    Good choice Dave. I've got the same paniers on my Meteor 350 & they are still looking after three years of constant use. Look forward to your touring videos.

    Nice to see Eddie checking your panniers, unfortunately our German Shepherd Kira passed yesterday. She was almost 12 and brought us so much joy. She will be sadly missed.

    Very nice! I have a Hepco and Becker Junior set and a top case. They are big but it fits my commuting needs to store gear. I have a 2023 V7 Special and I love it! Cheers!🎉

    Thanks! I picked up a new 850 V7 Special a couple of weeks ago. Just returned from a fabulous 500 mile ride & was thinking about adding the Givi setup for my next extended trip. Thx again!!!

    Always liked the Guzzys , lovely looking bikes , that one too of course. They have got the lines of the bike smack on.

    Hi Dave that looks really good and it finished the bike off very nicely.
    Just to match your bike paint the Givi logo red . I do love watching you blogs down to earth and great ride outs. 😊

    The previous leather panniers look good but those look better and they got the “Eddie” seal of approval. 👍

    Looks good Dave. I have a similar pair of hard panniers (Hepco&Becker Xcore) on my Classic 350. I prefer the day to day security, waterproof and top loading convenience of this style.

    I have the hard luggage "Urban" from SW Motech that looks great also. I suggested these to you when you first had the problem with fitting. Wish I could send you a photo.
    Your (and mine) particular V7 has a more modern touch making this style (hard cases from Givi or Motech) loook more in sync than more "retro-styled" floppy panniers.
    Your new Givi cases have been around for a long while. I put them on my Kawasaki Vulcan S around 2018.
    The next thing you need is the wind deflector / fly screen from Rizoma in black aluminum ... and Rizoma solid aluminum/glass mirrors!

    Wow Dave, those look smart on the Guzzi. Maybe a fly screen from Plug or similar and heated grips and you could go anywhere!

    Quite good looking 👍 But is there enough free play to modify the angle of the exhaust pipe? Isn’t stressing the junctions in the assembly? Like the collector connection?

    • @thebingleywheeler
      @thebingleywheeler  Месяц назад

      No when you release the hanger it drops about an inch all on its own….almost as if it was stressed the other way

    Good buy and I like them but am wondering the highest part is at the front making it a bit harder to get a leg over - is it possible to switch them around to the other sides so the highest part is at the back which may also have a better profile to the wind
    Either way tho they look good and you apparently like them so that’s what counts

    I have Givi kit - great with one suggestion - get a new key cut - the off-set ones they provide are a nuisance. Look forward to seeing some long-distance films from you.

    Those look awesome on the v7 stone. I love the monekey system. I have the same system on my Transalp only with Givi Canyon 709 soft bags but it locks on exactly the same way. Inquiring minds want to know...How did you fabricate that there bracket to keep the box off the exhaust???

    Now all you need to do is go touring on your V7 , how about a TBW tour series where you take a meander through the dales on in to Northumberland and then the Scottish borders and back ?

  • @AliasMrHackenbacker

    They look good, not too big but large enough to be useful and do seem to match the bike. What was the issue with the semi rigid panniers?

    • @thebingleywheeler
      @thebingleywheeler  Месяц назад

      A bit too out of line with the rest of the bike for me

  • @chrisweeks6973
    @chrisweeks6973 Месяц назад

    They look very nice, Dave and suit the bike very well. However, is it just me, or should they be mounted on the opposite sides? That way the chamfered end would be almost parallel to the shock absorbers and give an even better aesthetic. It would also facilitate easier loading, as one wouldn't have to be loading over the top of the lid.

    Not seeing it marra. The sweet red leather throw-overs not only looked classy they were so practical. Firstly yea hardly ever use panniers on a motorcycle, just touring like, the other 90% of the time they are added weight. The thro-overs were ideal to simply throw over the seat and away to the shops, RESULT. They also could be used for long distance touring with a tail bag holding them securely in place. Just me like but a preferred the red uns, 1 mans meat an all that ! as long as yea happy 👍
