Driving a small car with rev happy 3 cylinders and a manual gearbox is quite fun. The exhaust is dang near perfect, has some tone and not obnoxious like straight pipe systems. The wheels color is fitting....I like them 👍
One of the best cars ever !! If I owned one I would change the dashboard to alcantara. A garage did it Martigny, ch, and it adds a race car feeling to the car. It also stops sun reflections. GT3 + Yaris = dream garage
Your videos alway have stellar quality sound tracks and mic audio an important part of videos which I feel is overlooked by many others. Appreciate your effort in being particular about this as it makes your videos even better than they already are.

Totally agree, personally i wouldn’t add any aero bits to it like splitters and side scirts, just add some nice rallye style wheels and for me the car is perfect. Plus, the OEM suspension is one of the best factory suspension setup i’ve driven for a very long time, what it could use are some thicker roll bars, but i like how it is stock and that it leans into the corners. I wouldn’t dare messing with Tommy Makkinens setup haha
@@binskee677 As I said in the video the stock wheels are too good to change just to make it more rally style. OEM suspension is good but really is too high, anyway I'm excited to see how it feels after changing it, I have something special coming that maybe even TM would approve of :-)

Thanks! Actually for me would be the worst mod to do, uncomfortable seats and lose the daily comfort with seat heating. Plus the stock seats are super nice visually.

You could change the tires for the Wedssport TC105x, it's a made in Japan wheel which is a kilo lighter and less expensive than the OEM BBS Wheels, only thing it's not fully forged and is a hybrid between flow formed and forged. Also the Yaris could use a shorter shifter, transformes the experience while sporty driving by a lot imo (there is also a cheap way to shorten the shifter by AIRTEC). Also the harder mounts for the engine improved the pick up a lot and for it didn't compromize daily drivability much (just a bit more vibrations)
Agree about Weds, can get almost a set for price of 1 OEM wheel. And almost 1kg lighter, they do say forged. Japan Racing SL01 is also a bit lighter and even cheaper - flow formed. No need to change mounts, inserts will do just fine and way cheaper.

I think you’ll find if you remove the subframe it will make the job a lot quicker and simpler. I removed my subframe on the ground, installed a new sway bar and reinstalled all in about an hour. On a lift would have cut the time further. Food for thought!
I disagree in principle with fitting a louder exhaust on any car. I just prefer to hear the whole car, not just the exhaust, when I drive. There’s something beautiful about hearing the engine rev, it’s like listening to the car’s heart. However, I have to say your new exhaust does sound good, and doesn’t seem to be overwhelmingly loud. Looking forward to seeing more videos. :)

I get the exhaust, intake, seat mods ... but ... lower front & side spoilers and then springs/suspension ... on a RALLYE car ... "a bit silly" to quote a certain author. The street is your GT3 - dirt/gravel for the Yaris GR 😁
True! But I think not many people actually rally their Yaris in dirt and gravel :) I see it more as a fast road car that’s daily useable but with the adjustable suspension that’s going on I would make it higher again in the winter ready for the snow.

@@carswithluke I have the exact same exhaust with and without the resonated middle pipe and with mid silencer even in our garage the car is never that loud and the car was on several racetracks so you would assume it gets louder.
You don’t need one but you could do one to easily get more power with those upgrades however I never liked touching the ecu and I really enjoy the power it’s at.

cool video. that seat lowering device is not street legal for a good reason.........that thing is dangerous if u have a accident........it might brake. btw these wheels are forged, yes. but not really lightweight. JP racing with its sl01 and sl02 just weights 280gramms more and these are 8.5 inchers for about 350 CHF each. Take wed sports rims with the same dimensions and they are lighter for about 700 CHF each.

Should have just removed the "plating" from OEM downpipe while it was still up there, easily removable once without plates. No need to drop shaft or anything.
The front splitter looks good not the TRD one? I need to get my CP wheels refurbished not sure what colour to go for since my GR Yaris is Black. I do currently have the Bola FLE alloys on my Car at the moment.
I would like to yes but who knows. Compared to that car it’s a different world and 100 times better. The A1 looks cool but no real excitement with driving like this and just understeered where this doesn’t.
The only downside to putting a lighter colour on the wheels is that I think It makes them look a lot smaller and then a bit lost in the arches. Nice car.

I genuinely don't want to offend anyone or start any shit, but let's be honest 99.9% of American cars are not suitable for any form of motorsport. The GRY was developed with endless money from the ground up to be WRC car, which is the greatest form of motorsport with the best drivers. It probably sounds really strange to Americans, but nobody in their right mind would ever build a race car let alone a rally car out of something that came out of USA. There are some cars from Usa that can can hang on the circuit but not much. More common sight on the track is 12 year old's lapping redeyes left and right on the track with their 160hp Toyota Starlets.
A lot of the fascination comes from a love of motorsport (WRC in the case of the GR Yaris). I’ve worked for US companies for over 30 years and it amazes me the fascination my friends Stateside have for 0-60 times and drag racing between traffic lights whereas in Europe driving across twisty country roads has more appeal. The important thing is people enjoy what they drive no matter what that car is.
The reasons most people replace the alloy wheels is because they want wider tyres and the standard wheels are £1600 each to replace should you damage one.
Never heard of anyone of buying after market wheels because stock wheels are expensive 😂 essentially that means buying some nice, hiding it away and then buying a cheaper and worse version to use which still costs a lot. I tried a friends Yaris with wider wheels on and didn’t find it as fun anymore but that’s personal choice of course and depends what you do with it.
@@carswithluke you must have missed the hundreds of posts on ALL of the GR forums and Pistonheads then. People were mainly buying them becuase an entire set of aftermarket wheels is cheaper than damaging a standard wheel on a pothole.
Nice Car but not buyable instantly and too small for me. It´s not a daily driver, only a Fun Car but an amazing One and affordable. Respect for Toyota and Gazoo Racing.
I feel unless you got most of those parts for free since you’re a RUclipsr , is not worth it on the car like that . I live in the United States in Miami and much rather drive my C8 with full of carbon fiber and after market exhaust then a small car that does not get any attention. Your GT3 is awesome that car I do love as well as your videos so keep it up !
I can assure you that everyone here in Europe would rather drive this than a C8 😅 and the Yaris is very much more fun than a C8 for me personally but we all have different tastes (luckily) Also for most of us we don’t care about getting attention, we drive cars for the love of it not to be seen. And anyhow the Yaris turns heads here like a supercar because it’s so amazing and loved and adding these parts are 100% worth it, you just have to go experience Europe once maybe because it’s vert different worlds from Miami to here. I’d say you need an ECU upgrate software now with the new downpipe,excaust,e venturi and everything…
You don’t need one but you could do one to easily get more power with those upgrades however I never liked touching the ecu and I really enjoy the power it’s at.
Adding 50bhp with a remap would bring the car properly alive.

Depends if you need to drive in the snow or not, I love both so for sure a hard one. If I changed to a QV it would have to be the right spec to do it.

I feel unless you got most of those parts for free since you’re a RUclipsr , is not worth it on the car like that . I live in the United States in Miami and much rather drive my C8 with full of carbon fiber and after market exhaust then a small car that does not get any attention. Your GT3 is awesome that car I do love as well as your videos so keep it up !
I can assure you that everyone here in Europe would rather drive this than a C8 😅 and the Yaris is very much more fun than a C8 for me personally but we all have different tastes (luckily) Also for most of us we don’t care about getting attention, we drive cars for the love of it not to be seen. And anyhow the Yaris turns heads here like a supercar because it’s so amazing and loved and adding these parts are 100% worth it, you just have to go experience Europe once maybe because it’s vert different worlds from Miami to here. Nearly ever car brand do it these days because the cars are made so quiet from factory, luckily it can nearly always be turned off, only software.
Did you get the miltek res or non res also do you know if the downpipe is legal in the uk?
Res and if it's legal here then it must be there I would say.
