House of the Dragon episode 10, The Black Queen, shows us how Rhaenyra and Daemon react to the news of Viserys’ passing and Aegon’s crowning as the new king of Westeros. Rhaenys’ arrival with the news of what’s going on down in King’s Landing sends Rhaenyra into premature labor, and she is forced to try and keep Daemon and the rest of the realm together during all of it. Corlys and Rhaenys decide to back Rhaenyra’s claim to the throne and provide sea and air support. After Rhaenyra recovers from her misscarriage, she begins to assess the situation and see which Houses will continue to stand with her. She sends her sons Jacaerys and Lucerys out on dragonback to check in with the Arryns, Starks and Baretheons, however one of the sons does not return. Jessica Clemons and Brandon Barrick react to this incredible season finale, and layout what’s at stake for season 2!

@@naenon331 he's probably more upset about losing one their dragons than the kid honestly. Daemon's a sociopath, not incapable of love but very selective and he clearly holds their dragon's higher than any of the men they control and I think he wasn't really attached the the strong boys but would still fight for them simply out of principle and loyalty to their side.

Of course, they're all FAR more related than that because, as we all know, the Targaryen family tree is a god damned wreath. Don't _EVEN_ try to suss out how little Viserys & Aegon the younger are related to their half siblings and parents - WHEW. That's a mess.

I'm as sad about having to wait for more episodes as I am for having to wait for more of your two's commentary on them. Seriously, I enjoy this channel and have for years ever since it was just a little baby on youtube but the talking dragons has been my favorite segment. Daemon prob sees Arrax in the sea. He goes and see why he hasn't returned and surveys the ocean as he does.
Also pretty sure Otto is going to spend all of next season biting his fingers and muttering to himself "Why have I done this?"
I think it would have been nice to have a brief scene showing Daemon scouring the coast near Storm's End and finding Arrax's washed up corpse. I also did wonder how he suddenly knew of his ill fate. Then again, they probably had a run time to stick to and had to leave some blanks for our imaginations to fill in.
Ravens of course. I'm pretty sure they can put two and two together that lucearys never made it back with arrax and that aemond was last seen terrorizing and threatening the boy before they both left on Dragon back.
I imagine if pieces of a dragon and the finest cloths in that part of the realm fall to earth I sure they know whose’s it belong too
Another thing to consider is how often have the dragons been pitted against each other? Sure the dragons obey their riders against other foes but against another dragon? Perhaps its symbolism for the “house of the dragon” vs everyone else. The only thing that can take down the dragon is a dragon

Yeah, I'm assuming that they were still over the storm land kingdom and for all we know guards or villagers saw glimpses of the chase or maybe even saw the chunks of dragon falling down. Think that can be explained away pretty safely without implicating daemon was around for any of it.

I think Arax was afraid of the monster dragon and used what he had to defend himself. It's no difference than if a cat or dog would react to a threat. A cat would hiss and scratch and the dog would growl and bite. It was a stressful situation and no human orders would matter.

Rhaena and Lucerys are related by blood, just not as closely as they are related legally. Lucerys is the great great grandson of Jaehaerys, and Rhaena is the great granddaughter. So Rhaena, Baela, and Rhaenyra are second cousins, so Jace and Luke would be third to them? For a Targaryen that's like not related at all.
Although Rhaenyra, Laena, and Laenor are also second cousins

Luke is very much related to Rheyna, on both sides.
Rheyna is Daemons daughter. Daemon is Lukes Uncle/stepfather.
Daemon is married to Lukes Mother, Rhenerya, (Daemons brothers daughter).
Rhenerya, is Rheyna’s 1st cousin. Therefore Rheyna is Lukes step sister cousin wife.

It seems that you two are forgetting that Daemon was originally the heir at the beginning of the season.
