This poor island is just right in the path of every tropical storm and hurricane, and this isn't even a bad hurricane. So many other islands nearby, and none of them are battered so constantly. If this were a category 4 or 5, this island would be destroyed. So sad. Wishing the people of Puerto Rico all the love, strength, and healing in the days ahead.

Hurricane Maria was a category 4 when it passed. Reportedly, by Thursday it will be a category 4 and Bermuda is directly in its path. It's a much smaller island, they need every bit of help.

@@stormgirl09 Guys none of this is the problem. The wind/strength means nothing: it’s the rain. The island has been having rain for weeks, so the ground was at full saturation and water levels were already higher than normal. This storm is weak but incredibly slow, so it parked over the island and has dropped 2 feet of rain in less than 24 hrs and it’s expected to drop another foot in the next 12 hours.
Most places on earth wouldn’t do well with 3 feet of rain in less than 2 days.
It’s a HURRICANE! It bring HEAVY RAIN as you clearly saw demonstrated with imperial proof on this video. It doesn’t have to be a CAT 2, 3, 4 or 5 to cause major flooding. We get that here in The Continental 50 States in Thunderstorms & & power goes out. We also get em with Winter Storms in New England.mA Storm is a Storm…there’s nothing small about it & the comparison to a higher rated Storm makes it seems like a lower rated Storm isn’t significantly destructive or deadly & well…the video did NOT lie.

This is so heartbreaking! My home was destroyed in Hurricane Laura and it was so difficult. These people deal with this every year. I am so sorry. God be with you and send you help.

He takes it out like a drop from a water-skin and holds it, never to leave his hand for the blink of an eye until he places it in that shroud and perfume. The scent coming from it is more pleasant than any musk you would find on the face of the earth. He ascends and passes by no gathering of angels but that they say: What a pure spirit! They say he is this person, son of this person, calling him by the best names by which he was known in the world, until he stops at the lowest heaven and seeks entry and it will be opened for him. The company of each heaven bring him closer to the heaven following it until he stops at the seventh heaven. Allah Almighty will say: Write the record of My servant in the righteous register and return him to the earth, for from it I created them, to it I return them, and from it I will take them out once again. His spirit will be returned to his body and two angels will come to sit by him, saying to him: Who is your Lord? He will say: My Lord is Allah. They will say: What is your religion? He will say: My religion is Islam. They will say: Who is this man sent you? He will say: He is the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. They will say: How did you know? He will say: I read the Book of Allah, had faith in it, and believed in it. A heavenly announcement will be made: My servant has spoken the truth! Spread out carpets for him in Paradise, clothe him for Paradise, and open a gate for him to Paradise! Its comforts and fragrances will come to him and his grave will become spacious as far as his eye can see. A handsome man, with fine clothes and wonderful fragrance, will come and say: Glad tidings of what pleases you, for this was your Day you were promised! He will say: Who are you with such a handsome face? He will say: I am your righteous deeds! He will say: O Lord, begin the Hour that I may return to my family and property!”

They will request it to be opened for him but it will not open.” Then, the Prophet recited the verse, “The gates of heaven will never open for them, nor will they enter Paradise, until the camel goes through the eye of the needle,” (7:40). The Prophet said, “Allah Almighty will say: Write his record in the wicked register in the lowest earth. His spirit will be thrown down,” then the Prophet recited the verse, “It is as though he had fallen from the sky and was snatched by the birds or the wind carried him down into a remote place,” (22:31). The Prophet said, “His spirit will return to his body and two angels will come to sit by him, saying to him: Who is your Lord? He will say: Uh, uh, I do not know! They will say: What is your religion? He will say: Uh, uh, I do not know! They will say: Who is this man sent to you? He will say: Uh, uh, I do not know! Its heat and its flames will approach him, and he will be squeezed in his grave until his ribs press together. Puerto Rican here. So far, my entire family made it out ok, but the aftermath rains here are really going strong. On the way to my grandparents, I saw multiple trees that were uprooted, not to mention all the branches on the streets and sidewalks. Even the big tree in my backyard finally fell after being weakened by Maria (luckily, it fell away from my house). Thanks to everyone here sending their prayers to me and everyone else on the island.

I was looking into going there myself before Fiona hit.
My Bahamian friend told me that years ago when the big hurricane struck it destroyed their house, blew the roof off. His mother was missing. Days later the fishermen found her miles off shore clinging in the upturned roof.
Now, when a big storm comes, she becomes very quiet...and climbs up into the rafters.

It’s Monday morning around 6am and we are still getting heavy rain and winds in the bayamon area , this is horrible and it seems that is somehow worse than Maria 5 years ago. Most of the island is underwater.

Got her, my wife's family out of Puerto Rico, 23, including cousins, Aunties, Papi, Momma's, Grandmas, and bro's and sisters. Believe me, this ain't hard, we love each other as tough as the world is, we back each other. Pooled our money together bought 11 acres. Built houses, main one for the momma's and Papi's. Grandma Grandpa. Horses and Trucks. Barn 2 level, in Texas. We all do our work, fun too with animals. We have our regular jobs, some graveyard and it works. Who says family can't live together, 23 people on 11 acre's can, and love it. We built and cemented our roads beautifully, electric by the Public Works, Wifi on all 11 acres. Plumbing, Septic system, best of all a retired city inspector directed all this, helps he is Puerto Rican and can drop by anytime to eat of course, haha. Love your families, Puerto Ricans know Mother Nature very well. Thank you Texas. Thank God we make it work. Sorry, but give more than Toys.
