My bet is Ahsoka is trying to find Ezra and finding Thrawn would be the first step. If she is finding Ezra, my guess is Sabine is also trying to find him. This puts Ezra at the center of that story, and I have to wonder if he'll be the key to training Grogu. Don't know how or why, but if he's been lost in hyperspace for all these years, he's probably spent plenty of time with the Force. I love how much Mandalorian S2 has been expanding the SW universe.

Ezra had travelled with admiralThraw through those space whales (which travel to the speed of light and took the ship Ezra and Thrawn were in). So as you can easily understand Ashoka is still after Ezra and the key to Ezra is Thrawn, who somehow must have survived th travel with Ezra. Let's hope Ezra had the same fate and the unfortunate did not happed.

Please let Thrawn have NOTHING to do with the First Order, and set his Empire of the Hand in motion as the next major antagonist faction. As we move forward with the Star Wars franchise, the less we involve the down right pitiful First Order the better.
There was a rumour that they will slowly introduce inconsistencies in the Mandalorian which deny the sequel trilogy. For example, in Chapter 10, in the flashback scene, they showed the Death Star 2.0 exploding. This explosion did not have the lower part separating and falling downwards which we see in the Rise of Skywalker.

My theory: Moff Gideon is looking for a conqueror, a weapon once feared throughout the galaxy to turn against the new republic. We know it requires the dna or blood of a force sensitive, Grogu. We also know that Palpatine already has his own plan in the works to revive himself. What if Gideon is looking to revive Darth Vader? a) it makes sense to have the Empire's best weapon back, as a leader, a warrior, and as a symbol to project fear/power. b) keeping the Emperor out of the way gives a chance to shake up the status quo and potentially allow for more power for Moff Gideon and his faction of the Empire to dominate the others. The Emperor would unite the Empire, but Gideon and Vader would dominate it. c) the Empire likely does not know Vader betrayed the Emperor. unless Palpatine made contact with the remenants and told them what happened. But I doubt that he did because it appears to me that he relied only on the resources of the secret sith sect on Exegol. d) but instead of Vader, it backfires and they get a resurrected Anakin whose spirit inhabits the clone body. He then takes the child and trains him to be a jedi in secret. At the very least, the theory is solid fan fiction material I guess.

wow.. that opening just reminded me how bad they did Ahsoka. Here she uses her lightsabers like she does not know how to use them, heavy strikes like she is trying to hammer her opponent with no skill. Honestly she should easily have taken him out and the lady with the spear.
They did that for pretty obvious reasons. To show that Beskar is resistant vs sabers because the main enemy has one and they are obviously going to fight and this is Ahsoka and lightsabers first tv show debut so they have to show and give reason to show off because lightsabers are still one of the coolest things about Star Wars
Also Ahsoka fought Darth Vader in his prime so you’re right she could’ve and should’ve destroyed both of them easily but sadly that’s not how tv shows work when dealing with lore consistency
