Even tiny places feel huge if you have natural lighting. If you do not you have to play up the walls, the colors of paint, the horizontal lines, minimal decor and the lighting is crucial. Rather than lighting beaming down on you, you direct lighting UP by using lamps, lightning strips on the top of the shelves, lamps with skinny long legs.
