  • Come be a fly on my wall and see what we do all day! I have 10 children and live on 36 acres. (Only 6 are home this spring.) See how we share the chores, homeschool, make meals, work outside together, play together, and love each other. I'm so blessed to be the mama of these precious children and live on our gorgeous little farm.

    i've been watching your videos all afternoon. We live in Germany where homeschooling is not legal unfortunately and I am often so burned out with my job, the business, two kids. And I don't know where i'm getting with this comment xD just that I find your way of living very inspiring and that I want to try and have a bit of it in the limitations of this country.

    • @singlemomonafarm
      @singlemomonafarm  3 дня назад

      Thank you for watching! My oldest is in Germany right now doing an internship! I can't wait to hear about it when she comes home in August.
      I'm so sorry you're burned out and that you can't homeschool. I would hate that. That is not right at all. You should have the choice to teach your own children if you want.
      I really hope you find a way to live more of the life you want and deserve. It was hard for me to get out of my marriage which felt very oppressive but I'm so glad I did and was able to go for my dreams. I wouldn't have if others hadn't said it was possible. My sister in law told me God wouldn't have given me the dream to have a farm and country life if I wasn't supposed to do it. She told me I could do it if I put my mind to it. That I'd be given help to find the answer. And she was right. So I hope the same thing for you that you find the answer and solution you're looking for to be able to have more of the life you crave. You were meant to be happy and use the talents, interests god gave you.

    I'm enjoying your videos. Just a FYI, the volume on all of your videos that I've watched is very low. I have turned my volume up to the max and can hear somewhat if there is no background noise. You might consider wearing a portable mic for additional volume. Just a thought! Have a blessed day 🥰

      Oh thank you for saying something before I do too many videos!! I first tried a portable mic and it was worse than the camera. Too much footsteps could be heard. But I will do some research and get a better one. I hate that you can hardly hear it. That bothers me too when I can't hear a video or podcast. Thank you!

      @@janislevinson1462 There is a TV. It's above the rocking chair. Maybe I'm just short and it was hard to see, haha. Maybe in the house tour it might show, I can't remember. But yes, we have a TV. We definitely hardly watch it, but like to have a family movie night on cold winter nights. We also enjoy the Olympics and news when there's a winter storm coming. But, yeah, we're usually just too busy making things, playing outside, and working to have time for TV. Especially spring, summer, and fall when it's light out till bedtime.

They seem to get along and love each other, so God bless, Hope to hear from you soon bye-bye

    You’re doing a great job raising children with initiative, integrity, and independence. Your homeschool plans seem very balanced. How do you address the speech articulation development as a homeschool mom?

    • @singlemomonafarm
      @singlemomonafarm  Месяц назад +2

      Thanks! For speech, I just work with my kids myself, gently correcting and helping them when they're learning to talk from 2-4. It's nice that I'm home all day to hear it and work with them. But my 9th slipped through the cracks. That's when life was really hard and he was difficult so I didn't help him like I should have. Now he's past the stage where it's easily corrected and he does get offended. But other times he's willing to articulate better. I may get him real speech lessons; I haven't looked into it. We also do a lot of oral presentations and that helps them practice speaking loud and clear. And helps them as they all perform in plays. It's funny b/c the last play my 9th had a lot of lines and he articulated so well! So I know he can, he just doesn't always want to.

    • @rdjg5162
      @rdjg5162 Месяц назад

      It does get harder as they get older but you’re doing a good job. I’m in Texas and here students can access the speech therapist even if homeschooled. That might be something to consider.❤️

    Is that typically the amount of daily time your job/business require? If so you are an extremely fortunate single parent.

    • @singlemomonafarm
      @singlemomonafarm  Месяц назад +6

      No, I try to take a few hours in the afternoon and evening but that day was busier with a longer dinner cook time and trying to be filming. I also try to work all day Saturdays and then a good portion of the day all summer long to write a lot of curriculum and get it listed before school starts. I also run nature camps a couple of days a week in the summer that are from 9-3. And when I'm baby-sitting I'm getting paid even though I'm still homeschooling or cooking dinner. Also, whenever I go to town I drop off eggs at my customer's houses and do an odd job like walk a dog or clean a house with my kids. I love the variety of jobs! But when/if I start selling more lesson plans I won't have to do so many other odd jobs. It's definitely been a struggle and very stressful, but I've also seen a lot of miracles like money in my mailbox right when I needed it. We've always been taken care of.
