The RC remote was definitely the highlight of using the Mini 3 and what's even better is that it works with all of the other new drones. I hated using my phone, especially when the cable wouldn't connect properly.
That was some amazing footage you got there. Thanks for sharing. I flew my Mini 3 Pro yesterday and the wind gusts were hitting 30 mph. as per UAV Forecast. I should have checked it before taking off but the drone handled it surprisingly well. Yes that's probably a bit much for a sub 250 gram drone but surprisingly the videos were stable even though the horizon on the compass was tilted as much as 45 degrees. I had no idea the winds up there were so strong until I got home and even then, it wasn't until I watched the screen shots that noticed the tilt in the compass horizon, the 4K footage didn't reveal any signs of wind. I will say that I only got just over 31 minutes of flight time with only 10% battery life left in the the Plus batteries upon landing due to the wind. The drone went into forced landing just as it came over the landing pad at about 6 feet above the ground so all I had to do was let it land. I typically will have over 20% battery life left on the Plus batteries after a 30 to 32 minute flight.
That's incredible! When I was flying it was tilting and being pushed by the wind as well which didn't affect the video at all like you said! It was just going a lot slower when flying against the wind which resulted in the battery dropping pretty fast! Still got a lot of juice but I was afraid I wasnt going to make it back to where I took off! Thanks for your insight. I wasn't able to test it a ton so next time I have it in my hands, I'll have to try it out more. Also thanks for the sub! Great appreciated 🙌🏼
@@bradenarchinuk Yes in deed, in these kind of conditions I may only get around 25 minutes of flight time out of the Plus batteries landing with about 13% battery life when I'll typically get over 30 minutes out of them. When I say 30 minutes of flight time, I don't usually allow my batteries to drop below 20% battery life before landing, so that 30 minutes could easily go beyond 35 minutes for those willing to go below 10% battery life. I guess in perfect conditions if someone is willing completely drain the batteries, it may be possible to get 47 minutes out of them. Here are the actual battery specs. (Maximum flight times) 34 mins (with Intelligent Flight Battery and measured while flying at 21.6 kph in windless conditions) 47 mins (with Intelligent Flight Battery Plus and measured while flying at 21.6 kph in windless conditions). (Maximum hover times) 30 mins (with Intelligent Flight Battery, no wind) 40 mins (with Intelligent Flight Battery Plus no wind). Here is one person getting over 40 minutes out of a Plus battery in a hover, thus confirming the hover time specs above. This leads me to believe that the flight times are probably just as accurate.
The Mini 3 Pro actually does really great in wind, I fly mine all the time in Florida on the beach. For its size its impressive in the wind, just don't get way down wind with low battery as it can take a while to get back. I started with Mini 1 which was horrible in wind then I got Mini 2 which is pretty good also but Mini 3 Pro is even way better
Yeah when I flew it, the footage was stable! It was more like what you said...trying to fly back against the wind, it was going super slow and the battery was burning up quickly! I was afraid it was going to drop into the ocean 😂 I'll have to try it out some more to get a better perspective
Thank you! I rented this drone just to try it out and didn't realize there was a sharpness and noise setting! Next time I have it, I'll definitely check that out.
Good question! The footage is stable in the wind but since it's super light, the drone gets pushed quite a bit in the wind. While I was flying it, it was very slow going against the wind. Battery diminished pretty quickly since it was working against the wind. You could definitely fly it in wind but I would keep it close to you and be cautious of how much wind there is.
👍👍✌️ You captured some nice colours there.
Thank you! The location was naturally very pretty so it wasn't too hard to get some nice colors!
I originally had the Mini 2 and now upgraded to the Mini 3 Pro. JUst love the RC remote

@@bradenarchinuk Same here. And my screen would fade mid flight
@@TonesDroneVisuals HAHA right! I haven't tried that RC Pro yet! Have you? It looks similar to the RC remote so not sure if it's worth the upgrade
@@bradenarchinuk Haven't even seen a RC Pro remote in the wild. Considering it costs more than the drone it will only be a dream
Great videos and photos. If you dont like a lot of sharpness you can reduce it in the camera settings. Three dots.
Thank you Alfredo! I'll have to check out those settings next time I use it! Thanks for letting me know

Sweet drone for sure
It’s REALLY worth the hype 😤
Honestly is. Even Bryce's dad bought one and he's a pilot 🔥

Yes you should! It's a great drone even for wedding photography!
Great footage! What noise and sharpness settings do you use with the DJI Mini 3 Pro?

It does have external battery charger.

I edited this using Adobe Premiere Pro!
