Sir plzz, could you answer this ?

    • @Anujkumar-mo6go

This is due to Newton's double prism effect...Glass slab is combination of two prism ...One straight and other inverted ...So when light enters in glass slab it disperse by 1st prism but due to 2nd one, it recombine ..Hence we ultimately get white light.

    Hello sir,
I am a student of class 10th and preparing for the board exam to be held next month. I found a question today which brings me a confusion this question is from NCERT exemplar
    The question is...
Under which of the following conditions a concave mirror can form
an image larger than the actual object?
    (a) When the object is kept at a distance equal to its radius of
    curvature
    (b) When object is kept at a distance less than its focal length
    (c) When object is placed between the focus and centre of curvature
    (d) When object is kept at a distance greater than its radius of
    curvature
Here, option (c) looks correct but options (b) says that object is placed at a distance less than its focal length which means the object is between focus and pole in this case also the image formed would be larger than object. Which is correct in your opinion
    Regards,
    VIKRAM

Hello Sir . I am in class 9 and yesterday I was doing the solved probelms of "Work Energy and Power" chapter from your Foundation Physics book for class 9 . I didn't properly understand the solution to the first solved problem [given on page no.103] .
The question was : "Calculate the work done by a student in lifting a 0.5-kg book from the ground and keeping it on a shelf 1.5 m high."
In the solution it is said that : The student has to apply a force equal to the weight of the book in the upward direction to move it up (these aren't the exact words used , but this is what I could make out form the sentence).
And so my doubt is : If we apply an upward force which is equal in magnitude to the weight of the book then the net force on the book will be zero and so how will the book accelerate and move 1.5 m upwards (assuming that it is at rest initially) ??
I hope you have understood my question , if not I'll try to explain in a better way .
Edit : My question may sound silly to Class 10th , 11th and 12th students but ..... ab doubt hai toh hai 😅

    • @divyamkakkad007

Bro you Should Try that que with the equation of Potaintial Energy which is mgh ...
So mass is given 0.5 kg and For easy calculation take g=10 and h is also given 1.5
      Then :- 0.5×10×1.5 = pot. Energy
      Hence ans is 7.5...

Hello sir I read your chapter of special theory of relativity. I was having one doubt that we know that speed of light is same for all inertial frame but I wanted to know that if we throw a ball in space from a inertial frame then are we sure that the emptiness is inertial? I am asking this because if universe is expanding there must be some acceleration associated with nothingness and if general theory of relativity is wrong then wouldn't it confirm the existence of dark matter?

    I have a question sir.
I took a drop and as alakh sir says set t=0 i have did.
Now my question is that what is the need of significant figures and why the rules of significant figures are defined in such a radiculus way which makes no sense and "physics is nature's language" (i call it applied maths) but why even it needs that ? What is the point of having significant figures and what real world problems it(having rules of significant figures) solves.?
    :)

Sir concept clear karte hai.... Sirf Syllabus dekh ke padhane se physics nahi seekha ja sakta ... Haan marks acche aa sakte hai
