"Don't even worry about it though, just go out, get yourself some god damn beater weights. That's what everyone uses anyway, you need to just.. get your weight from the beater and not from the pedal board. That's not the deal you want."
@@runnningonemptythat’s odd. How often did you play them. My PDP (dw the lesser subsidiary, not a knockoff I guess) pedals didn’t make it 2 years before my drive shaft blew up, both started squeaking no matter the oil, and the left feeling twice as heavy as the right. Tricks are still the best purchase I’ve ever made.
I have first release, they came to Europe with Tom Corn(Cult of Fire, these times I mean Solfernus, Lykathea Aflame). It's second hand and I tortured pedal for more than 12 years. Zero problems, even the springs are not gone - I am using original hardened long ones(blue, now they are in matt surface, just after spring hardening, natural surface). Mine has hundred milion hits and going like new, back in the days I practices 5 hours a day 220bpm+. Really outstanding quality, bullet proof. I am thinking about upgrading to low mass plate, but I am so nostalgic about this pedal, if you know what I mean. It is more like relic :-) maybe one days I will record a video about that pedal, just to show off. I have never any special case, passed many gigs, yes it has scars, but you know it is from solid metal, thats the way we like it :)
Is there a diffrrence between the "Bigfoot" and the "Bigfoot Pro1V", other than the reduced weight? also I use 2 Bass drums and want beater to strike centerHead, Once opon a time wished my peds split the difference for a even sound, but I don't use slaves anymore. I'm not finding any info that answers these questions.
Is there a left handed conversion for the Pro 1v pedals? I couldn't imagine Trick pedals don't accommodate a left handed setup. they have them in dominator but not the pro 1v Bigfoot pedals. I would definitely buy them.
It’s all preference. If you like direct drive you can’t go wrong with these and the new dynasync Tama direct drive pedals look absolutely amazing but I’m not a direct drive fan personally. To me a double chain Tama pedal like an iron cobra double and speed cobra doubles are the best two pedals ever for me personally. I bought the trick double pedal and just couldn’t get used to it. Bought the speed cobras and never looked back. Bought the iron cobras as my practice pedals and backup pedals. Funny cause Alex actually switched from speed cobras to trick pedals so it’s all preference. Pedals are all so different in feel and what you want and need and look for. Nowadays it’s hard to find a bad pedal from all the major companies and they all work well but once you find that perfect pedal and feel you just gotta stick with what works.
How do they compare to the Speed Cobras you used before? I've been using the Speed Cobras for the last few years and they're great. I'm curious to try these Trick pedals though.
At some gigs other drummers tried mine and they were not able to hit the drum, but I set up mine like for top speed. First release with full plate footboard they are sure like original cobras, the most similar feel. Really heavy and punchy.
Holy shit 1k for foot pedals? I'm a noob drummer and I bought used bass pedals for $250. But I never thought they would be that expensive. I would like to get it but I don't know if I should since I'm new. And I'm currently playing flat footed as well if that makes sense. Would anyone know if it would be worth it?
If you're a beginner don't bother with a pedal this expensive. You could buy TWO DW 9000 longboards and have $200+ left over. These expensive pedals are for guys that have all the toys, are NOT beginners and are really fine tuning their skillset. Tama Iron Cobras are solid and affordable. Speed Cobras are nice if you like a light feeling pedal. I personally like a heavy feeling pedal so I went with the 9000 XF. I've been playing 5000 forever so 9000's are a refinement of what I'm used to. And I know theyre built like tanks. Go to a different shop and try every pedal on be the floor to know what your preferences are. If you prefer something that's out of your budget look for a used pedal in excellent shape. Quality used gear is out there. You just need to put more effort into finding it.
They weigh 6 kilograms per single pedal. Basically an entire Pearl Eliminator Redline double pedal, complete with driveshaft and beaters in one single pedal.
Heard nothing but good things about the speed cobras. Personally, I own the the trick pro 1-v's and love them but speed cobras or maybe iron cobras are the best you can get in their price range. P.S. Alex is new creative marketing director at trick drums now
Sounds like one of those commercials on Rick and Morty’s interdenominational cable 😂
It does lol.

*interdimensional lol but we got what you meant
All I need to do is sell my drum set so I can afford these. PERFECT!
I know right $1000!
You will never need another pedal again though. They are built to last, literally forever. Haha Just save save save.
My axis long boards were $1100 when I got them
@@strangehappenings8961 MY CHEAP PEARL DW COPY PEDALS LASTED 35 FUCKING YEARS!!!..WHAT IS YOUR POINT?

I'd wonder if they're worth the upgrade from the standard Bigfoot ones, as I've already have and love my set of those..
