  • By becoming a volunteer ombudsman in Florida, you can change the life of people who live in nursing homes, assisted living facilities or adult family care homes. Many of these people have no one to speak up for them or look out for his or her best interest, making this population the most vulnerable in our society. Change a resident's life. Become a volunteer today.

My ombudsman said she dont trust me after i showed her video that i didn't get a tray but the video shows i went to ask for the tray and you hear them saying they did not find my menu. And didn't offer no food or replacement i specifically said wheres my tray, and i asked would they tell the nurse i didn't get anything an thy just stopd there talking and even when i went to my room, they didn't mak a move so i said ill go ask yhe nurse myself if she will get me some food and i fell. Instead of addressing the fall , why i fell, why didn't the aizd make sure i had a replacement dinner my ombudsman admitted seeing the video and said she couldn't trust me cause two ppl said they gave me a tray and the video shows they did not .i am lead to believe the ombudsman and the nursing home are working together.
