When you have line breaks or paragraph breaks in a table in Word and copy it into Excel, then by default the cell will be split in Excel. So, how we copy a Word table to Excel without splitting cells? This is what you will learn in this video. I'll actually show you 2 ways to copy a table a keeping the cells merged. The first option takes a bit more time but it can be used offline and you only need Word and Excel for it. The second options is extremely fast but you will need internet access for it.

I had to update a 200 page table in a 15yr old Word document that has had continuous modifications during that time. The only way to do it was to convert it to Excel, BUT, it put everything in seperate cells. This video has quite possibly saved my sanity!
I'm glad to hear that I was able to contribute to you keeping your sanity :D

You are welcome 😊❤️
Hi. Amazing. Thank you. It worked with the Google Sheet. However I did not manage to do it with the first option, because my Excel did not allow me to type the Alt+ characters in the Find-Replace window. Any alternatives to this?
Glad that it worked.
Well, theoretically you can also simply copy the formatting symbol from the Excel cell and paste it into the "Find" field and then click into the "Replace" field and press CTRL + J. This should also do the trick :)
Perfect
Thank you 😊❤
good man
Thank you 😊❤️
how to avoid the calculation of data (cells that contain minus at beginning) when copy table from word to excel?
not a 100% sure, but my best guess is to use the find-and-replace function in Word and replace every " - " with a " '- ". The apostrophe should keep the cells safe in Excel.
Thank you very much my friend your method is working🙏
I can't believe how easy the Google Hack was; thanks!
You're welcome :)
