  • @AnoopKhetani
    @AnoopKhetani 3 года назад +6

    I had a different reason.
    Imagine we modelling the displacement of the ball,s. So s=ut+at².
    We would model the motion as a parabola on a s-t graph.
    Rearrange to better understand it, at²+ut-s=0. Like an equation of a parabola like this U.
    When modelling the ball being thrown upwards the parabola will be inverted/upside down like this n, so the at² will be negative. Here a=g so g must be negative to model it as a upside down parabola like this n.
    This is because we would cause initial speed positive so upwards will be positive here.
    But I agree with Mr Varma that we should look at what we take positive first.

    Sir, I have also a confusion in thermodynamics that we always find work done by the ideal gas on the atmosphere, but why do we not consider the work done by the internal pressure over the gas itself? For e.g if a gas is expanding against vacuum we say that it has done no work on atmosphere so it's work done is 0 but what about the internal pressure of gas which is expanding the gas itself? In simple words the position of COM of the gas is changing so there must be some work done on the gas itself??then how the work done is 0?

  • @shivamrajsrivastav6145
    @shivamrajsrivastav6145 3 года назад +8

    Sir in field of force there will be potential energy then if we enter any object then that object gain some potential energy it means this energy is gained by our external force but can we reduce potential energy of that force field without reducing mass of source energy object.
    It means can we say that there is no possible way to reduce potential energy of source energy object then we can say that it is theory of conservation of self energy of object.

    • @maheshkumar-zj1pf
      @maheshkumar-zj1pf 3 года назад

      Potential energy is due to position of a body /particle. Again it depends on the strength of the field at the point. If the strength at the point can be varied, we can vary the potential energy of the particle too. But some field like gravity can't be shield but magnetic field can be shielded. So we can control potential energy of magnet in the magnetic field but not a mass in gravity. For More explanation email at msmswami1995@gmail.com
