I've owned my Malus 3 years now? I still love it. Upgrade the bars, brakes, freewheel (or just change to a 1x10) and I upgraded my seat. The derailer is very cheap and it does feel like it but it has held up for me. I have given this bike hell - it has held up well. It gets more looks than a Ferrari. Worth the $. Jumping off roots while others taken them slow has its merits. The bike is fast. Really there aren't many down sides outside of weight and some cheap components. At the price I would have expected to break the frame by now (200lbs) jumping gaps etc.but it's solid. All around I'm very happy.
WOLFTICK VIDEOS I enjoy watching your dad on the bike next time I want to see him with some proper equipment to make sure that he’s safe your best video so far
HA HA If only the best rides werent FAILS!! LOL I have had my share too man, I was booking it down a trail all nasty and completely came over a blind turn and BAM!! I flew over the bars and wheel got caught up in some rocks! Bent the holy hell out of it and messed up my climb out!!LOL "SCHWINN TAFF REALTIME REVIEW OPENER" GO WATCH!!
Thanks man! We feel the same way, it was hard to pick it apart it is just so freaking cool and functional, upgrades next week are gonna rock man!!! Thanks
Hey there! Just stumbled upon your video titled "Fat Tire" and I must say, I'm impressed with the content you've put together. As an avid ebike user, I'm always on the lookout for innovative and game-changing products. Speaking of which, I recently found a new crowdfunding project called Freebeat Morph 2-in-1 e-Bike. It's truly remarkable how this bike can be charged indoors, thanks to its unique indoor recharge feature. The brushless 750W motor with its impressive 80Nm torque and the 80mm front suspension for a smooth ride really caught my attention. Can't wait to learn more and show my support for this outstanding e-bike!
Looking forward to your upgrades. Glad to see a fatty on your channel. I have a Felt fat bike and love it, did 185 miles on it a few weeks back (C&O canal trail) and use it for all my riding now, including singletrack. It's not the most efficient but it's way more fun in my opinion
Hey thanks man. We are excited about this bike for sure. We will do a stage #1 on it sometime this next week, and then we should have it up shortly after. Thanks for the comment and enthusiasm 🚴♂️😁.
Such a Bad Ass Bike....I’ve been jealous of Jack’s ever since he got his....as much as I love my super oversized beach bike I really think I may need one of these....I’m gonna keep looking around and maybe for next year I’ll decide what I’m going to do....
Man DAN!!! I just made the decision for you!!LOL Its all good man, do your homework and then treat yourself. Thanks Fellas:) Gonna be a mean machine ha ha rock on!!!!
I might need to find me one of those. My buddy has a mongoose Dolomite which is basically the same. We did the stem and bars and got rid of the grip shifter and so far he loves it
Hey buddy this is the old fat guy. I had a blast on that thing, and you seen Jeremiah enjoying it. There is just something about these bikes that takes you back to being young again. Just the little bit of time that we have had the bike has made the $329 worth it. Thanks for being regular on the channel bud, we appreciate it.
Very good looking bike, thanks for the comment man. Im hoping to set her up real nice like ha ha. Will be sure to let taller riders know though, we get a lot of questions!!:)
I think I have the same brakes on my Redline fat bike from Walmart. Basically just a rebranded diamondback that Walmart sold for a brief time before they all sold out. I had an issue with one of the brake handles stripping out with a cord goes in. So I just replace them with $20 Avids I found on Amazon. Made a huge difference in the braking power by just having stiffer levers. I was surprised I never thought changing the brake levers would make a big difference but did.
Hmmmmm...Thats a good idea, I think after playing with the tension im pretty confident its all in the pad/rotor. Maybe when I upgrade I will use hydraulic brakes? 4 piston is the plan, but IDK. I do plan on being mean to her ha ha. Thanks for the suggestion brother, hope you stick around to see were we take her!
Hell yeah man, thank you so much for subbing and hope you enjoy your bike, as a matter of fact I know you will! Such a cool bike and be prepared to turn some heads man:) See you tomorrow for the giveway announcement! Thanks again Sapper, much love:)
don't know how I ever missed this video! How awesome! bought two of those Framed bike specials for a couple of eBikes I am building. Bafang mid mount on this bike would work well BBSHD 52v 20ah battery would be good for off road /hunting/ fishing/ camping...
Hi there, any recommendation for a fat tire to replace the stock to handle snow, light ice, etc? Building this up to have one function, get me through winter riding :)
Also, 2nd part, what brake upgrade would you recommend? I had mechanical on my last winter bike and they were terrible, so I want to put hydraulics on like my mountain bike. Thanks!
Hey brother, now as far as tires go we have not tried but heard very good things about the wolftrax brand, usually budget and look great, Maybe try them?
For sure man, here is an affiliate link to some hydraulic brakes. They are ready to install and enjoy as well:) We used them on the Malus and it was one of the best upgrades yet. Here it is man, good luck and let us know if you need anything else.amzn.to/3nzepWj
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Thank you so much! Finally got my Malus put together as it's starting to get wintery up here in PA. Quick last question for now. My foot hits the tire when I turn, is that normal? I assume because the fat tires are fat tires and I need to get used to it. I'm 5'9" so want to make sure its not rider height =. Please let me know your thoughts when you can. Thank you!
Love that Ya'll reviewed this bike! KSREC makes a fat bike fork with 120mm of travel on amazon for $142.99, not sure if this would fit in with the direction that ya'll are going with this, but it might be interesting.
Awesome video. Do you know if a bike trailer hitch can be attached to the rear axle through bolt? Looking to turn a malus into a hunting bike and would need to be able to put about 150 pounds in a trailer. Thanks for all the videos and content.
Dude that is a great idea/question! I would have no clue! But the rear axle has about a little over a 1/4 of an inch of space to play with if you were to tighten a trailer to it.....But if you send me an idea of your trailer i can check it out for you:) Thanks for the question and wish we could help more, let us know man!
I think you should look into 4 piston brakes an air fork and a 1x11 for this bike this thing can be a beast my fat tire with my air for lets me go over anything i want and its a blast to send it down hill
Love that you guys do these budget friendly reviews. I've been eyeing one of these but was reluctant to get a big box store bike. This actually looks like a solid choice, brakes withholding. How's the standover height/ geometry feel on it? I'm hoping to get something that I can ride when it's muddy and less than ideal out, but then will also fit my fiancee when she can get out for a ride. I cant find the specs on this thing anywhere.
Man it feels simple in a good way, the geometry is easy to kick back and cruise or stand and get a little dirty lol. Perfect for riders I would say 5'5 to 5'10. It's not a bad ride at all, like you said the brakes could use some more love but other than that its solid!!
2 piston were strong but unable to pull off a stoppie if that means anything. Cheaper than the 4 piston but the 4 pistons are way stronger but, they are pretty much on or off. I would recommend the 2 piston for the GT or the four if you are riding a bunch of downhill and constantly using them. Tou get used to it.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I'm running SLX M7100 on my GT, I love them. As I get better riding, I'm thinking of upgrading to the 4-pistons. Sounds like there's a big difference between the two.
Very big difference man, and I def think the 4 pistons are overkill so if thats what you want and extra braking power then there you go!!!LOL let us know
Pretty cool, as for the weight, I'm sure you can shed some lbs with upgrades and get used to the heavier wheels. Probably will make you faster on other bikes from the weight training haha I gotta get one next season
Weight training, I love it!! Better excuse to ride ha ha, we will see the weight afterwards but...might add some weight with them forks lol wait till you see em! Thanks man
Welcome to the Fat Bike world. You definitely need to invest in a low pressure guage. I'm 200lbs and on 26x4 fat tires, I settled with 14psi at the rear and 10-12psi at the front for trails. Since you are lighter, you can probably get away with 10-12 psi at the rear and 8-10psi up front. If you are jumping though, go 2 psi higher so you don't damage your rims. At my weight, I slightly bent the lip of my rear rim at 12psi doing jumps when I landed wrong. Which is I why I finally settled at 14psi rear.
Hey man I copped this bike thanks to your videos ,I got the maroon and silver one , I got a question at psi should I put the tires if I want to rider terrain like this?
Hell yeah man, glad we did a good enough job for you to buy one. Hope you are very pleased with it and i run 18-25psi. 18 front and 25 rear. I am 145 or so as well👍👍👍
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS kid is 8 and his first impression of a fat bike was a jaw drop and he had to tell me, "dad, I saw a tire that I can't get off my mind"
You two look like you have a great laugh together, never fails to make me laugh That bike looks like hard work, but good fun. Never ridden a fat bike, might have to try one Keep the great videos coming 👍
Thanks a bunch Dan, thats cool to hear brother. Please get a fat tire bike man, they are so much fun and challenging oh and heavy as SH*T!!!LOL Will do man got the upgrades coming out next week and the Taff video coming out Friday, you will like the opener im sure!!!
Youre right about the brakes, i have the standard hydro shimanos on it. It made a huge difference but it could use more. Also get a mega range and the classic 3 by that comes on every cheap bike. Itll give you a sand gear range, then dirt, then street. Also jagwire has the hydro cable mount adapters
Thanks brother!! That sounds like we are on the same track ha ha, hope you watched the stage #1 upgrades and will be watching the stage#2!! ha ha We already got the new mega ordered and are thinking of brakes and a chain guide? Hope ti all goes good and thanks again for the input brother:) Have a good one my man:)
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS omg i didn't see this. I'm gonna leave the shimano hydraulic brakes i have on it. Even though it could use stronger brakes it won't kill me. And with the 3 by i haven't needed a chain guide even though i don't have a front derailleur, I've just manually switched it. And I've taken plenty of stair cases and rough mountain bike trails without loosing it.
Just getting back into bikes. Was looking for a rigid frame found one of these at a pawn shop bought it for 200. I may get another bike if I stick with it but for now I'm going to watch your upgrade vids on this bike. Im sure the next will be a fat tire also maybe a different brand I just didn't want to pay several hundred and end up not sticking with it. I hope to have some fun with this first I live in the Hot Springs Ar so plenty of trails to hit.
Man a fellow ARKANSAN! Nice of you to checkout the channel and we were filming in Hot Springs earlier today LOL. Now the bike is solid man and tons of fun, you should enjoy it and yes you have plenty of places to ride there!! $200s not a terrible deal, but good to get your toes wet. Thanks for being apart of #WOLFTICKNATION and look forward to seeing you more man!! Thanks and hope you watch all the malus upgrades/cool stuff!!
This is my first mountain bike. But cycling is in my blood. My dad was big into road racing in the 70s and 80s and owned that era road bikes till he passed. I was big into bmx growing up and thats kinda why I choose the mongoose when I seen it. Not only were they a big name brand in bmx back in the day but the frame reminds me of a bmx bike frame just made for a grown man. My brother got back into bicycling a short time b4 pops passed he got all of dads old bikes. I got all his motorcycle and car stuff. Brother got all his cycling stuff. Several nice 80s European road race bikes. Im sure once i get into riding more I will buy a better trail bike but I plan to keep this one just bc its a beast and I can go places a regular mt bike would struggle. But a full suspension bike for the serious trail ride would be nice to own im sure.
@@charlesgreer7641 man that sounds like a very interesting story and I'm sure with your dad, you have it in your blood as well! Lol very cool you are giving it a second chance, and you are dead on when it comes to the Malus on steroids!! Big bmx frame ha ha. It's a solid bike and we are very pleased, goes anywhere and doesn't ask questions. Good luck and have fun man, glad you found us!!
Thanks MTB Mike! So let me tell you about this bike. The fat bike makes no sense, or has no real place in the MTB world. This bike just makes us feel like kids again for some reason. Jeremiah just told me that he already answered your comment haha, so I guess I will stop here. Thanks for being part of the #wolfticknation.
Do you know the rear dropout of the malus? I have one I’m going to convert to a rear hub motor ebike. Everything I’ve read says 185mm or 190mm. I measured with the tire still on so I was kind of eye balling it but it looks more like 8” / 203mm to me if I’m measuring correctly.
Good videos 📹 bud, I enjoyed your content and subbed!!! I've had my Malus 4 over 3yrs now, and have changed just about everything on it, I got Silver & Maroon Rims 4 only $200 bucks Online @ Kohls on Sale!! I've put colored duck tape inside the rim liner, color of choice of course?? Looks good poking out the rims!!! So tell me if you please, what bottom bracket crank set should I change to?? I thank you for your time kind Sir. 🙏✌🚴♀️
Greg thank you so much for finding us man! We appreciate you subbing brother:) Now that seems like one hell of a build, we installed the Sram NX crankset I believe it was but the only problem was the BB sleeve was too short. I dont think it would effect anything but maybe a little moisture but man it is smooth!! The only reason we installed it is because a viewer sent them in otherwise its a little $$$, let me see if we can find an affiliate link. Here is a setup I believe that will work but man it is expensive....It is so hard to find the proper size. If this doesnt work what about a set of crankarms?? Like the Bucklos we installed on the Sandstorm? They are not bad:) Good luck man!! Here is the affiliate linkebay.us/6kn6IE
lucky for you there are no 29er fat bikes :P how does it feels to ride a mountain bike without front suspension? have you missed it much or those fat tires absorbed impacts well? keep up with the great work guys!
HA HA YES NO 29er!!! No front suspension is kinda bouncy but I guess I need to have less air to absorb. I dont really miss them because the bike makes you want to ride it!!So much fun like a kid again, Thanks again Mario and Tuesdays video will be mail and Taff headset and Friday will be the new upgrades on the MALUS!!! Appreciate you Mario
Brakes...200mm rotors, worked wonders for my dolomite. Get yourself a sunrace 14-34T freewheel. Or.....if you are an enterprising individual, call hyper and get the 9speed freewheel.
Hmmm....Thanks for the thought on the bigger rotors man, just gotta bigger freewheel setup and hoping to install soon. I forgot the tooth count but im sure you will see it ha ha. Thanks and hope to have the Malus upgrades and review video up next Friday!!!! Tuesdays video will be a Taff headset and some awesome mail!!!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS yes I bought it and a mongoose Kong for me and my daughter back in March looking to upgrade the forks and cranks and add new cassettes to both bikes

@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS you're welcome my brother, I hope you can try those in one of your 29's, sorry they are different size but that's the only sizes they got available during the clearance sale day, but the guy showed to me a couple customer's bike and they have a little bit smaller size on the back for faster rolling and a little bit bigger size at front for better control but I hope it will work for you my brother and keep those videos coming my friend 💪
Hey man please dont apologize!!!LOL You got me tires and you will be the reason I switch up the sizes from here on out ha ha, That is just so very nice of you brother, pretty soon you will send me everything it takes to build a bike!!!!!!LOL:) Be sure to watch Tuesday!!
Good review. I might be wrong, but I think you will probably have more fun upgrading this bike than any other bike in your fleet. I bought a Mongoose Juneau and have had a blast upgrading it. I am looking forward to seeing the upgrade video! Do you plan to put a low budget fork on the bike?
Yes low budget rigid fork!!! So its gonna be rough ha ha, that a new stem bars and GEO handguards for stage #1. Then stage #2 may be looking at a new freewheel, chainstay, and maybe a hollow BB. You are correct so much fun man!!! Love to ride it ha ha thanks you for watching and sticking around my brother
Can you find any of the Zoom brakes that have left front and right rear? I have looked and looked and just can't find any with the correct routing. I tell you what, when we get done answering comments tonight, I will look into it again. But let me know if you can find any that are not backwards, so we don't have to switch them then bleed them, before we even use them. Thanks man.
WOLFTICK VIDEOS I found some that seem to just be random and you don’t really know if you’ll get the correct orientation or not. It also doesn’t seem to hard to switch the hoses if you need to.
Switching the hoses is not that hard, but you really should bleed them after and it just seems like an extra step that should not be necessary on a new brake set. Remember we don't like to do the how to videos haha and everyone that orders them are going to be mad at us when they come in backwards. But you are a public subscriber and part of the #wolfticknation so we will look at ordering a set here shortly. If we order one tonight we will let you know.😋
Alright ask and you shall receive. We put in the order, and we should have them at the end of the month. Look for a video first week of October if everything goes as planed. We would appreciate it if you would tell people about the video, so we get enough views😁. Thanks-Wolfman.

But when I went on a trail on my mongoose fat bike with my brother on the way back my pedal came off for some reason and the thread was missing its and I had to get a new crank. I’d don’t know what causes that
Just ordered my dad the Argus st 26” fat tire mongoose bike for his b day, he just needs something reliable to just ride around on, wonder what the difference between the Argus and your bike is ?
Dude what a bike!! Well first of all lets go over the differences, #1 Argus has hydraulic brakes#2 Aluminum frame#3All internally routed housing/cabels#4 3X10spd as opposed to the 1X8spd. So theres a few key differences, that and $500 difference. Sounds like a bike your dad is gonna love to ride with the lightness and gears. Let us know how he likes it!!!! Very cool gift man very cool
WOLFTICK VIDEOS yah it definitely wasn’t cheap I just hope it’s reliable and comfortable, he just needs something to ride for fun when he wants to ride or take fishing and stuff like that, I just noticed the fork is neither coil or air just rigid so I hope the thick tires make up some easy riding for him.
Me too mna the tires should be good, just remember like everyone mentions to me its all in the tire pressure. People say like 12-15psi in each and that should make up forth a bumpier ride, so good luck and I hope he loves it!!! Should have the Malus video up Friday with new forks handguards and stem!!! You may want to watch and a second gift idea may be in store?? This handguard company hit me up and they gave me a coupon code for the viewers for a $ off!!! So please checkout man
WOLFTICK VIDEOS man it’s like Christmas when a new WOLFTICK vid comes out, always looking forward to see any vids you guys post......on a side note I’m building some shelves in my garage and starting to buy tools to work on my GT Aggressor, have you noticed if all the bike parts or GT aggressor bolts and screws are all metic now ? Just trying to get an idea on what tools I need when I go tool shopping. For sure need a good set of Allen wrenches, but I thought I read somewhere all bike screws are metric now but I could be wrong.
Well dude have alot of 5mm hexes!!! So have you watched the budget tool video? Look at that T handle tool set form Harbor Freight!!! Highly recommended, I always use it and my caliber tool.
The brakes are definitely not enough for me, plus the weight of the bike haha. Oh yeah this is the old fat guy haha forgot to mention. Thanks for the comment.
I have a older model Dolomite & Yes you are right about the stock brakes they're, nicely put, "junk"...ditched them and went with BB7s way better, went with a 1x8 mega range and rapid shifter & I have UL Schwalbe JJ tires and UL tubes that saved a lot of weight - fun bike for the price not ultra high end by any means - also, check & re-grease your hubs & BB some come completely bone dry from factory - yikes!
Thanks John, have done a little upkeep here and there but did a once over tonight while filming and changing out the BRAKES!!! LOL Shimano MT200 hydraulic should do it fine, that and some cool other stuff including a new Sram Cransket! Be sure to come and see us Friday brother, I would like to look into the schwalbes you have?
this is going to be much better to ride than the fool suspension bike with URT (unified rear triangle, bottom bracket shell is a part of the swing arm) you tested before. I've only tried fat bikes few times, but those tyres are much better than the fake suspension.
We need to try AliExpress. We had a bad experience with Wish and are a little gun-shy now with these gimmicky sites. But you are right we need to check it out. Thanks
This frame looks soo sturdy , and with that solid triangle frame on the back , very characteristic of DW links type suspension, compare this frame with the KHS sixfifity 6600+ , tell me is not the same frame :) peace ✌️
Ha Ha looks the same!!!!You may be on to something, hope it goes well and treats you good brother, really if its all legit then more power to you. I thought it may be a shady type deal but PLEASE let me know!!!!LOL Later man good luck😉💪💪
Most guys that have fat bikes have pressure set from 12psi to 10psi, as long as your not doing anything crazy because punctures are easy to get on a bigger tire, especially when your on tubes

Man DAN!!! I just made the decision for you!!LOL Its all good man, do your homework and then treat yourself. Thanks Fellas:) Gonna be a mean machine ha ha rock on!!!!
Great intro. Keep doing them.
Thanks!😂
I might need to find me one of those. My buddy has a mongoose Dolomite which is basically the same. We did the stem and bars and got rid of the grip shifter and so far he loves it
Hey buddy this is the old fat guy. I had a blast on that thing, and you seen Jeremiah enjoying it. There is just something about these bikes that takes you back to being young again. Just the little bit of time that we have had the bike has made the $329 worth it. Thanks for being regular on the channel bud, we appreciate it.
Can't wait to see the upgrades you have in store for this bike
Dude its gonna be good! Cant wait either man, BEAST lol thanks S Lin
The man the myth the legend. The tick. Lol great video guys keep on keeping on 😜
😂😂Thanks brother, she's gonna be good ha ha and legend? Maybe someday!!😉
I enjoy your budget friendly reviews! For tall riders like me who need an XL frame, the Gravity Bullseye is an affordable option
Very good looking bike, thanks for the comment man. Im hoping to set her up real nice like ha ha. Will be sure to let taller riders know though, we get a lot of questions!!:)
I’m wondering if I’m too tall for a bike this (6.3)?
Man dad s 6'4" but check the other comment you asked:)
How much of a difference (Size) is the bike?
Just one size, it is about a 17" we believe if that is what you are asking
Great intro
Thanks man! Now get back to your schoolwork haha😜🤣
Lol
I had grip shifters on a Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo back in the mid 90's, I really liked it. Made the handlebars look cleaner also.
Great vid can’t wait to see the upgrades vid might not be out till Tuesday cause we have so family stuff going on this weekend
For sure bud, appreciate t ou letting us know.👍👍 upgrades are gonna be fun
The intro, I do that to my dad
🚴♂️👍🥇😜😂
I just ordered one for $279. Great review!! New subscriber here!
Hell yeah man, thank you so much for subbing and hope you enjoy your bike, as a matter of fact I know you will! Such a cool bike and be prepared to turn some heads man:) See you tomorrow for the giveway announcement! Thanks again Sapper, much love:)
HAPPY FRIDAY!! Awesome to see the Wolf on a bike!!
Happy Friday brother, thanks Jason!
don't know how I ever missed this video! How awesome! bought two of those Framed bike specials for a couple of eBikes I am building. Bafang mid mount on this bike would work well BBSHD 52v 20ah battery would be good for off road /hunting/ fishing/ camping...
Would for sure man, I love the framed bikes!! I think our recent E bike is going to be a def hunting/fishing bike!! Dad Absolutely Loves that thing!!
I love seeing WolfDad riding a bike.
Lol😂 Wolfdad, that's classic, thanks man
Hi there, any recommendation for a fat tire to replace the stock to handle snow, light ice, etc?
Thank you!
Man it being a 26" and FAT TIRE theres gonna be some close calls:) No worry man, its normal. Some of our 29ers rub my foot as well, and I am 5'5"!!
That is a sick bike bro; here in Mexico cost double the price. But love the look of those bike's. Great video
Right on brother, love the bike looks as well!! Cant wait to upgrade her, will be upgrading this Tuesday with a headset!!!Thanks TK
Great channel guys! Very well done
Hey thanks man! That is nice to hear.
Epic intro guys. #wolfticknation
Appreciate it brother, knew you would like that ha ha very cool.
Love that Ya'll reviewed this bike! KSREC makes a fat bike fork with 120mm of travel on amazon for $142.99, not sure if this would fit in with the direction that ya'll are going with this, but it might be interesting.
Got that mention a few times man, we will see what we got next Friday on the stage 1 upgrades!! Thanks for the input, those are pretty budget.
Will ded look into some nasty four pistons for the front ha ha! She's a beast brother, thanks STEVE
I live in Florida and this bike looks perfect for riding in sand. That's what this whole state is made of.
🤣🤣Absolutely man!! LOL it does well in snow too lol.
Hydraulic brakes a must.... How do the 2 piston compare to the 4piston on the GT
Very big difference man, and I def think the 4 pistons are overkill so if thats what you want and extra braking power then there you go!!!LOL let us know
Such a good looking bike. Few upgrades I could see this being a hell of alot bike for the price.
Dude you are right, gonna be very nice Nd mean looking. Hope all upgrades go well and fit correctly. That with some 420 brales and BAM!!! Thanks man
Awesome video! Fat bikes are awesome!
Hey brother thanks, they def are great bikes man, I cant wait to ride her now every weekend!!:) Thanks UnionPO!!!
Thanks man
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS sure thing homie!
Good info man, thanks. Oh yeah loving the Fat Bike World that's for sure.
I am 145 or so as well👍👍👍
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS ok man awesome thanks
My kid loves seeing the fat bikes at the bike shop.
Dude they get soooo much attention! He needs one!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS kid is 8 and his first impression of a fat bike was a jaw drop and he had to tell me, "dad, I saw a tire that I can't get off my mind"
That is a sign of a saavant!!! HA HA!! Hope he enjoys our stuff man, thanks for finding us:)
You two look like you have a great laugh together, never fails to make me laugh
That bike looks like hard work, but good fun. Never ridden a fat bike, might have to try one
Keep the great videos coming 👍
Thanks a bunch Dan, thats cool to hear brother. Please get a fat tire bike man, they are so much fun and challenging oh and heavy as SH*T!!!LOL Will do man got the upgrades coming out next week and the Taff video coming out Friday, you will like the opener im sure!!!
Im currently doing a bit of a budget build on my specialized pitch, but I might get one to smash about on when it's finished
Dude you should, its a total throwback to being a kid, I love it!!!! Thanks😁😁
For sure man, thanks!
How tall are you? I'm interested just so I can get a bit of a reference to how big the bike really is
I am 5'5". Malus is pretty good size all around, my dad is 6'4" and he rides it.
Ive never ridden a fat bike before, looks to handle pretty well tho 👍🏼 sweet riding trails you got there. Keep em coming we love your videos!
Thanks alot MTB Mike! Got the Malus upgrade stage 1 coming out next Friday and the Taff headset and mail coming out Tuesday!!! Gonna be a good lineup
Great intro!! 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣thanks we are glad people are enjoying it.
Thing is a beast!! Enjoyed that one!
Lol, will do man!! Gonna be an absolute beast!!! Cant wait till the upgrades
Wow $329 ?! All the ones I’ve been looking at are $500-600 range like the Argus 24 and 26. Any idea why such a wide price range?
Man I'm guessing covid crisis, price gouging and more now then ever everyone wants to get out and ride. That's what we think?
What brakes are on a fat bike🤔? I have to buy them😁
LOL, not if you want to stop!!:)
Would you recommend the Mali’s or the Dolemite?
Well we don't really do recommendations, but I can tell you that we love the Malus and we have never seen a Dolemite in person. Hope this helps.
What is the frame size if u don't mind me asking, I know the tires are 26" but would like to know the frame size ?
Brakes...200mm rotors, worked wonders for my dolomite. Get yourself a sunrace 14-34T freewheel. Or.....if you are an enterprising individual, call hyper and get the 9speed freewheel.
Hmmm....Thanks for the thought on the bigger rotors man, just gotta bigger freewheel setup and hoping to install soon. I forgot the tooth count but im sure you will see it ha ha. Thanks and hope to have the Malus upgrades and review video up next Friday!!!! Tuesdays video will be a Taff headset and some awesome mail!!!

Man the Malus is the only fat tire bike that we have ever messed with. We have heard a lot of good things about it though. Do you have one?

You need to invert the handle bars not upgrade em lol. And The Wolf Man finally got a bike baby!!!
DUDE!!!! Thats all my bike ha ha he was just borrowing it:) Invert is correct ha ha if you only new man!!!
Could y’all look into the zoom hydraulic brakes for one of your builds?

I’d don’t know what causes that
It was probably cross threaded. That happens alot. A buddy of Jeremiah's stripped out both crank arms on his IXF crankset from that.
WOLFTICK VIDEOS oh
Is this bike good for a 5’10, 5’11 man?
WOLFMAN has ridden it and he is 6'4" and says he does not feel uncomfortable on it, so I would say you would not be either:) Thank you for watching.

When I first got this bike I had to tighten the brakes first thing.
The brakes are definitely not enough for me, plus the weight of the bike haha. Oh yeah this is the old fat guy haha forgot to mention. Thanks for the comment.
WOLFTICK VIDEOS your welcome
I know several guys that ride fat bikes on singletrack all the time. They run tire pressures as low as 4-5 psi in some situations.
Wow! Holy crap that sounds amazing lol, I need to figure out a good pressure. Thanks John the Whiz!!!😉
I have this bike and love it
This bike is fun that's for sure. Glad you enjoy your fat bike. Thanks🚵
this is going to be much better to ride than the fool suspension bike with URT (unified rear triangle, bottom bracket shell is a part of the swing arm) you tested before. I've only tried fat bikes few times, but those tyres are much better than the fake suspension.
We are looking forward to riding it every weekend! Thanks Johannes
when you guys going to build some cheap AliExpress carbon bikes? , there is some really nice frames for very cheap
We need to try AliExpress. We had a bad experience with Wish and are a little gun-shy now with these gimmicky sites. But you are right we need to check it out. Thanks

Pretty SWEET!!Wow all carbon huh?
Ha Ha looks the same!!!!You may be on to something, hope it goes well and treats you good brother, really if its all legit then more power to you. I thought it may be a shady type deal but PLEASE let me know!!!!LOL Later man good luck😉💪💪
Most guys that have fat bikes have pressure set from 12psi to 10psi, as long as your not doing anything crazy because punctures are easy to get on a bigger tire, especially when your on tubes
Goog to know brother, wanted to run them very low but wasn't sure, so this will helping that department. Thanks

@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS yup, that wasnt a rigid fork, was it????

Ha ha looking forward to it!!!🍺🍺🍺🍻
this bike has way too heavy gearing. at least for a place like I live, steep hills.
Yeah I seen what you ride!!!
I run 12psi on trails fat tire
Dude I got to totally run mine that low!! Just worked on her tonight for Fridays video!!! Cant wait for ya'll to see it:) Thanks man
I had the snap on fat bike. Had a front suspension fork. It was pretty heavy too even with an aluminum frame. But I'm about 270lbs and ran 10-12 on trails. 15-18 on the road. 6-8 snow. You look a good bit lighter than me so you may work around with those numbers to find a sweet spot.
Good numbers to work off of, thanks XFO!!
Ebike time plus mt420s
Dad loves th at idea ha ha!!only should add about40 more lbs huh!!??
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS it all depends on motor and battery. Mid drive motor 12bs. Battery it really depends. You can get away with a lighter battery but shorter life @ full blast but if you use pedal assist it could last a little longer you make it roughly around 22lbs give or take. Or a heavier 3000watt hub motor and a heavy battery simple install. Dream build bbshd motor asi800 controller. 72v battery w/frame bag single speed One 2 one gear ratio mt 420 brakes and lighter components like tires forks ECT. Tons of options and channels for info you gotta check out just type Captain Codswallop all of his bbshd reviews and asi bac800 controllers are really helpfull.
Wow, we really appreciate the information and the time you spent on the comment Gyl, so thanks. You have got my dad scratching his head from across the table right now!! He wants it so bad ha ha maybe oneday, that would be really cool:)Thanks again
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Bro a off-road or on road electric moped would be sik...but definitely a whole new rabbit hole
HA HA here at WOLFTICK VIDEOS we are all about rabbit holes!!!! Thanks brother!😂😂
$450 as of July 1st 😢😢😢
I dropped a few hundred into my malus including a suspension fork and I can tear up black MTB trails.
DUDE!!! I would love to see you dot hat ha ha!! Not sure if I wanna take the Malus on them but....After tonights upgrades they might be screaming for something dangerous ha ha, thank for the comment brother and be sure to tune in Fridays video, got the Malus stage#1 upgrades!!!
Damn, u dad on flip flops 😆
LOL HA HA HA!!!! Baller son!!!!😂😂😂Thats all he wears dude:)
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I believe you. Reminded me back like 12 years ago, i leg my younger brother use my motorcycle inside an apartment complex parking lot, when he turned, speed up, crashed, wesfing flip flops, big cut on his foot
That's all he wore back then, lol
LOL Holy sh*t!!!!Thats hilarious!!! If my dad wrecks he will be in a world of hurt regardless!!!!😂😂😂😂
Hope the bikes ok wink wink! And your brother of course.
Ay don't buy this bike. Hi tensile steel. Rolls over everything cos weighs a ton. We get mongoose in the uk. Argos sell em. Loved the intro. Riding with dad. 👍
Thanks brother , hope to have her a long time and ride her often!!!! Hope she holds up and thanks for looking out!!:)
#wolftiknation
#WOLFTICKNATION SON!!!
Come on it's not thaaat dangerous 🤣
🤣🤣really dangerous!

10!! Dude that is LOW:) I liked the 15 range pretty good after we installed the 1X Sram eagle
Its psi not pounds dude😂😂
Lol man I seen you watched more than one video!!! I'm a mess brother 😜😜 but thanks
I humbly tuck my tail between my legs... I was wrong... My GT did come w/ a cassette, it is NOT a freewheel. I'm very f'n happy, but feel like an idiot. I'd rather be a happy idiot than a mad genius though... This is the cassette that comes on the bike
www.sunrace.com/en/products/detail/csm55
NOW trying to find a tool to take it off.... it's not the standard cassette tool.. I wanna get that dork disc off lol
GREAT!! Glad to hear it , I looked at one today and maybe looking at doing a start over for it!Very happy for ya! Guess Woodley didnt bring it :(
ha ha YES!!! Its a lockring tool?
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I was rooting for Covington lol. I usually get at least 50% of my predictions wrong, but I was 100% this card... which is crazy. Too bad (good thing in past) I don't bet money lol
😣😣😣
There is just no way to look cool on a fat tire bike.
Hahaha actually I think the opposite. The one person you would never catch on a fat tire bike, would be a d-bag if you know what I'm saying. They are usually too busy trying to ride around the parking lot showing off their $7000 dollar bike they don't know how to ride haha. Seriously though, try riding a fat tire bike, and not have the biggest smile of your life while doing it 🤣. Spoiler, it's impossible 🤣🤣🤣. Thanks for the comment brother.
WOLFTICK VIDEOS
Well I do ride a 27.5x3.0 specialized fuse so sorta a fat tire bike 🤔
@Batscat Ha ha ha, well do you have a smile on your face?
