These crickets in the background made an awesome feeling... Everyone are sleeping. You are alone. No one is bothering. Doing something you love. Perfect time! :)
That's right, it adds a bit of clarity to the details on the model. It's similar to adding contrast to a photo. Unfortunately, many people avoid doing it because it can make a mistake if they are not skilled. BTW. Thanks for your visiting!
Just decided to return to modeling again after a 50-year hiatus and your video inspired me to get the same kit. I have great memories of this car from my childhood and I look forward to indulging in the details. I love the touch you get with the scribing tool and many other details. Thank you for sharing ♥
Thank You for sharing, and showing how to manage the details. I got a couple of tips here, for instance dipping in the transparent paint, instead of brush painting. I have two tips though, I use Tamiya Polishing Compound "Finish" for removing excess panel wash. And on this specific model, the front screen frame as well as headligt surroundings and the raised lines around the rear lights and rear corners are silver, to indicate a galvanized area from the factory, these areas cannot be painted body colour, due to the galvanizing. Thanks for an informative video. Excellent model.
Beautiful build! I just finished this same kit a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was amazed at how good the quality was for the price. 👍
Excellent build sir, I did have this in my stash at one plint, but madeva very bad basic error with it, so I must get another kit soon, yoh have yourself another subscrber, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia 👍👍👍👍
You are a fantastic modeler! The eye for detail you have is great! BUT- I don’t like that your videos don’t have an audio commentary. I want to know your thought process, I want to hear you explain what you’re doing. Just watching a video like this with a music soundtrack and no artist commentary doesn’t hold my attention. I’d really LOVE to hear your thoughts and comments as you build these incredible models!
Fabulous build, love that colour. What method did ypu use for fixing the glazing in. Does this kit come with optional r/h drive. Really enjoyed watching your video
Actualy it depend on paint you used, different brand has a differrent ratio. Normaly I thined it in 1:1 ratio but now when I try “Ready to use paint” I don’t have to concern about it anymore.
Great work on the kit just got one but the instructions for the right or left hand drive gear levers and hand brake are on the wrong side to the steering wheel you have the hand brake ok for a right hand drive but the two levers to engage the four wheel drive and the high or low ratio are on the passenger side
I got this set today but I'm an absolute beginner. Do you think it will be doable for someone with 0 experience and is it fine to just paint with a regular paint brush? I don't have all these fancy tools :p
I’m the one who started with 0% exp. too, so don’t worry too much and start you first kit. Your first build It may not be satisfactory to you if you compare it to the work of experienced people. But if you really love and happy doing scale models and don't give up, your results will eventually get better and better. I wish you happy building scale models.
You will be fine, there are so many tricks you learn just by doing, and nothing is stopping you from comming back to the model when your skill and kit improves. So many pro's come back to older kits when the learn a new texture effect etc.
Thank you so much! In this build I used custom paint I mixed it my self from green, blue and white by matching colors from pictures I found on the internet.
I’ve been watching a lot of highly detailed modeling videos lately, and I’m looking to get back into the hobby. I have to ask, are you gluing painted parts together? Or is there prep work going on that we don’t see in the video?
Lovely build! Everytime I touch the parts with my bare hands after I cleaned and sanded the part, paint will chip off easily. And I use mostly mr Hobby lacquer paints or Tamiya thinned with mrHobby Leveling Thinner. Even when I use gloves ALL the time and never touch it barehanded untill its clear coated.. any tips for that?
@@OMGscaleworks I am no stranger to Revell kits. I know how they work, but I don't think I see you covering that bit in your video. Did you brush-paint the headliner/inside before assembly or did you airbrush it as well?
This paint I got from www.mangapromix.com, their paint has more accurate than mix it yourself. Thanks for your comment and sorry about very late reply.
Beautiful. This gives me something to aspire to having taken up modeling again after many years.
Glad to hear that! Thanks for your visiting.
Beautiful... at last no terrible music ...just sound ... opening the box ... sprue... clic and clac.. crickets ... very good!!!!
Glad you like it! Thanks for your visiting.
Sweet build. I have to ask, are You building outside ?? Lots of nature, and other sounds. Or just wide ope windows ?
@@joesrustshop4509 It's a real bird sound. from my backyard and it relaxes me.

You described it as if you were sitting in the room with me. 😁
I never thought about how much better it looked when you prepared the body like you did with the scribing tool. It really made a difference.

Your comment mean a lot to me. This makes me feel very happy to be able to inspire others. Thanks to you too Jon!
That's a really nice build but even factory-fresh cars don't have tyres that shiny and clean!
Another amazing build! And thank you for showing how you apply glue. That's the part I have the most trouble with myself.
Glad to help and thanks for your watching!
Spectacular!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
Magnifique reportage!!! un peu trop belle peut être pour paraitre réelle

Good kit, I can tell.
@@OMGscaleworks Plenty of scope for being personalised with a few scratch built add-ons 😊.....I'm thinking Dakka paint scheme

Very nice build! It has that in-scale feel to it.
Perfect colour choice and excellent detail painting.
Thanks for the video!
Thank you very much!
fantastic work
Thank you so much 😀
Vers nice model, Amazing !
Thank you very much Patrick!
I love this kit... One of my Favorites from Revell Germany. Still, not finished with mine because I'm doing a old hard working Landy.
Yeah so you have to put a lot of weathering apply on it.
Oh yeah! @@OMGscaleworks
Awesome build, I would definitely add pop up tent to give outdoor feel, maybe paint LR in ex Australia army camouflage? Definitely kit worth building👍
I have one of these. Going to have to build it soon, this is a beautiful kit. Really nice build. Looks like an actual vehicle in stills.
Thank you so much! Yours will be better than mine for sure.

Exellent car !!!✌️😝🚀🚀🥁🥁
สวยงามทุกคันจริงๆครับ มี 2k lacquer

Hi Oni,
Very nice build! I'm a new subscriber from Washington State.
Hi there! Thanks for your subbed.
I have to agree with everyone else. Awesome work! What paint are you airbrushing and how do you thin it?
Thanks for your comment! Most paint I used in video is lacquer based paint. It’s ready to use scale model paint from SNP Color
www.mangapromix.com/

Thank tou so much Alan and apologize for very late reply. This kit has only part for Left drive. Glad you enjoy my video!

Just so awesome. How long does the average build take?

Yes I glued every parts but have to use the glue that safe for paint like Tamiya Craft Bond.

Nice job. What paint did you use for the body and what was the mix?
Thanks! Paint from S.N.P Color, my local model paint, you can find them here facebook.com/mangagarage
Tipically Perkins engine sounds....
Lovely work as usual, what sander tool is that?
Thanks a lot mate! This sander I got it from Chinese shopping website. It’s very useful.
Beautiful job, but why no repeater indicators ?
Thanks a lot mate! There’s not the parts you mentioned in the kit.

What kind of primer do you use? It might be the cause.
@@OMGscaleworks mr surfacer. As far as I know this is as good as it gets when it comes to modeling.
What tool/method is being used to hold the glass parts for placement?
It’s just a toothpick with double side tape on the tip.
You can also use pister putty on the tip.
😮👏🏼✅🏆
Thanks! 😉
I am not sure if this was covered in your video, but how did you go about painting the inside of the body?
This model kit is a plastic model. It is in originally unassembled. So you can paint the inside of the body before assembling it.

Thanks for the sub!😍
Your scribing blade is 0.2mm or 0.3mm?
I used only 0.1 and 0.2 I think 0.3 is too large for scale 1/24 but be ok for 1/12
Could you explain why you use the permanent marker please.
The sharpie act as an indicator to told me that the mold line is gone yet and prevent me to over do sanding.
@@OMGscaleworks thank you 🙏

Headlights always let kits down, they never look realistic.
I think so!
why you paint in
beginning ?
I'm alway do a paint job first so I can do another part while I leave the paint to fully curing.
Clear takes a long time to harden.
@@OMGscaleworks i mean the marker you do first ?
That marker is check mark for moldline removing. When it gone that mean it smooth now.
@@OMGscaleworks 👍🏻
Your scribing technique needs work. You can see the lack of smoothness.
The exhaust pipe on mine was a wretched fit to the manifold.
