    I've had to give up on Testors Extreme Lacquer, as well as anything by Rustoleum and Krylon. Never got them to work. The only spraypaint I've gotten to work, besides Tamiya, is Duplicolor, and it has some issues. 😮

    • @dragonfreak123
      @dragonfreak123  26 дней назад

      I'm about ready to give up on them. I've never used Duplicolor. I don't have anything against Rustoleum or Krylon, they just seem a little to heavy to me. Tamiya has always been fantastic for me. Thanks for watching!

    Cool update. I get sorted of impatient toward the end of the build, just want to be finished and start the next one. Merry Christmas Chris.

    Good job Chris! Way to push through. It looks good, and if you had fun thats what matters. Don't beat yourself up.
    Use rubbing alcohol to strip the lacquer off. Those paints are very sensitive to humidity I've found too.

    • @dragonfreak123
      @dragonfreak123  25 дней назад

      I wound up having to use brake fluid to strip it. Purple pond wouldn't even touch it. I did have fun aside from the paint issues, I will build it again! Thanks Joe! Really appreciate it!

      Thank you Marcelo! I thought that was a cool color. And I wanted a flat color for it after the Extreme Laquers Purpleicious didn't work.

    Well Chris. That surely does look super cool. Awesome job pushing through the issues, my friend. It really paid off. Not a huge fan of the extreme lacquer line myself but I’m sorry that happened to you. I really like the color you ended up using. I love a nice Flathead too. That looks great. Nicely done Chris. That Mr hobby primer just dries super quick even when you spray it. It’s one reason I love it. Gets me to spraying the next coat quick. lol. I have the same impatience problem. That’s why I have to do multiple builds. That’s the only way I can make myself set stuff aside and not screw it up.

    I can't stand that paint it wrinkles up every time I use it and the clear I had a whole bunch of it and threw it all away

    • @dragonfreak123
      @dragonfreak123  26 дней назад

      I hear ya. I won't be buying anymore of it. My problem is I already bought a can of each color they have. But you can bet I'll be testing each can before I use it. Thanks for watching!
