  • “I think what makes Lake City so unique is when you come to Lake City what you expect is not what you get, you get more”, says Lake City Artfields Consultant, Carla Angus. Over recent years this once desolate town has transformed itself into a thriving economic and cultural scene.
Located just twenty-four miles south of Florence, this remote town is home to some of the most special events in South Carolina, earning it 2018’s ‘Best Small-Town Cultural Scene’ by USA Today.
Local business owner of Mosaic Clothing Leah Norwood says, “I would describe it [Lake City] as a place that has a lot of charm. To me, the reason why it has a lot of charm is because of the people here and there’s just something special about that”.
With this type of reputation it’s hard to not want to see it yourself.

Hello, I am a 52 yo disabled woman and I am looking into moving to your area. I would love to talk with you as my disability is forcing me to purchase my home online before I move from NY.
