A guy who looks like if he participated in bar fights in every significant pub from Dover to Belfast with a 85+ percent win rate reviews a cutesy little game about silly falling pirate elephants... a combination I didn't know I needed but I'm glad I received.
Hi dude! This is the first time I hear about this game. It sounds very funny and yes, it really looks great. Thank you for another honest and to-the-point review
My 4yo loves it, we call each other cheater all the way through! 😂 I think the overproduction is needed to appeal to youg kids though, they feel very engaged with the detailed minis even before the game starts.
I thought it was a bit of fun, but my kids were bored of it in a weekend, after playing it about 6 times... do i got rid. Nowt wrong with it, it just wasn't going to get played.
A good game for kids, but also a good game to make 4 adults carry on like a bunch of idiots for 20 minutes. Same family as Loopin' Louie, Rhino Hero, or Click Clack Lumberjack.
For a 2-4 player push your luck game, that is easily house ruled for tournament play, its on my wishlist 🎉. Have you played Diamont the push your luck temple game that can be played with a standard poker deck?
I'm comfortable with the over-production, as it does aid the enjoyment, but I agree that the alternative win condition can feel very flat. I don't know what the odds are but it really feels like it ought to be a desperate longshot, rather than a potential viable strategy. Of interest, they've apparently created a life size version for conventions. Now *that* would be fun to watch.
Looks decent, wonder how it compares to SPOTS- ever play that one? That might be the best dice-based push your luck game out there, would love to hear your thoughts if you get a chance to play it!
I already have Dune Imperium and can’t really justify the purchase of uprising. War for Arrakis is £112 so I won’t be covering that one until the price drops to a more reasonable level. I buy 99% of games with my own money 👍🏻
Always young bollocks the place I come to for pachyderm related reviews. I am ambivalent to such games ever since a friend was sprayed by an elephant in India and caught a lung related disease not known since the days of the Raj. It's all true, sadly the elephant in the room. I suspect I would not easily be able to get this particular elephant to the table. Elephants are renowned for their memories. Unfortunately so is my friend. He gave it a bun for Christ's sake. I would advise discretion in the face of elephants or Irish women. They are only after you for your buns. Confectionery or bread products are no basis for a long standing relationship.
I suspect that the object that you're looking at to your right at the start of your videos is some dude who isn't a subscriber that you abducted while they were in the middle of leaving a comment on one of your videos and left crumpled in a heap by your feet after kicking the snot out of them. That said, I hope you don't mi

He looks more like the lead singer of the stereo MCs
nothing silly about elephant pirates. you must thinking of the kiddiy raccoon pirates. elephants pirates are for real men.
Thought this would be a big seller so I bought in a ton of these for Christmas and cleared the lot. And it still sells well.

just bought a copy of 'Scotland Yard' from a charity shop, for £3. seem to remember you've done a review of it. i'll go and re-watch it 🙂

I couldn't wait to get home and watch this on the big screen. Worth it!

I bought it when it was Incan Gold
@@BoardGameBollocks do you still have it and enjoy it? Best of a mechanism video in the future?
Yes I still have it. It’s fine. Stay in or leave…depends what group I’m playing with. Better with full 8.

With people as the elephants?
@@BoardGameBollocks I'm hoping so!
the alernative wincon is great with younger kids: see their risk management psychology evolve is really incredible
The XXL version will be twice as big, not life size ;)
I'd like to see some new live game sessions with your family. Entertaining!
Will resume those shortly. My wife has been caring for her sick mother so it didn’t seem right recording games without her.
I fuckin love this channel.

Tried to get it about a year ago but it was out of stock. Completely forgot about it until now 👍🏻
Spots is a fun game
I've played both. Spots is way more "gamey", Stomp the Plank is way more fun.
Been playing loads of "spots" lately. One player is good as well.
Can you do a Dune Imperium Uprising or Dune War for Arakis review?
I already have Dune Imperium and can’t really justify the purchase of uprising.

@@BoardGameBollocks that's indeed too expensive unfortunately. What do you think of Dune Imperium?
@EphraimSyriacus love it…but not enough to buy it twice
Looks nice but thirty quid is steep for a kids game, I don't care how pretty it is. I'll keep an eye out at half that.
