The bounce came with the 2nd half subs. Cucurella had a massive impact. Broke up the double teaming of George. Creating more space and opportunity. Massive save by Disasi. Jorgensen had some slip-ups, but kept a shutout. Veiga looked very comfortable in the Lavia role.
It may be hard to see Nkunku excel somewhere else’s as I imagine he will, but he just doesn’t fit in here. I just have that feeling he will return to world class level when he leaves 😮💨

Let's not forget the fact that guiu had to play as the lone striker within the deep line defense of our opponents, he was occasionally marked by 2cb being compact and also Morecambe had a lot of their players in their box, so he won't really be able to get a shot out.. but I absolutely love his work rate
George hello. If Nkunku already agreed to leave, then he shouldnt even be on the pitch, but just in case if he stays, i would him 2-3 games run to start . He is a world class striker, better than anyone we are looking at. Just let him start a few games and then judge him. His goal was just so cool. we still have 2 weeks left. I think we can't blame Guiu at all. The box was packed with defenders and we had almost all of the posession. This means no space for a striker unless he's some beast in the air to attack the high crosses Neto was swinging in. He just had to harass and hope something fell his way. He did his job, but unfortunately didn't get any chances. In saying that, I agree we do need to buy a ready to go top level striker.

Neto should play on the left and Sancho should play on the right. They never seek to cut inside and shoot, and they are predominantly creators. The only attacking wingers we have is Tyrique George and Noni Madueke actually look to cut inside and shoot.

If you show your opponents signs of fatigue and dulling dulling game style, they will take advantage of that situation and punish you. Anytime they play like that, the opponents dominate them.
