The earlier pdf version of IMM5768 used to have Q.12 on page 2, hence the reference by Q6. to the "back of this page". ( Now the Q.12 is on page 3 of the form, but IRCC has not updated its verbiage for Q.6. ).
Can you add another scenario which is also very common in applicants - where family size is different in all three years such as for newly married couples and with kids during past 3 years - explain that how are you going to explain in this form with the income situation yearly based. Thanks

Can I print the form do my signatures and my dads and then scan it and send it to him and he will sign his paper and send me as a. Scanned copy .. will they accept scanned signatures ..??

My husband is the co signer for my parent so for year 2023 he lost couple of his pay stubs from his previous employer and it’s hard to get another one, but both our income meets the IRCC income requirement to sponsor parents, so should I provide the proof of all the paystubs co signer has and write a letter to explain the missing paystubs if not what are the other options?

You never mentioned about the (non)applicability of Q16 and Q17 if there is no Co-Signer!! This is a very crucial piece of info even the IRCC has also missed.

You can choose to list the full period If you want. But really, they only care about your eligibility for taxation years 2018 through 2020, as mentioned in the requirements on the website

@shobhit puri They may not be financially dependent at the moment but if you are sponsoring them, i think you need to account for them in the family size income requirement. you can check the ircc family income page for clarification in case i missed something. linked in description. and for question 12, yes, i would say, not necessary to add them if already accounted for.

1) family size is 3 if single and sponsoring parents. watch part 1 to understand family size. 2) i dont know if that will qualify as government. it has to be a government service job. 3) one principal applicant, one dependent, same form

For point 12. From all other forums, it seems one only need to add your dependant child's info, and not your parents whom you are sponsoring 9if they are self-sufficient, and not dependent on you financially at the moment. Is that correct?
I think so. as long as you have accounted for parents in the family size calculation. you can skip them for question 12, just add dependent child info.

So, according to instructions, 2017 will not apply. the years they want are 2018, 2019 and 2020. you can mention gross income earned, as stated in the instructions on the form.

Could you please help, I reached in Canada in 2018. Started an incorporation in Aug 2018 worked under my incorporation till Nov 2018 and joined as a permanent employee from Nov 2018 till Nov 2019 and again back to my incorporation until now (Incorporation was active through out the period). 1) Should I select as Employed or Self employed. 2) If I am on incorporation and say there are any Gaps between by contracts will be considered as unemployed or Since I am on incorporation I cannot be unemployed.

At this point I dont have info on sponsoring both, will post once i do. but I think you might be able to sponsor both, as long as income requirements for the entire family is met.

how do you write in section 14, if during 1 set period of employment, your family size changed from having no kids, to having 1 or 2 and you are still with that same employer? also do you have to write EI received for maternity leave on a separate line in section 14, if I returned to the same employer?
if your family size changes, you will need to incorporate that in income. I dont have information about EI at this point. I will let you know once I do.

You can add all your gross income from t4 slips issued in the taxations years. For the period you dont have t4 slips for, you can add gross income from payslips

That is your choice actually. I don’t know about the situation. As long as you can prove employment with that employer for three years, meaning, paystubs, tax information is all intact: you should be fine either way

if you are not using co-signer, then you can leave 16,17 blank or write NA, your choice. Make sure to check No under Q1. 5748 has nothing to do with this. It is the form you submit if you dont provide SIN number

I would say, You would neither check yes or no. As there is no co signer leave everything in that 16 and 17 section blank

If you were self employed, you should list self employed. to add your income, i think you can add gross income from tax documents from 2018 to 2020.

I have a couple of questions on IMM5768 Page-3 - (1) For 2021, Jan-Nov there will be NO T4 yet. So can we provide the last Pay Slip that has total earned income till Nov/2021 as proof of income for 2021 as this info is NOT available with CRA yet (2) I have worked in the same company for 6 yrs. Can I enter the income for each of the last 3 yrs on yearly basis (implies 4 lines), instead of clubbing the income of all the 3 years together and capturing it in 1 line ?

1344 might not allow you to sign digitally. So print, sign, scan and upload Would be my choice

Correct. If she is no co signing you don’t need to mention hers. It says on question 16- co-signer ( if she isn’t a co-signer) no need to fill it out

At this point I dont have info on sponsoring both, will post once i do. but I think you might be able to sponsor both, as long as income requirements for the entire family is met.

Can i add up this EI income into my 2018 income ? Or it has to be an earned income only of 2018 ? Because if i don't add my EI amount into 2018 income then i don't qualify to meet 2018 income. Your reply would be highly appreciated.
I think the EI applies for covid relief only, that it, 2020. So, 2018 might not be applicable for EI. double check the ircc page to make sure.

Hi, regarding the family size. Situation is: wife (sponsor) + husband (co-signer) + 1 child + 1 parent (widowed, no dependents). So does it mean that the family size of sponsor that she has to indicate in the column of this form is 4 from 2018-2021 regardless of the co-signer husband?

how do you write in section 14, if during 1 set period of employment, your family size changed from having no kids, to having 1 or 2 and you are still with that same employer? also do you have to write EI received for maternity leave on a separate line in section 14, if I returned to the same employer?
if your family size changes, you will need to incorporate that in income. I dont have information about EI at this point. I will let you know once I do.

You can add all your gross income from t4 slips issued in the taxations years. For the period you dont have t4 slips for, you can add gross income from payslips

Hi there, on question 14 I have had the same employer for all 3 years but I did have an address change, do I need to put a separete line for my 2 different addresses? or only put 1 line with my current address?
That is your choice actually. I don’t know about the situation. As long as you can prove employment with that employer for three years, meaning, paystubs, tax information is all intact: you should be fine either way

if you are not using co-signer, then you can leave 16,17 blank or write NA, your choice. Make sure to check No under Q1. 5748 has nothing to do with this. It is the form you submit if you dont provide SIN number

No. Seems to me that you are sponsoring your parents so you have to provide your information in the sponsor section
