Welcome back brother
It will always boggle my mind to think that Baldry, who was a prominent figure in the early London music scene and had connections to Rod Stewart, Elton John and the founding members of the Rolling Stones, is now mostly known for being the guy who said "Pingas" on a Sonic cartoon. Even though this isn't the kind of music I normally listen to, it's undeniable that he had a great voice.
Yeah I was surprised to read this album was a commercial flop and led to Baldry being depressed. It's not necessarily my go to music either but it's a fun eclectic album and every song is a banger with some undeniably classic music. The album art makes it look like a religious folk album which might be part of why it wasn't more successful. But it sounds like Baldry really got done dirty by the music industry largely for being flamboyant. RIP Long John Baldry.
That's insane.
Constantly discovering great music via this channel. Thank you once again!
Excelente disco. Gracias
Welcome back Sir!
TP I was concerned that perhaps something has gone wrong. Glad to have u back friend ✌🏾🙏🏾
Thank you! I bit off a bit more than I could chew this summer learning viola/cornet/clarinet and a few other instruments, pretty much just worked and practiced the past few months but have been meaning to get back to uploading regularly. Have a ton of stuff to upload it's just gotten harder to find albums that either aren't up already or won't get blocked.
💜thank you
