As someone who just watched the entire episode followed by this, this guy basically just spit out a lot of lies in such little time

If you haven't watched the episode then go watch it before believing this. The main problem was that him and Lori offered a deal really fast without barely asking any questions. The other sharks didn't agree that this was wise so they held themselves from offering a deal before first understanding how the app worked.
They wanted to be a part of it but were "scooped" because the pitcher chose to go with him and Lori. The other sharks were left out clueless and that didn't sit well with them so they spoke against him. Because of this, tension was created and they ended up arguing a bit. That's it.
It has nothing to do with "cause his black" or "the other sharks thought it was garbage". Nowhere in the episode do any of them believe it was garbage.

They didnt even think it was bad, they wanted to discuss the business. People dont realize pitches are usually like an hour long filled with questions that are heavily edited down. This one was minutes. They were actually quite interested. In reality had the pitch been allowed to continue, questions asked, the bidding may have ended up at much more than $40k for 15%.
you should watch the episode, the response from the other sharks responses at the end made no sense

@@davesinaga46 during the beginning of the pitch robert literally said “thats brilliant.” I do not see how “thats brilliant” equates to “thats garbage.” All 5 sharks were interested but daymond and lori pressured him to say yes to their deal before the question phase had even properly begun

He flipped it well. The other sharks were offended they forced 40k down the kids throat before hearing his whole pitch. The pitch was moving towards the company being valued at a lot more and the other sharks were offended when Lori forced the shy kid to take 40k knowing it should of been 100k+
Actually that is not what happens. Lori and Raymond make a quick deal with a quicker time limit on the guy when he has only been talking for less than 10 mins. The other sharks didn't have time to ask questions or get to known more of the product. So race has nothing to do with it. It is just that they were not able to get some more info from him and said that.

Hope you follow your own advice. The reality is, you can grow a business with the right investor. Or struggle with out the financial/technical help from an investor. Most businesses struggle without the finance part eventually. The odds of being a shark is 1 to millions. Money makes the world go round... My business does ok for 2 years in, but i know I'd like to get an investor involved eventually to grow it beyond what my current finances can do. Main thing in todays time is Marketing an providing a service better than your competitors.

Remember that book of grants and scholarships that was an infomercial at night with the guy wearing a green suit covered with dollar signs. The app was a great idea, I can't believe they couldn't see that, in all honesty it's the type of thing apps are best out to use. I know some cadets in ROTC that were making six figures going to school through scholarships, grants and government programs all the while paid in full through ROTC.

I absolutely remember this episode, but the way Damon is telling it is totally misleading, Mark, Robert, and Kevin were totally interested in investing into this app, however before the entrepreneur had a chance to finish giving all the details of the business, Damon and Lori had heard enough and immediately jumped on it and gave the guy exactly what he was asking for with two Sharks attached to the deal. Mark, Robert, and Kevin started complaining that they didn't hear everything about the business and where it was heading, they wanted to hear more about it but the guy took Damon and Lori's offer. Mark and (especially) Robert started crying like a couple of lil bitches afterwards and ended up walking off stage which was just silly beyond stupid, it's called the Shark Tank for a reason, and every single one of them have done something similar multiple times or the same when trying to win a bidding war, especially Mark when he threatens to go out if the entrepreneur doesn't take his offer right away. 🤔
