Lol the Giants have the 6th overall pick and yall think they are in a predicament?? No they aren’t. When you get the chance to select a player like Malik Nabers it’s a once in a career type of thing. Like a Randy Moss or a Megatron or a Jamar Chase or a Justin Jefferson.

I think the giants need to follow Chicago who built their team up before going back to the Qb well in the draft. Use those high pics to build their skill positions or OL and then see how it goes.
Because Chicago made a trade that ended up netting them the future number one overall pick, which will probably never happen again in our lifetimes.
Theyd have had a better chance of doing that if they traded barkley last year instead of letting him walk. Someone might have overpaid for him. Outside that the giants dont have the resources to do what the bears did by fleecing Carolina. Id trade back in first round for more picks and grab pennix later on to sit a year

All I have to say about the people doing draft rating and overhyping is Josh Rosen. How long did they have him as #1 and then a drastic decline came closer to the draft? This years #1 is not Pat Mahomes, but gets raised due to the comparisons. Pat wasn’t even rated that high when coming out. The look is not always the reality and people aren’t looking close enough.

These pundits are like salmon swimming upstream on the idea of the Giants taking a QB. I've been saying this since the end of the season, the Giants will draft a QB with that sixth pick this year. Daboll and Schoen want their guy, and this might be the last time that they have this opportunity. Two things working against Jones: 1. When the Giants won that playoff game in Minnesota the first thing that Gettleman did was claim Saquan and Jones as his picks 2. Jones injury history and injury clause in his contract. Jones even had a broken clavicle in college. To me it would be draft malpractice not to get a QB in the first round of this draft. I would even suggest drafting two like San Fransico did a few years ago. Draft one in round one and another in round 6. You can get a WR in the second and a DB in the third. Also, just like they did for Josh Allen in Buffalo, bring in a proven WR 1 in free agency next year when Jones money is off the books. If they can let Barkley go to a rival for nothing, they damn sure can let Jones go and start their era. In a losing season last year, Daboll proved a lot to me about getting that team to six wins and if it wasn't for bad special teams play it could have easily been 8 wins. The Buffalo and Jets game came to mind. I believe that the Giants already have a trade in place before the draft.

There are 9 teams picking between 3 and 14 (assume the Bears draft a QB) that should draft the 3rd QB taken if they truly believe their guy is a starter and not a Zack Wilson box maybe starter. The Giants are a team whose coach and GMs future probably be better with a 1st contract QB that becomes a starter or ends up being a consistent top half passer with a 90+ rating in 4 years. In 5 years Jones reached the low bar of that type of passer once and was probably 1 big game being normal to not reaching the low bar, he is not worth $30+M let alone $40M, and the injuries.

No way the Giants trade up for a QB as a couple draft mocks have suggested... Read today's Athletic article about draft value. Trading up produces busts a LOT... while trading down gives 150% value...unless you draft historically poorly (uhh.. like the Jets?). Either take the stud WR at #6 to start the process of getting more impact players... or better yet, trade down #11-13 to the team that wants a QB to get those 3+ extra high picks. So many holes in their roster they HAVE to get more picks...
Giants have drafted very poorly outside of RDS 1 & 2, where they've been mediocre, for at least a decade.

Giants have done EXTENSIVE, more than normal work on the top QBs in this draft.
The Giants are in QB hell with an opportunity to land a good one.

I would trade back to #9 with Chicago (or whatever team) and take Bowers or Odunze, either left, and add value at another position later with the picks I get back, a plan for losing Darren Waller soon.
I laugh at the Giants fans who claim that Daniel Jones has gotten no help. Like folks, any other organization he woulda been drafted on the second or third round and probably be a career backup somewhere on a contract in the high seven figures.

@@t-bone2019 Golden Tate, Kenny Golladay, and Darren Waller all got worse when they played with Daniel Jones, Evan Engram and Kadrius Toney all got better when they left Daniel Jones, even his favorite target Darius Slayton was more productive at the end of the season with Tyrod Taylor at Quarterback. You're really going to tell me that MHJ, Nabers, or Odunze is going to fix everything, all evidence points to Daniel Jones not taking advantage of them.
Maybe Patriots don't love the QB who's left at #3, and go MHJ.

The Giants have holes at both OG and RT. They have 0 playmakers at any skill position. Any qb they draft is going to fail in this offense as constructed.

Yes he had one of the worst O-Lines and no No. 1 WR, but just watch the games he can´t read defenses (also blitzes), he doesn´t see wide open WR, so even when he had time there is just nothing happen with him. We might not get a good enough replacment at 6, so we shouldn´t pick a QB there, but it´s time to accept DJ ist not the answer and stop making excusses.

Two years ago when the team made the playoffs, were you complaining about Jones then? All 3 qb's got hurt because this was the 2nd worst offensive line in the history of the league. Most sacks in a season since 1986. I'm sure you read defenses sitting in your living room. Surround him with some talent.
@@jftube3333 Yes I was. Two years ago there were even more WR open and he didn´t saw them. We only made it to the playoff because of Sequan, the defense and his Running Ability (which is second to only Lamar), but that isn´t enough if you just watch Lamar in the Playoffs, who is obviously a better QB in throwing and reading defenses too.

How come nobody mentions all the drop balls? DJ had 6 picks last year. Four were thru the hands of receivers. Two perfect throws to Barkley & thru his hands, INT. Same with the tight end, Waller. Give him time to throw & he's fine. Close to 70% completion in '22. Draft a wide receiver at 6. There are 3 good ones. Can't miss out on that. If Bo Nix is available later, take a shot with him. This is DJ's last try to make it work.

Giants need to draft one of the top Offensive Tackles.
Why?
The best player on the Giants is the left tackle Andrew Thomas who is arguably top 5 at his position in the NFL. Their right tackle Evan Neal (not very good at the moment) was drafted 7th overall just 2 years ago. I’ll say it again, 7TH OVERALL JUST 2 YEARS AGO. To take an another tackle in the top 10 for the 3rd time in just 6 years is not how you build a winning team. They need a franchise QB.

The Giants are not going quarterback at the 6th Pick, period! They got Daniel locked up for next year at 40 million guaranteed. Listen I don't care what quarterback if they drafted one this year, is going to do any better than Daniel did with that trash O-Line, 85 sacks allowed, embarrassing blow outs, shutouts included. Who's going to succeed in back of that line? Nobody is? Off season aquasistions isn't going to be enough. You need to lock down the O-Line with mean, nasty, big, tough maulers to dominate defenses so when the Giants are getting ready to score a touchdown, the defense of the opposing team has their hands on their hips gasping for air and all tired out.
