I wish we had made it over to Diamond Reef on this trip. I remember when we dove it on our trip in 2018 and it was one of the best dives of the week. And way to power through getting back on that dinghy, Sara! That is not easy. Great video as usual, friends!
Hi Dean! That reef is a special shallow dive - we had a great time diving it with the group in 2018. It was interesting to see changes such as more tarpon and no tunicates this time. I was determined to get back in the dinghy all by myself! Now I’m ready for the next sailing/diving trip! Thanks for watching! - - Sara
This is awesome. I am a Scarab jet boat dealer and low and behold, a Scarab is in the background when u tied up the dinghy. Once again, another nice video regardless.
Hi Sara I re watched the video I missed it the first time ? Personal triumps are the best ! Way to go ! The diving there is exceptional I live right on the lake bank on the north shore of Lake Erie The wind has blown the ice off shore can still see it on the horizon going to wait a bit to go diving One time I went diving on a shipwreck ice was on the horizon I tied the anchor line to the wreck the water was so cold I got a bloody nose so I figured I should come up Ice was 100 feet from the boat 10 feet when I ditched the line Have a great day @
I take the triumphs whenever I can get them, ha ha! Wow! Don't mess around with Lake ice - glad your story turned out okay, could have been a much different ending if you hadn't come up when you did. Must be interesting to watch the changes in the Lake from your place. Enjoy your afternoon! - - Sara
Ha ha ha ha ! Be a man Jeff! Give the lady a hand! Almost looked like it might have ended up as one of those ( not tonight Jeff! ) moments !. The lady is struggling you are telling her to suck it up . Awsome dive ! I liked the split shots ! half in and out of the water ! The diver in the foreground gives the reef profile scale Once again you pointed out fish and stuff on the bottom I Would have never noticed ! Can be challenging getting back in a dingy ! a zodiac is worse One time the local fire dept were out with their zodiac practicing pulling people out of the water using different techniques the guy would get under the tube and they had a awful time getting him aboard floating a roolled up net under him I have a dive ladder I almost went over and got him What I face if I am diving alone even with a dive flag passerbys see an empty boat and call the authorities So what I do I pick some body up fishing off the dock that traveled from inland and the end of the dock has been the farthest they have ever been out in the lake. and take them out as a boat sitter fishing. There is usually fish around a ship wreck If they are not lucky fishing when I am done diving I go to a couple of good spots I know and fish with them I have made a few good friends over the years Have a Great Day !
Hi Carl ! Jeff really did offer to help, but I was determined to do it myself! I don't get to practice often. If three sets of dive gear hadn't been sitting in the bottom I may have had an easier time. All is well though and I was proud of myself for getting in. Evan made it look very easy! That's a great idea to pick up a fisherman and use them as a boat sitter. It's a win-win for both of you! Thanks for your comment and have a great day! - - Sara

Thanks for watching - we appreciate it! The Scarab is a nice looking boat plus it looks comfortable too. I can see why they are popular.
