@@michaelmcdonald8452 Goop, and by extension Paltrow, have faced backlash for showcasing expensive products and promoting medically and scientifically impossible treatments, many of which have harmful consequences. The controversies have included vaginal steaming, the use of jade eggs, a dangerous coffee enema device, and "Body Vibes", wearable stickers that were claimed to "rebalance the energy frequency in our bodies" and which Goop falsely claimed were made of a NASA-developed material. Goop settled a lawsuit regarding the health claims it made over the jade eggs. There’s more.

She's one of those people like Alec Baldwin where you see them on Letterman and they are charming and hysterical and then you read about them and they seem completely wack-a-doodle.
I think people are too harsh on her. By all accounts, she seems to be a very nice, smart person but she just has some flaky, rich girl issues with the products she sells. Baldwin absolutely seems unhinged.

@@rockturtleneck I would add that she risked her career by being one of the first women to speak out about Harvey Weinstein. So, I can imagine that some of her weirdness stems from that traumatic experience.
@@hutch1197 Great point--she was on Howard Stern once and told a story about that incident and how she told her then-boyfriend Brad Pitt about it and Pitt confronted Weinstein at the Oscars or somewhere and said he'd kill him if he laid another hand on her. This was before either one of them were big stars so they were definitely putting their careers at risk. It's probably on RUclips somewhere. I agree though, her kookiness is quite harmless and usually just related to her company/brand.
