We applied for PR. Got invitation for my family within 10 months. Landed in GTA in 2016. Stayed there for a one month vacation became PRs. Observed many things and spoken to many of my friends while I was there. Situation was pathetic in a nutshell. Went back to continue my job in Middle East.
For 3 4 years I thought about what should we do. Should we move or not.
Ultimately decided to let go the PR status & not Waste my savings on this PONZY scheme.
Still working in Middle East and in Europe, family shifted back to India purchased a premium apartment a nice car. With our foreign savings I can easily retire in India - I'm still 39!

Ultimately it's about your family life for the success of your children, not the country. Drugs, sex and other influences are everywhere. Without a proper stable family household there's it doesn't matter where you live. Also, if you have a stable household it's up to you to supplement your child's education and ethics. Whether you have servants or none, narcissism will exist if you don't raise them holistically regardless where on the world you are. Good discussion overall!

I agree with a lot of what you have voiced. The public schools creditability also depends on the neighborhood is what I observed. But that is another catch you really don't have too many choices with homes where there is a higher rated public school. Secondly, like in our case my children moved to Canada when they were in 11 and 6 std, so they had a field day in academics. On the hind sight my younger son found grade 6 and 7 boring and not challenging enough. However the volunteering and sports is a very positive side to schools here. No doubt the culture, the extra time on hand because of low academic pressure as compared to back home children have a lot of spare time and it's difficult to keep them productively busy especially in winters.
Having said that it's a personal choice for everyone but if you are looking for a curriculum like back home then schools are way too easy here. Personally, as we are used to the Indian private school curriculum my son wants to continue high school in India and come back for post secondary as that is where the pressure comes in and they are better equipped at handling it then.
As for drugs and an independent mindset, I agree there too. However, as parents looking at the fast pace of the growing evils in society, we have to keep a close watch on our children be it Canada or India and have an open and friendly atmosphere at home for a healthy two way communication.
It is not a perfect world, but since I have experienced both the countries if you feel your child has the ability to go through the academic rigor in India then I will pick that and then move for post secondary..However the biggest hitch here is the fees for post secondary. An international student pays around 6 times the fees as compared to a PR. So it's again a tough call .

@@surindershinda1268 I don’t think I asked your advice on where I should be sending my children to school. So stuff it where the sun doesn’t shine. I never highlighted Delhi government schools as the benchmark. Did I ? They were always meant for villagers and immigrants pouring into Delhi from Tier 3 & Tier 4 towns & villages in the low income belt. Not for people of Delhi. But does that mean that in order to meet international standards of schooling, we get ripped off in the name of education? I am very satisfied by the education & the school but NOT EVERYONE IN DELHI can also afford ₹ 25 K per month school fees. And increasing each year. That clown Kejriwal has nothing to do with real people of Delhi. He is a CM of migrants & slum dwellers. My point here is regardless of that , there has to be a balance in education costs. I can afford this by god’s grace but OTHER DESERVING people cannot.

@@SW-fy8pq If you say confidently CAD 390 in Malaysia is considered cheap for education, then also highlight the take home pay in that country. It’s always income Vs spend. My point here was to bring to the fore that $ 200 per month reference shared on this video isn’t too far fetched. I am not going to speak on Malaysia as I have nothing to speak to for there, but being a Delhiite with family roots in this city, I can say responsibly that not many parents would be able to shell $ 400 per month for their kid’s education. I am not gloating about myself - the fact is if you have two kids, then how much % of Indians in India can afford $ 800 or ₹ 50 k per Month as school fees ? India is NOT cheap unless you are living in Tier 2 & 3 cities. Time to get real.

All domestic work has to be done by parents - they have to drop off and pickup their children, manage their finances, do all the household stuff and the office work - it is not an easy life and - so that is why they don't have time to pay attention to their kids like in India. What Indians think of as poor education in Canadian schools is actually lack of competition. We Indians are so used to competition in our lives that it is hard to digest our kids having an easy life in Canada. Although Canadian schools are not easy either ( but unlike India, academic success is not very glorified here). This is the only wrong thing in Canadian schools. But in a way, it is not bad either because society wants everyone to live a respectable life. Competition is good to some extent as it improves you but extreme competition like it is in India is also really bad for the child

Sahil bhai will always say positive about immigration to Canada as it is his business and he is selling it, in name of helping or guidance.
Point 1 - Independence - Being around your parents, grand parents, relatives, makes children more closer to roots. Being alone at home without parents, child become lonely and leads into other issues, as he himself said drugs etc.
    2. Opportunities in India are much more. Weather is good and best education institutions are available, if money is there.
We should ask Mr. Sahil where he did his education, to give people gyan on Canada education :)
I stayed in US/UK for few years. It is depressing, cold and racist place. If you make average living in India, life is much better in India, and we don't leave our mother, even if she is that good. 💖

I stumbled across your video. Started watching it intently. Most of what you mention is correct except that schools in India are really bad. Education has become a way of making big money from helpless parents without any accountability. And this goes pan India. Parents also love to brag about their kids' schools. I can't see how a kid can develop holistically in such an environment. In expensive schools, kids are arrogant spoilt brats. In middle class schools, kids are dying due to academic pressure. Unless you live in a trashy area in Canada, schools here are far better than those in India. At least, Government recruits very experienced teachers. Teachers are passionate about teaching. Unlike Indian schools where most of the teachers became teachers because they were US returned housewives who could speak English well and joined teaching to earn pocket money and pass time.
