Thank your for mentioning asexuality! (Though using the fact that he had multiple strong platonic relationships as proof seems odd. People of any orientation can have close friends, and a preference for platonic relationships would seem to indicate aromanticism, not asexuality - though obviously in this case, we know Warhol wasn't aro.)

Nobody ever thought Andy was straight. Everyone knew he was gay. I realize that TV only presents all gay men as the high camp sterol type of an effeminate man dancing around the room calling everything "fabulous", but that isn't real life. One size does not fit all

who the hell cares! unless I know someone personally its none of my buisness who they are sleeping with. As long as we define ourselves by the type of person we are attracted too and keep shoving it into other peoples faces then hate and discrimination will never end. if your straight, gay, bi or whatever just do what makes you happy and stop expecting special recognition for it because most people don't care and tired of hearing about it.
