Thanks so much...have been running for years and trying to transition into a morning runner😃. Pace is definitely slower in the am, especially the first km...but it is so peaceful...and I never regret going....will have to see how this works during the cold winter months...cold up here in Canada...and dark at 6am!

Empty stomach is optimal for me....just water, toilet, and then run.... As you say, getting up and getting out there is half the battle. If I linger around, eat, get comfortable, and sit at my computer, then forget about the run...lol
I read its not good taking an dump before run, also intermittent fasting is good, go jogging on an empty stomach and even hours later eating after an run! u will BURN A LOT. losing weight is the easiest working out early in the morning on an empty stomach... I am now on my 3rd day in the morning jogging. watching Dean Karnazes too ! gives me hope !
Uh ya I shit and drink a cup of coffe with coconut milk before I run then sip water if I'm on a long run I like steak and alot of veggies for dinner the night before broccoli and sweet potatoes beets are awesome also
Have all your clothes, shoes and anything else you need prepared and laid out ready to go Put you phone/alarm on the other side of the room so you have to get out do bed to turn it off. Instead of an annoying alarm have it as an awesome motivational running song!
hi I like this video I also get up at 6 a.m. today a friend and I usually drink water but it's cold outside so I had Coco and I ended up running half of what I'm used to so yes thanks and I extremely recommend water before and after running
My work roster sucks, I'm on nightshift so I sleep at 6am and wake at 1pm give or take. Then it's hands on deck with kids etc hard to find time to run an hour a day 😩
I've never run any other time of the day except morning. Its when the air quality is fresh and you feel your best. I used to walk after dinner for an hour but my doctor strictly told me to do whatever exercise I need to do in the morning. Evening and night time is when you should slowly wind down and go to sleep.
Hey, how much are those Hi-Ball energy drinks? I drink a sugar free 8oz redbull every morning and those are $2.50. Its adds up. I cant imagine those 16oz energy drinks from Trader Joes are any cheaper but I'm hoping.

you could try a smoothie before your runs if you don't feel like eating. gives you energy and you can already prepare it the evening before.

My morning routine:
4:45 wake up, Pee, 1/2 cup coffee while checking the news and emails etc, poop, on the door by 5:30. 90% of the time this happens.

7:00 get ready for school.
8:00 go to school.

I used to work nights also, I would go to bed right after work then run after I woke up in the afternoon.
6am? Lucky you. I have to leave my house by 6:30am. Most the time I wake up at 4:30am to hit the gym before work.

Not much cheaper than redbull! Amazon would be the best bet for buying them in bulk :) But usually about 2.50-3.00 in a store
