    How Cardinals usedvto be dressed on ceremonial occasions until Paul VI simplified things after avatican II. I am oldcenought to remember this.

      Your command of English is poor. By ‘heavy’ do you mean ‘beautiful’? Many Catholic philistines hate beauty. I wonder why.

      @@ransomcoates546 No, they mean "heavy" cause putting the beauty factor aside, the vestments do seem to be a bit heavy, especially with today's heat. I agree with OP and I too am glad that they've fallen out of use nowadays. Imagine the heat strokes the cardinals could get. We'd lose more than half, if not the entire college of cardinals!

      They have not been abolished lmao we still have a Pope and he still goes around parading himself, attracting millions. I can tell you that a lot of my generation longs for the tradition of the Church.
