I wish you hadn't emphasized that the person doing this would be a "kid" or "kiddo." I'm 39, autistic, and do this frequently. I totally don't think it was intended, but it kind of made me feel, via implication, that I'm immature because of doing this action.

Sorry you felt that way, and no it wasn't the intention at all! We're a tech company that makes tablets for kids with neurodiverse minds, so our videos cater to parents who are learning about their children. Hence why kid and kiddo were used. Hope you can understand our intentions :)

I just learned this term today. I'm autistic and have definitely done this sort of thing since I was a kid; but I didn't know that there was a word for it, or that it was even a little unusual (maybe due to growing up with other autistics). Thanks for for your summary of the topic!

Ah yes, like the cute secretary at my last job😅 I remember every morning I'd walk by her desk, there'd be 3-4 cups of coffee, all from different stores, sitting on her desk. I just thought she was really into coffee. Then one day I had an actual question about coffee and figured she would know if I asked, but she laughed and said "oh no I don't know squat about coffee, dont even drink it that much, all these cups you see are from men who work here".
    Pebbling lol

I've done this for most of my life! My stepson once gave me a huge gumnut and that was the *first time* that *anyone* had ever given me such a wonderful feeling. Until today I didn't know what pebbling was, but I know I was often hurt that those I loved didn't show me in a way that I understood...the way that gumnut did. Thank you *SO* much!

So, we recently got a cat. I've been teaching my children that, if you know how to understand cats, you'll most likely understand the crucial criterion needed to build trust with people on varying levels of the spectrum. Cats pinguin pebble us when they bring us a half-eaten critter they caught.
There's a great YT video called, "If people behaved like cats," and it very much resembled neurodivergence!

Absolutely they do! We make videos catered towards children as we are a kids tech company, but we certainly don't mean to exclude any adults!!

I’ve met some new friends and I like to bring them things from my collections that I think the person would also find interesting. If my new friend says they like my nail polish and I find out they like nail polish, when I go home I grab all my nail polish that I think they would like to show them. Or fragrance, I bring the fragrances that I think they would like to smell. Sometimes I do give them the one that is their favorite. Even if I don’t always give them something, does this count as penguin babbling?

It sounds very similar to penguin pebbling! Either way - it's super nice of you to think of doing things like that for your friends!!
