not trying to shit on your parade with this comment, but there's no chance it's bouncing back at this point, too little, too late, SF6 is out, MK and tekken on the horizon. I feel DNF came out at the perfect time, but missed the boat on trying to redeem it's self with a big update.
Time to return to dnf duel. Never wanted to leave in the first place but I could never get a match after a while. Hopefully here to stay this time

It's so irritating for every player to want to play a game and then be told you gotta wait a year at best or pay half a k for it. And on top of that Xbox, switch and playstation still hold your wifi under ransomware even though they make enough as it is and despite the fact you already pay an ISP for that fucking internet. Seriously how are any of these two things still in gaming

I'm not exactly hopeful that it will recover from being abandoned for so long, but I also wouldn't say no to some more DNF.
I hope the troubleshooter mod gets updated for this patch and future ones. I was sad to have to turn it off yesterday.
This is the BEST CHARACTER SELECT THEME I've heard in any fighting game besides Killer Instinct. Just gives me a good feeling inside. Can't really explain it lol

@@redhood2594 It's just silly you guys need a new character every month to wanna play a game, when 1: most of you will play 1-2 characters tops 99% of the time, and 2: If you really liked the game you'd play it for years.

This Character for me is nuts. huge range, great combo's fantastic pickups and most importantly is super fun to play. i think im going to be spending more time on DNF to keep learning her.
It's such a shame this game fell off so hard. It just *looks* so damn good. I'm at least glad the developers are sticking with it and are seemingly willing to make pretty drastic changes to gameplay.
I still wonder why they had to take a whole year for it but what is done is done and I am okay it had some changes and actual content to wait for. I would really love DnF to have the GBVF treatment in terms of DLC and sequel but I won't get my hopes too high.
@@Grim_BudIt's probably a smaller group within ArcSys. Progress is being made, less money probably being spent but the drawback is a longer wait period
DNF duel has a ton of potential. I feel like if it was handled well it could be completely revamped.

Learning how crazy Dragon Knight and Astra is. I play puppet and rushdowns.
Dragon Knight was my GIRL. She was Hella fun to use and has some sick combos with her dragon

All i can think while seein Spectres gameplay is she reminds me of a mix of Ruby & Blake from BBTAG, cant wait to see more of her

Made it from gold I to fresh Deity the day Specter came out now that more people were in ranked.
Although I felt bad for the occasionnal new commers I've faced.
My grind in lobbies starting against Deities and legends paid off, I'm really happy because DnF is the first game where I've actually did ranked matches instead of 100hrs in labbing/mission.
PSA this shit is 60% off rn. Hard to get deals like that these days

Honestly they need to make it 3v3 tag!!!! Would make it so much more hype and add clutch opportunities to the battles. Give each character varieties of assists like marvel
I'm having a blast with Spectre and I really hope DNF Duel makes a comeback. The game didn't deserve the radio silence it got from devs for so long. It's understandable the player base would leave, especially with other fighting games releasing but I still find DNF really fun and it has so much potential. I really hope the next few characters spark more interest for old players and hopefully some new ones as well. Personally, I really want them to add Impaler or Blood Mage. I'd be happy with Soul Bender, Asura, Shadow Dancer, or Nen Master as well. Hopefully we get at least one of those.
The gold cubes are so fun especially now that I can just throw out safe dps with enchantress that do big damage

I just got it on sale on ps5 and it's a really awesome anime fighter. Easy to get into, fast, fun, easy movelist and linking your combos is easy as well. In my opinion, highly charismatic character roster. I recommend the game to anyone beginners or veterans for a fun time!

**Me seeing Spectre grapple** - Damn, they added Hazama in DNF, cool!
The devs really made her special because she is using her Neo:Awakening as her super.
My favorite videos of Max's are ones where he just noodles around with something new in training mode. I can't come up with combos as easily as him, but it spreads the message that the lab is not only a necessary part of the fighting game experience, it's a fun part of it.
It would have been better if the game had launched in April and the first DLC was out now.
I'd love to see a revival of this game, but there just aren't enough characters and enough players to stick with it for long.
Once the game's first season pass is released and the next season pass is confirmed, I think we'll see revival of DnF Duel. It seems unlikely that Nexon will make that decision, but...

Both. Better in general as characters are now all good with the changes made, especially with the core mechanics changes. Stuff is still op af though so some people Def not gonna like it.

I loved the original game, and the fighting game is starting to look really good. I may finally pick it up, but I am still playing a lot of dbfz, sf6, and Diablo 4😅

I brought DNF day one when it first came out but I haven’t played it in forever. I used to be pretty good with Kunoichi. I hate to say it but after all this time they needed to do more than bring one new character if they want to reignite people’s interest in the game. It’s a decently fun game but with SF6 out (and Tekken 8 around the corner) it’s going to have a hard time getting people interested again.

Man, does anyone else thinks that DNF Duel sounds like a name for a cryptocurrency?? Like seriously. Just that one part where it says "DNF". Thus, when I hear DNF Duel, in my mind automatically I started to think that this is some kind of cryptocurrency, and only later I realize that we are talking about a video game lol.
If only this game was good, but it’s published by Nexon. As it stands, there’s just no reason to play this unless you’re a fan of all the other dungeon fighter games. This is directly competing with guilty gear, or hell, maybe even dbfz (though it is a tag fighter), melty blood, maybe even blazblue or granblue versus. Not to mention sf6 and maybe tekken.
It also gets like no support. One character after release. Probably be worth picking up on sale though and messing around with it. Looks damn pretty that’s for sure.
It's unfortunate that the devs took this long. This game was fun and I hope that it reaurges, but it's highly unlikely at this stage. Most people are playing SF6 and MK1 comes out in 2 months. I think most fgc people will be stretched thin between those two games.
