Those robots look neat, Can’t wait for what to come next!
I went to Miami Beach last summer and they could use this technology. I was very surprised at how much litter was on the beach.
Step 1.
Pick up trash using robot.
Step 2.
Take trash to waste management.
Step 3.
Waste management dumps trash into ocean.
Step 4.
Proceed to step 1
Technology to clean the ocean is also an innovation.
Facilitate problems, get a robot babysitter, allow trashy people to live trashy lives, the solution is more garbage treating garbage. I like the concept, but have a punish bot, that identifies the polluter, and behind the scenes above the law, its wipes that persons mind and makes them a perfect person, that Captain Planet as played by Don Cheadle can be proud of.
chaotic good
I think they covered this at the end - target the people who cause the problem. I’m not so keen on mind wipes. They need to remember they did wrong!
@@froglady7491 hahaha, the government is already doing this, criminals exit prison, say they are guilty and enjoyed the stay. It was hated it, was innocent surrounded by the same.
😂😂😂😂😂
That is a great invention❤
This thing gonna make metal detecting beaches obsolete. I'm sure this machine finds jewelry!
I had the same thought. They should be scanning the collected debris for metals post cleaning.
Love to see technology being used to help Mother Nature❤.
The pricing is ridiculous lol
All new inventions cost at lot at the beginning. If they catch on, the price comes down. Look at what happened to automobiles. When Ford created the assembly line, the price dropped from $780 to $290.
The Ocean Cleanup also has multiple bigger trash collectors set up in various countries.
WALL-E! EVA!
🤖
These things are way too expensive!
They require human operation and are disappointingly small to have a significant impact.
Fantastic that we’re doing all we can to reverse our effects on the environment. Cleaning the water after boats pollute with gas and oil should be mandatory.
Hopefully, they make underwater and seafloor versions.
amazing
Beach rakes aren’t new, especially if it needs to be manually controlled.
Most of those devices seem too small to actually make a difference
Love this inventions 👏🏻
Cali water proud 'o' you Cnet
We've added even more plastic production through 3D prints.
I ❤ U Wall-E !!
Why is there so much trash there in the first place? 🤔
Ackt, what about the baby turtles? Willie
This is an infomercial.
Awsome! Smart ethical people make for smart ethical robots.
I love it!
My mom always would say " come judgement day, the lord will ask you why you litered" so i dont do it
Look up the ocean cleanup up this but on a much larger scale
i really hope there's more budget for technology that helps to clean up the ocean. it' the least humanity can do to undo the damage we've done over the century
It's nice to have all the garbage hidden away in dumps but plastics are still being produced at literally millions of tons every month. This is great! But we have so far to go to clean up the mess we made and are still very much making. Corporations should be paying for this, it is their fault for producing single use plastics and other garbage. If they did not profit from pollution they would not pollute.
In my guild chat room i talk about renewable energy.
is that good?
☕ Happy Sunday ☕
I am sure this is a good machine, but the basic idea has been around for decades. I remember back in the 1970s-1980s they would clean the beach almost daily during the Summer but would have a tractor pulling a rake that captured the trash, seaweed and rocks leaving the sand perfectly clean. Then for some reason in the 1990s they determined they would not clean up the beach due to disruption of life below the sand. Personally, I think they didn't want to spend the money and saying it was bad for the ecology got it passed. Robot part isn't really needed, just a tractor operator. I assume this machine still requires an operator.
Awesome :)
The more trash they take out of the sand and water, 7x more will be dumped each day. Unless the behaviors that cause pollution are changed you are just doing busy work. Stay busy.
starting off easy at that gorgeous lake but the real test would be Texas lakes. Disgusting
It would be nice if we didn’t put it there in the first place.
When you are able do it yourself by carrying out debris created by you n dumping it in your nearest dustbin ..... Think about whether you need those machines which emits carbon dioxide is going to help it out ! Protect your surroundings so that you can protect yourself .
Why can't we teach people to just pick up their own garbage?
Nothing better then trying to save the environment. But @ what cost? The machines are fantastic but the prices are ridiculous. Serious people who want to help the environment don't charge these horrendous prices that some companies that need these can't afford!
Amazing!! I love technology!! Now if we can just stop throwing trash into the ocean ( Florida teenagers throw trash into the ocean) !
If it's remote controlled and doesn't look like a robot then it isn't a robot
Overall, I very strongly support these "solutions". However, there is a social component that needs to be addressed: SOME people are pigs and abuse the environment, carelessly leaving their trash in public places. I have witnessed people dumping garbage from their vehicles into street gutters, as well as placing empty cups and bottles near their parking spaces in public garages. Shameless, inconsiderate and lazy.
Awesome! Looking to expand our local volunteer cleanup program and might reach out to Searial Cleaners for a mutual publicity boost. It would be a great inspirational and motivational boost for the whole area!
Yes prevention needs to be addressed everyone in the comments! BUT there will always be littering in a free society in our lifetime, so clean-up will always be necessary and these are some of many solutions or tools to improve the work of clean-up. If you are inspired to think of practical and real world ways to prevent more littering please share or do something for your community. Voucher programs to cover dump fees or free dump days are just one of many possible solutions to reduce the amount of litter.
