I'm still not sure why setting correct date and time would have ANY impact on your internet speed?? Like if you set it back to 2005 you get ADSL speed, while you set it to 2022 you get 5G speed.. Come on!
Because it will set your server time zone. The closer the server locally to your location the faster your speed....
@@jewishhella2481 Seriously? Any decent speed test app will select the nearest server based on the distance, not the time you have locally set. If only there is such an easy way to spoof your location while on the internet.. There's a thing called geolocating, which is used for like past 20 years. Any web server can easily know your IP address, or GPS location if you give permission to the website. Changing the time will have zero effect on convincing it that you're somewhere else.
Internet connections themselves will generally work, but many applications and protocols won't. There are more and more things that depend on an accurate time of day, and if the time is not correctly set a lot of things will break. Copy protection, encryption, authentication, are just a few examples of things that require the correct time of day.
I unfortunately had no change in speed. My Samsung 7000 seems to max out at around 46 - 123 mbps. I have no idea how to change it. I've done the 1111 or 8888 as above. I've had no improvement unfortunately.
This 100% worked for me. The 8888 part did the trick!

Is there a way to check the actual speeds on the TV if so how?
turn on youtube app at your tv, play some 4k or high quality video, press up and look for "developers" button in youtube menu, so once you get into developers menu, there will be some kind of stroke about actual speed
