Similar story here. I just gave birth to my baby boy on 5/4 and ended up with an unplanned c section. I was so terrified and have been dealing with disappointment in myself/my body as well as the whole experience in general. Logically I know there’s nothing to be ashamed of and that I did what was best for the safety of my baby and myself, but it’s been hard to get myself to believe that. Thanks for sharing your story! It’s helpful to know that so many other people have been through similar experiences. Love to you and August!
Wow this is literally my birth story. I’m currently 12 days postpartum (gave birth 4/23) and did not progress past 5cm due to swollen cervix after 20+ hrs of contractions. I also had severe pressure/pain on my left side that the epidural did not touch and baby was sunny side up in that area. I ended up getting a c section as well and baby was big so they told me the same thing that vaginal birth probably wouldn’t have been possible. I’m glad with my decision but it was definitely tough. I never realized how common is is until after it happened to me
So true - Contractions for me were genuinely like I was going to s**t my pants 😂 So glad it was a positive birthing experience for you - Ps I still wanna cry when I look at my LO and she’s 2.5, mom life
So was the discharge actually discharge or was your water leaking? I’m 37 weeks and experiencing the same thing - LOTS of clear/watery discharge, back ache, cramps, etc.

My midwife said it was just discharge!
How was your experience with your doula? Do you recommend having one?
Definitely recommend having one! It’s wonderful having that extra support in labour!
