NO singer is that good when they first start. Most songwriters sing their demos doesn't mean they are good but as time went by Noel's voice did and has gotten much better. He can hold his own with many now.
He really nailed it when he sang Don't Look back in Anger! His back up vocals became stronger and he had to step up to the front man when Liam had his tantrums and refused to sing. Noel always ALWAYS put the band first even if it came at a high cost.
He's always been a clever dude, Noel. Instead of getting lost trying to "produce" his demos as we all tried to do with cassette 4-tracks (a total and utter impossibility, since it's a toy you're recording with), he kept it simple. Vocal, bass, and a couple of guitars , and sometimes an "organ" pad (probably a cheap keyboard). But still managed to get his musical ideas across. You can tell he's working on his songwriting and performing skills, and creating basic guitar arrangements, instead of trying to get great sounds with a toy.
Lol. I always got frustrated with 4 track machines back in the day. When attempting to get a quality sound always finding you need some other gadget to go along with the 4 track. This process is repeated over and over until realizing the 4 track machine itself isn't good enough. I bought mixing consoles, EQ's, compressors, limiters, effects racks, mics, and all sorts of things to not much effect. Would have been best to spend that money going to a studio!
@@RunOfTheHind I got a decent full band recording with my tascam back in the day. Tandy mic mixer for the kit, track each for bass and guitar and one for the singer.
