    I have to admit, you made me a little nervous starting the new plugs using the ratchet, but you have inspired me to "tune up" my Bullitt a little early. Kool vid. Keep them coming.

      I like to take a 12-18 inch piece of fuel hose push the plug in one end and use the hose to start the plugs threading in, by doing it this way if they are trying to cross thread the plug will slip in the fuel line not allowing you to turn it any further potentially stripping the threads

    • @OctaneStreet
      @OctaneStreet  3 года назад

      @@philsmith5829 Never heard of or seen that method, but I think I understand it enough to see how it could work. Pretty neat little trick, thanks for sharing.

    • @OctaneStreet
      @OctaneStreet  Год назад

      Haven't had any issues with em so far so they're doing great. I remember thinking about replacing fuel injectors but iirc it might not be necessary unless you're future proofing the car to add a lot of power down the line. Really can't remember though, would just recommend doing some research ofcourse! Good luck with the install 👊

    Get yourself a cold air intake, headers and a tune man to complement them coil packs and spark plugs. That thing would rip.

    • @TOX_Ron
      @TOX_Ron 3 года назад +1

      Fun fact: Aftermarket coil packs restore power and add some extra power. Not a substantial amount but it is better than nothing.

      I have a CAI and Tune in my possession already :) just need to change a few fluids within a week or two before I dyno my car "stock" and then install the cai and tune! Headers and mid pipe will come down the road, my car is in desperate need of a suspension upgrade since its badly worn.

    Hello I have a question, I have a Ford Mustang GT 2006. My parents ran over a deer with it by accident so I’m having to buy a lot of parts to fix it but I have no clue how to fix it myself and was wondering where is the best place to get parts and find how to fix it

    • @OctaneStreet
      @OctaneStreet  3 года назад

      Yikes, that is one heck of a story. A great place to get OEM parts for a vehicle is honestly the dealership. I believe most Ford Dealerships might be able to sell you OEM 06' Mustang parts if you place an order with them, and I believe their prices are usually fair. For other parts you might want to check local classifieds and ebay, etc. As for trying to install the parts yourself, look up each thing on youtube and do the installs one by one. It helps if you can find a friend or family member to help out. Good luck man, and just know it's probably going to take a little while before you get everything fixed. Repairing things on your own with little help and knowledge can sometimes make the repairs take 5x as long!

      @@OctaneStreet I'm currently trying to figure out an issue with my auto 05 GT. It idles fine yet when put in gear it begins to misfire and when accelerating it loses all power. However it will not throw any codes. I'm going to use this video and hope it works out for me.

    • @OctaneStreet
      @OctaneStreet  3 года назад

      @@Shadow-do3ej If it's only in gear it's probably a different issue, google what you just told me and see what pops up. Also try scanning your car because even tho there are no lights on the dash it might still have a code for you (unless you already checked). Sometimes it can be the silliest thing that causes this, like a loose intake hose or maf sensor... Hopefully it's something simple in your case as well. If you feel your shifter moving a lot too though while in gear it can be a tranny issue as well, maybe slipping gears or something who knows, let me know what it is when you find out and if you remember to come back. Good luck

    • @Shadow-do3ej
      @Shadow-do3ej 3 года назад

      @@OctaneStreet I've been researching this for a few weeks now and everything points to maf, dirty throttle body, or spark plugs and coils. I've done everything except the spark and coils. Should have been more specific earlier the idle is not misfiring but occasionally runs rough. Once in gear it slugs around and misfires really bad only when accelerating. Appreciate you replying as well that's really cool of you.

    • @OctaneStreet
      @OctaneStreet  3 года назад

      @@Shadow-do3ej If viewers take the time to watch my content and comment, then I do the same! Glad I wasn't too far off with the MAF guess as well. If you haven't changed the plugs in a while I suppose it would be a good idea to get a tune-up done anyway then since it can definitely be the culprit. Make sure you don't have any vaccuum leaks anywhere; you can possibly hear it if you have one by having someone revv the car a little while you listen to the engine bay with the hood open. Make sure your intake if it's the stock one is seated 100% properly underneath the airbox lid (i've seen this cause a similar issue in the past as well on a V6 Mustang). It wasn't seated 100% proper and caused misfires and loss of power. Good luck man.
