- To celebrate that the 'Go Let It Out' single was released 14 years ago today, here is a track that has never been online before. It's the demo for the classic b-side 'Lets All Make Believe', sung by Noel Gallagher, and recorded right after the Be Here Now tour ended in 1998.

how this was missed off SOTSOG still amazes me - ridiculously underrated tune.
wouldn't have been out of place on WTSMG to be fair either.
@@JonVoid37 at wtsmg times he didn't do songs in this style i guess
no joke, every oasis b-side is underrated
Make your own compilations with their B sides on it. I did one with SOTSOG with this track after Who Feels Love.
@jemimallah both of those suck. I don't know how noel, the dude who wrote some of the best B sides ever, let alone singles, decides to put shite like putyermoney, little james, sunday morning call, i can see a liar on the album but THIS song no. The no drugs thing must've screwed with his decision making, even more than drug times.
Noel is my hero. I can't explain how I feel when I listen his songs.
Yep, I get it. Never been a band that can make me feel the things Oasis have. It's tjeir zest for life and having it large and just goin for it. Let nothin stop ya, just wake up and soak it all up. Oasis just puts the fuckin stride in yer step like no other band has or ever will
@@hemiheritage I’m an Australian woman, just aged between the brothers birthdates. Have no idea what you are saying, but I agree. Let’s face it...we all need Oasis in our lives right now. 🖤
He's the main reason why I boughty guitars in the first place. Now I love playing along with them! I look up to both of them.
Agree 110%!
@@hemiheritage u nailed it! 👏👏
The Surf Rock/Psychodelic inspired guitar
The raw drums
The unsetling chord progression
The 60s vibe
The general stripped raw feel of it
A massively, masively underated song - even by 90s Noel standards.
oasis’ burden was that they had released arguably their best work within the first two albums including b-sides. all of their songs are amazing so it’s easy for anything after the be here now people overlook masterpieces like this…
one of the best things about noel writing all the songs, is that we get to enjoy the same song twice
The first song he wrote after be here now
Where you get that information from?

The Sound Like Be Here Now But More Modern
No I think it was that instrumental “teoutican” idk how to spell it tho
Why this didn't make the cut for the album I will never understand. Still love the song to death, and hearing noel sing it sends chills down my spine(the good kind of chills). Cause this song is brilliant, and if any other band had written it it would have been the high light of their career. B sides man,
It was included in the US release eventually
I read somewhere that the band thought it sounded too similar to Blur’s Tender, which had come out around the same time
It’s absolute perfection in Liam’s version. This ain’t too bad either.
@@myenemysenemy1043 I don't know why they'd have thought that. I don't think it sounds anything like tender.
Liam song!
first time I've heard this version, love it, although I do still prefer the proper version with one of Liam's best vocals to date.
Slide away?
Antho Russo not even close
@@steadywoodward9390 3 years later, but my generation at Jools holland got to be his best vocals
Way too many to choose from
Live forever, champagne supernova, leys all make believe, dont go away, round our way, gas panic, I'm Outta Time, etc etc etc and on
Dude is the greatest RnR singer of all time. In his prime his range was incredible but beyond even that was the unmatched beauty of his vocal tone. An absolute nightengale unlike any other before him during or since.
Freddy had the immaculate range but his tone was not the quality of Liams
This was the time Liam delivered supreme vocals. Carnation with Cradock and Wellere i.e
I'm in love with Noel's voice
I always preferred Noels voice in many ways, so much more dynamic with depth.
Gay
@@stevens5541 coming from the guy called *lol lol*
Sorry I'm not
He has more range in his voice.
I love this song and the way Noel sings it... His voice and depth gives another meaning to it.
The level of upside-down-ness in the music industry never ceases to amaze me...here we are daily listening to "artists" who've done virtually nothing to get where they are, lauded as "geniuses". Meanwhile a song like this is not only a B-Side but not even part of Oasis' B-Side compilation album The Masterplan (I know it was written after, but anyway). How sad!
I miss his singing style from back then. It's changed. I love it just as much but it's still different. I could listen to this ten thousand million times its so nostalgic and gorgeous. 1998!
EmilyRealLife this came out in 2000
Best song of the album even if it's a B-Side
One my favourite Oasis tunes. Soo soo underrated. Noel epic as always but the final cut with Liam all over it is just outrageous vocally!
I've always believed SOTSOG should have been Noels solo album... I'd bought the demos from a market way before the album came out.. And when the final album actually came out I found it disappointing compared to the stripped back pain in the demos... If you like liams voice you're always gonna prefer him singing these songs but hearing a singer songwriter play their own composition wins for me. Especially when it's this personal
Yep........Noel said that his song were meant to play his own...........Like Wonderwall...........................
I have a bootles called "Unfinished Sympathy" and I think it's the same you're talkin' about. It's Noel singing all of the SOTSOG demos (also some b-sides, except for this one). I think it's one of my favourite unofficial oasis recording.
@David Jones. ‘the stripped back pain’...that really hit me in the feels. Well said, brother. 🖤
Fucking wow! I almost like this better than the album version. What an amazing songwriter he is. Fucking hell…..his songs make me feel different than any other songwriter. His songs inspire and energize me…..incredible talent.
holy shit theres some bitterness behind that performance. you know hes very aware of what hes singing
The finished version of this song features, in my opinion, one of Liam Gallagher’s finest vocal performances EVER! Still, this “stripped down” demo with Noel’s vocal is cool. Always wondered how they managed to get that odd Guitar sound that appears throughout the track.....Almost sounds like a keyboard at times. Anyone any ideas?
Sounds like an echo or space echo guitar pedal
How this didn’t get on SOTSOG us criminal, love this but Liam singing it is way better
There is a keyboard/piano in there aswell mate, but there's defo some delay on the lead parts just like an 8th note or something.
It was the first song after a öonger time when noel was at a low point and lost passion...it describes where he and the band was in around 1998
This is an incredible song. The man is a living legend and Genius... 🔥✌🏻
The greatest b side ever written. Unbelievable vocal on the original
easily one of their best songs and also Noel sings it with soul or idk how to say, you can hear at the end of words, it's pretty rare
I wanna cry when listening him
just see how the lyrics perfectly match how they are now😢
Good times back then
heart breaking song
whoever wrote this must also feel painful even if he didn't show it
I've always loved this song, never heard Noel sing it before brilliant stuff, thanks for posting
I love both of them
( Their versions always make me cry 😢 )
This song is emotional to me and I want to sing it to my best friend...
Dont tho....
It will be a bit cringe
@@humblebugg5270
No , I'm just kidding hahhaa
The guy is just so impressive....
Greatly sang in both version, Noel and Liam!! Liam’s best singing ever probably, along with Slide Away
Spot on
Voice of a angel and a genius
Thank you so much for posting this track. I can't believe that it's flown under the radar for so long. A true hidden gem. How can such a young guy be so filled with talent. He makes me proud to be a Manc!
Look I know that discovering these B sides is cool and all. But Noel is still an idiot for not releasing these as singles when instead he put out mediocre singles during this time.
I like Noel's voice but Liam's vocals in this song are really something else
Amazing how they can both bang out certain tunes this and sad song for example
What I want to know is when will Masterplan II,III & IV be released.
Never. With spotify you csn just make your own
I'm hoping that they will make like a huge Oasis collection tape or something after 30 years of Definitely Maybe or some other anniversary which will include all the unreleased tracks and demos.
"...oooh..ooh...oh..oh..oh...oooh...oh..oh../..oh...oh...oooh....oh..oh..."(magic Noel!)
antokindness i wish that was on the original.
antokindness or should i say official version
vladimyr morris
I am agreeing on that wish!
This song is beautiful😍😍😍😍
high key one of Noel's best performances vocally ever. Liam was better still
Genius doesn't even define this.
I prefer this version speed up at 1.25 than any other. Beautiful voice, the drop of the chorus, the lyrics, legend
This just made my week- my favourite oasis song! Always wished to hear Noel have a crack at this one live. This will do for now!
thanks for posting. amazing thanks
Listening to this version makes me think what a great front man Liam was even though Noel wrote most of the songs
This is so amazing!!! OASIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY!
This version is class 👌🏻
Dói... mas não canso de ouvir.... NG
Absolutely boss! Thanks a lot for sharing, hope to see more rare stuff from you in the future :)
First song he wrote after the be here now era. BANGGGGAA!!!!
noel gallagher the big my inspiration
his vocal sound almost alike with liam in this .
It's a jockey?
This is tremendous.
Brilliant version love both
Nice biblical brillant amazing noel gallagher magical lyrics
One of his finest songs
Absolutely brilliant
Should of put this on the album and little James as a b-side!
Always thought that the instrumental part at around the 2 min mark in the released version was lacking something, noel's vocals mixed during that part in this version sort that out. So good
This song should've been sung by Noel and Liam at the same time, recorded I mean
I like the idea of some duet... 🤔
though in this case it would have some creepy Frozen's "Life's too short" vibe... 😅😪
It's true that Noel sings so much better than Liam and I love how Noel sings, but I prefer Liam's version. The lyrics are a little bit faster and I love this song because it's slowly, so I think this version is good but not as good as the released song.
You spell Noel G. O. D.
this song is amazing!!
Masterpiece ❤️🎸🎵🎶🇦🇷
One of my favourite Oasis B-sides and I do prefer this version with Noel singing. Still it’s a class tune.
Brilliant tune but for me it’s masterplan
This song is really prophetic now.... lets all make believe we need each other... turns out they don't
Possibly, possibly my favourite Oasis song. Possibly.
This went from Oasis to Red Hot Chili Peppers at 2:00
Thank you so much for sharing this! Great stuff
Baita som! É um gênio!
I like this version more than Liam's. This sounds a lot more honest.
Epically Mega!!! Viva Oasis!!!
Cmon Brothers Gallagher ...Put the past behind you and make Peggy happy and say "Sorry"
what else was on this tape? idlers dream, revolution song etc
One of the only songs that Oasis did that only fit Noel. Liam sounded great but didn't hit the same as Noel does here.
This song remembers me the main theme of Silent Hill
this demo is better than the stupid "put yer money where yer mouth is"
It’s a criminal offense this was left off SOTSOG and “I Can See A Liar” made it 😂🙉🤷🏻♂️
Liam the best
Noel if anyone else wrote this it would be their grestest hit. For you its just a b side
i just... im... i love it.
Should have been a bond theme
Lol whut?
wait this is facts though
How about the new Matrix movie
The entire of SOTSOG could've been a soundtrack
I could actually see that
Used to have a bootleg cd of SOTSOG bought from a market stall this was on it
Brilliant amazing
I'm crying!
Don't be such a biatch
Grow up.
This comment is a girl
0:33 is that Noel on drums??
I'm pretty sure on Standing on the Shoulder of Giants album he played all the instruments because the rest of the band quit after Be here now.
from piano to bass noel did pretty much all of the standing on the shoulder of giants
No,Alan White play drums on this. Noel play bass and both guitars.
Noel obviously played the demo drums,u can hear the difference in style comparing this to Alan White's style in the final release.
Noel had a background being drummer in a cellar act Tailgunner(ft. Mark Coley their earliest producer)
@@ChainNonSmoker torille
Liam should definately sing this one
agree
he does
But he does tho it's belter
but for this version, noel fits better.
Brilliantly written by Noel but sung so much better by Liam.
É arrepiante!
Am I the only one who thinks this version is better with Noel singing than Liam? Anyway Brilliant song with fantastic lyrics hope Noel or Liam sing this song live or release it again :D
Noel's voice sounds pure here, don't know how to describe it
Noel’s take is by far the best
The Ruffs you’ve got that wrong 😂
No, and that's the saddest fuckin thing about that fucked up sentenced you vomitted
That Noel s shows why Liam was lead vocalist
best song
thanks , this is top :)
Mega!!!
This really doesn't sound like an Oasis song, crazy
Sounds like the beginning of the hardest boom bap track at the beginning
Sorry Noel but you can’t touch Liam on this track Liam’s voice was at its absolute peak on this track
liam voice best version of Lets All Make Believe 😁
liam the voice of oasis legendary 😀
Even though Liam delivers one of his best vocals ever on the original version, i prefer this Noel-sung one. Dunno why.
cause ur tone deaf lad
Masterplan 2 would be great. Post be here now B sides.
damn the truth right there....
fantastic drummer. anyone know who was on this demo?
Noel drums on the demos
