Thank you very much! I'm doing more songs. I'll upload them soon. I'm always learning new things about FM sound, but I got most of the knowledge when I did MMX2612 1 and 2.
I thought there was some sort of trickery going on here, but, no, the more I listen, the more I'm pretty sure this is straight up PSG. My hats off to you ! Truly incredible. The main fault of the genesis sound truly lies with those simply not knowing how to use it. Really highlights the difference between those in the know and those that can't even use GEMS in a capable manner.
@@tangreen7267 Thanks very much buddy! The truth is, it is very expensive to make music on FM chips. But I always try to do my best. Of course there are no tricks or weird tricks here, but as you say, the PSG chip plays a fundamental role.
Already the BEST MD/Genny "Forest of Monsters" cover EVER MADE, just got to fix a few issues (this is a WIP after all). Vector Orbitex is in the Top 5 best MD musician around, keep up the fantastic work. P.S. SCIV is rated as one of the best Snes OST ever made, listen to this cover is heart-warming!!!
Looks good and an excellent rendition of "Forest of Monsters" to go with. It's cool to see this while a project working on porting Bloodlines to the SNES is also being worked on. It'll be interesting to see how they pull that one off.
It sounds practically identical to the original in certain parts, I can't imagine anything better. Im excited to see the full version of the Submerged City theme
As one who, on balance, definitely prefers the freshness, fluidity, clarity, richness and "heft" of the Genesis' FM/PSG/DAC system to the more flexible but far mushier and wooden ADPCM SNES sound system, but yet for whom the Super Castlevania IV soundtrack is one of my all time favorite soundtracks (and games) anyway, hearing a quality Genesis rendition is like music to my ears! It's an amazing treatment of an amazing source material on hardware I generally prefer over the original! What's not to love about it?! Please keep this project up! I would love to play (and listen to) the finished product! Also, only tangentially related: I love that you are not keeping this port at the original's 256x224 resolution, but are using the Genesis' full 320x224 capability! This will result in a much tighter image when played on a CRT...which I hope and pray I might someday get to do! ❤️ Cheers!!!
Still too fast, the "ascending phase" of the jump got some sort of micro-stuttering/hiccup too. Again, i still not like at all the (grainy)"dust" effect on EVERY jump landing you do, of course NOT present in the original Snes game... hope everything will be fixed in the future release.
@slashrose3287 maybe a long just can have dust, but yeah the jumping physics got better they listened to me but still needs work yup its like too much gravity down idk
1. Movement seems a bit closer ot the original. Stlil not quite there, but it's getting better. 2. The graphics look amazingly close, great job. 3. Music is AWESOME. In some parts I wouldn't be able to tell the difference from the SNES original. Oh man, "forest of monsters". One of my favorite Super Castlevania IV tunes. Really brings me back to the faraway year of... 2009. Late evening, I'm playing Super Castlevania IV on an emulator while drinking Mountain Dew (don't judge me. Alright, do judge me. Although I haven't had any in almost a decade) and texting with my girlfriend.
Hi I’d like to offer a good choice for a GEMS YM2612 cover for stage 2 of operation C and while I’m on the subject, at some point I wanna learn how to code, I wanna make a mock up pixel art for what an operation C port would look like on a 16 hit console, it is probably my most memorable Konami game

@@vectororbitex7866 , I hear you on that. I know things like samples cost bigger cartridges that counts. You're doing a great job. Thank you !

That blast processing has Simon moving a little faster than on the SNES
Do you want to play Sonic or Castlevania? Nonsense
This looks awesome too! 👌
One of my favorite songs in the game and wow it's amazing!!!!!!!!
Hell yeah! One of my favorite tracks in the game.
Excellent !

music amazing mega drive style
Man, this is awesome.
Vector Orbitex is a genius!
Percussions are a bit off at the start, but the part at 0:36 is amazingly accurate.
I'm aware. That's why I wrote, a work in progress.
Very good the music!
linda obra de Arte , imagine essa beleza completa , Amo SNES e MEGA DRIVE , FiNALIZEI DO Snes , esse ai a musica ta Showw a jogabilidade tambem 😭❤❤❤
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Amazing! =,)
Really nice. Congrats.
Best tune of the game!
tão deixando a gente sonhar
Muy bueno !!!
Quiero seguir testeando los juegos que traigas a tu canal si es posible si querés te paso mi WhatsApp
Jumping seems better (needs a bit less "gravity pull down so fast" though yet)

Impresionante suena como el original😮
Aunque con muy baja resolución de audio. Suena casi como una GBA.

Uau que foda
La música es genial, el personajes va demasiado rápido, parece que tiene prisa.
In the animation frames a little more but you did progress
The controls feels so much faster and looks better then slow Super nintendo version 😂
Faster doesn't mean it's better, it should be in between because the movement looks jarring when he moves faster.
@@aweirdredtoad3637eh he just trollin, he posted the same comment many months before
@@P5dfsf64g36 I'm not trolling like wtf 😒 SEGA GENESIS version does it better
@aweirdredtoad3637 faster gameplay is better on this version which super nintendo can not handle
@P5dfsf64g36 Yea, I noticed his other comments. Not sure what's his problem, both has its highs and lows but they are great in their own ways.
Please fix the gravity, the speed at witch the characters falls to the graound it seems too heavy or is falling too fast.
It will get fixed. It's a work in progress.
El nivel del suelo está demasiado arriba en algunas partes. El personaje casi puede tocar el HUD.
How about the sound mode to have the options make the music and sound effects sound like this homebrew or Bloodlines?
You still need to fix the weird speed at which the character moves and jumps. The music was good.
I’m aware. I don’t want to fix it until Shannon Birt is finished with the special effects.
The music is 1000 times better than Super Famicom. For those who disagree, please upgrade your sound system
the same in sparkster
