I completely agree with all the tips you've given here, and feel that if more companies watched videos like this, there would be better customer service all everywhere! The worst thing to deal with, as a customer, is initial bad customer service, and instantly, you can tell when a receptionist doesn't like their job. If you don't like being a receptionist, you really should strive for other positions and not settle. There are people out there waiting for work and would love to do what you do. Thanks again for the tips!

I started today!!! I have amazing communication skills and a great personality but it is sooooo chaotic and hectic and busy and everyone else is running around like crazy I’m overwhelmed already but I know I can do it with the right training. I just hope I get the right training!

Whenever I stop seeing a dentist it's almost always because of an extremely rude receptionist. The dentists and doctors themselves are usually great.

I disagree with the smile comment. In its place, I would recommend positive, happy tone of voice and attitude.

Too many times when i call a place, even the bank, i get bad customer service and a nasty attitude even when I've been polite and nice the whole call. Completely unacceptable.
Edit: When i have to call the bank i dread it because I know the type of service I'm going to get 😩

I completely disagree with testing your receptionist to see how they handle ppl. There's no need to do that. I have never seen a time where receptionists couldn't be supervised by management at some point in the day. Furthermore, if you really have question then why are they your team member. If you have to question trust, they are not the right person for your office.

Great video! Btw, is anyone looking for a front desk position in Broward/Miami county in FL? Also looking for a treatment coordinator.
