As a 6GB/128GB Wi-Fi/4G Tab S7 FE user for a little more than a year now, I can state that it is an excellent product for the price. All the essencial features are included, such as the S-Pen and the USB-C that supports video. The screen size is at the sweet spot: not too small so that it can be used as a small laptop, not too big to be handheld as a tablet. I also bought the original Samsung's keybord cover which allows me to use the tablet as a laptop on DEX mode. Although many people say that the processor is not top notch, in my daily use with many office apps multitasking, I experience no hicups at all. The only thing I really miss is a fingerprint sensor to unlock the tablet. Congratulations for the precise review, Brad! I love your videos!

I've had this particular Samsung tablet since July 2022, and I'm still loving it. Mine is the 6GB/128GB Wi-Fi model with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. My first Samsung tablet was the original 2020 version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite with the lesser Samsung Exynos 9611 chipset, which I had since December 2021. So I just can't help but recommending it, it's a multimedia monster, a good tablet to start drawing and it got a reliable software as well as 4 years software updates.

I agree. I learned to draw with a basic Ticonderoga pencil and it took me a long time to adapt to the Wacom size pens, especially since my hands are quite small.
Hi! Can tab s7 fe handle multiple layers? I do art commissions and stuff on a daily basis, and my layers can sometimes go upto 40+ layers. I usually work on 1770x2006 px with 300dpi. Do you think it will lag?? Can it handle heavy drawings?
@@yesimjoy2442 for me it seems to handle up to 25 layers just fine, tho it will lag a little at that point. that's at 1500x1500 300 dpi, but in your case, for such heavy use, i'd recommend a better one tbh. especially if you want to make it your main drawing hardware. The S6 Lite may be a better bet if you like reading in the bed or want something that's not too heavy while on the go. I actually rebought the S6 Lite for work and enjoy the S7 FE while at home.
It's been a year since I bought this tablet - and not once have I regretted it. It has come in handy many times when I need to work during a blackout. And drawing on it is nice, at first it was unusual, but then I got used to it so much that it's hard now to draw on a Wacom tablet xD
I have been using mine, the WIFI version, for two months and I love it. I chose it over other tablets for it's bigger screen and the S-Pen. My sister has a Xiaomi Pad 5 which is much more powerful but the smaller screen and lack of a bundled pen doesn't appeal to me. It's a giant leap from my old Tab A and I have been drawing intensely over the past several weeks. One funny thing is that I have to wait for the large capacity battery for while before I really need to recharge it. Even after a day of intermittent drawing sessions followed by several sessions of PUBG Mobile at night , there's still enough power left to continue using it the next morning. Granted, all this is done without the Wifi on.
@@Charlistic_Saint I got the 6GB ram. I had the same predicament of choosing between the two models but ultimately decided to get the larger one. The deciding reason was my experience with my old Samsung Tab A that was severely hampered by small amount of RAM.
@MarkandMark In terms of gaming the Pad 5 is far better than the S7FE. I don't know about ecosystems because my sister turned used a cute cartoony theme for her Pad 5 so that was annoying as hell. Personally, I'm still not sure how satisfied I am when using the tablet as laptop replacement for work. You really need a keyboard and mouse attachedto turn the tablet to into a true laptop replacement. Documents with touch control is finnicky while bluetooth peripherals are still too sluggish. A dongle could be answer but I haven't bought one yet. As a drawing device the S7FE is quite good. I don't have much complaint in that area. The Pad didn't come with a pen so I couldn't say how it perform against the S7FE. The ability to draw and then immediately transfer the picture to a word document in the same device is a big time saver. I tentatively recommend the the Pad 5 if you do more doc work than drawing with a little bit of gaming. I just prefer the S7FE because of the bigger screen for drawing and it's Wacom-powered pens.
I've got the SuperAMOLED 10.5" Tab S6 8GB RAM/265GB that I bought a year ago for even less money and it really rocks with OneUI 4.1.1. Just d/l'd Lumafusion last week and I do believe it will edit 4K (bought it to fly my drone, which it does great. Plays back 6K video, too).
I am quite satisfied with my Tab S7 Fe and I think it's a perfect pick for a budget tablet. I use it for drawing, watching movies, reading and it does all that very good. My only gripe is that it struggles to keep more than 2 apps open at the same time. That's because I bought the 4Gb Ram version. I advise you go for the 6Gb Ram version if you want a good experience. My next tablet will be the S9+ and I hope my S7 Fe will serve me well until then.
Yes, I am convinced that Samsung devices need minimum 8GB, with 12GB being preferred. Obviously at these pricing then that is not gonna happen, but I would recommend if you can get 8GB.
Yeah Samsung is amazing as it can make something with decent spec, laggy. Had the old s6 lite, it was unresponsive for my preference. Also the expensive price doesn't help. They only sells the GSM version over here making apple ipad as a cheaper (or same price) better alternative
Super Display is such a game changer! It is even enough fast to not tear the image if you pull a movie or anything on it, and it can connect through WiFi!
Im actually very satisfied with my TABS7 Fe ! I use it to play Genshin Impact when im not using my Pc. Other mobile Games, I got the subscription for ClipStudio Paint and use it for drawing so i got a ''Paperlike'' Screen Protector wich is amazing, i Use it as a Planner, to take notes for class and i Still feel like it has so much more potential that im not using to the fullest My ONLY complain is the SPEN, Its just so Uncomfortable makes me NOT want to use it for drawing and wishing Samsung would come out with another pen, targeted to artists that i could use my money to buy. Not to Replace the Spen but to buy it as an Extra
Okay, I didn't expect Brad to revisit the tablet I decided on buying just a week ago, and I am on the way of returning it. Why, you ask? I thought that 4GBs of RAM would just be enough. Turns out my use case with having a browser window, a Word document and a PDF doc on the side (yes im trying to write scientific papers) far exceeds what 4GBs of RAM (and RAM Plus' ineffective boost??) is capable of. If I tried to just do some art on it (which is what I'm still going to do, of course) , it would be an incredible bang per buck product. But the lack of RAM really rears its ugly head even while navigating in the UI. It's THAT bad. Other than that, 12.4" is the perfect size, the screen is gorgeous. SD778 is a capable CPU. If only Samsung Turkey imported those better RAM configurations of this tablet... Things would've been awesome. I would try my hand at Tab S8, but I know that I will feel cramped on that smaller screen. Tab S8+ is over two times expensive. I'm frustrated with Samsung's lineup.
I agree! I hate it when Samsung picks and chooses what version of their product to launch in a country! Why not launch all of them and give customers some choice?
@@inkster147 they're afraid of the budget choices being good enough for most users, cannibalizing their more expensive models' sale numbers. Apple is guilty of this, too but their approach is different. they give their users all the choices in every country, yet they design their prices around price ladders. base models have frustrating omissions like Samsung's budget models but when you go for higher ram, better storage etc. it's priced in a way that the pro models are just in reach for someone spending extra for getting a decked out version of the lower tier product. both approaches are evil. but this is how things work now.
@@dkursada ...you can, of course, buy older models with better specs that are now discounted or refurb. I would recommend that rather than the inadequate 4GB Samsung devices. Really, all Samsung devices need 8GB to start due to the worse RAM management versus iOS. Even my 8GB S22U will start dumping apps once I exceed 8 apps in memory, which is very frustrating. If I lower the resolution to 720p, I can get another 2-3 apps, but this is awful RAM management. Their RAM+ sucks.
I agree. 4gb is not enough. I got my 256gb 8gb ram S7 FE for 429 usd a month ago on Amazon and I love it. I also got a used but in mint condition Samsung keyboard cover with track pad from ebay for 73 use and its an awesome combo.
If you see this I'd like to know what you do with all the devices because you do so many reviews do they just sit around? Hopefully that's not rude it's just a something I think about every time I watch tech reviews also I love your art it's amazing
Usually these people shelve the devices they keep so that they can pull them out for comparisons when something similar comes out. I guess their favorites they just keep on using, at least I would :P
@@ure-1693 Brad did a Q n A on this and different devices have different fates. His review devices have to go back to the company that sent them for review, some devices he bought himself he will sell after the review, and as the other commenter mentioned, some get kept around for comparisons or one of those long term reviews.
Thanks for making these videos. I just ordered an S7 FE cyber Monday largely based on your reviews. My old s6 lite has been great but taken a beating and it will probably remain in use as a beater tablet.
2:00 That's an important selling point nobody - including Samsung - bother to mention. I would prefer proper, chunky forward-facing speakers, but so long as this speaker has stereo, and the speakers aren't in a stupid spot - like exactly where by hands will be holding the tablet - then this device appeals to me. A lot of tablets don't even have speakers as good as a budget smart phone.
I love your videos they helped me decide on my first iPad since the iPad 2 which was the 2020 iPad Pro 11 inches. The bigger screen just seemed like too much for me for my purposes. Yes I’m learning to draw but I just don’t need a huge canvas screen.
I bought this tablet because of a previous video, and I haven't had it too long (a month), but I've been enjoying my time with it. I got it on sale and it does what I intended, which is to draw.
Unlike apple. They don't scam you by forcing a 64gb or a 256 gb with same ram . Here you will get 4gb for 64 gb . 6gb for 128 gb 8gb for 256 gb. + card SD extension up to 1tb.
Great video! Thank you 💕 Do you have any tips for this table in terms of palm rejection matter? How you can turn on this feature in krita with this tablet?
Thanks for the video, I was debating on to get this or the 6 lite, but it is mainly for 12 years old kid that is starting to get good at drawing, and they keep coming down, got it for 320 dls today.
@@mtgrabbitwizard1679 search for detachable / magnetic / adhesive / removable matte screen protector, there's many types but essentially the same thing, although as always, ipad users get a better deal with magnetic ones, i couldn't find magnetic for my Samsung but i got the rubber strip ones, the same thing but attaches with different materials, no air bubbles issue and is thicker than usual matte sandpaper surface so feels like a plastic film you're writing on which is much more forgiving on an s pen tip
Thanks! Amazon has things slightly cheaper on the 7FE... they even have a refurbished with 90 day guarantee for 320! I think I'm going to go with that... appreciate the vids!
@Romario Grant no idea what swappa is ill look into it. When it came time to pull the trigger I just couldn't do it. I'd rather hold out for a great ipad deal.
Yea i have this tablet. Got the s22 ultra for Christmas and s7 fe only thing i dont like is 4gb ram :( its hard to use dex and what this tablet is capable of but im enjoying it so far.
Tab S7 FE 5G even though weaker than the wifi i just need it for school work while im out and about without needing wifi so far i think is totally worth it dont want to spend that double money for S8 5g pricing or even the s7 plus
I wish they would send out a Tab s9 FE, If it had the same 12.4" display I would LOVE this. The processor would be better, I would imagine the screen would be better and the speakers to be better. I would think they'd add an in-built fingerprint sensor. This would be the best FE Tablet so far!
I think you should dig deeper into the wifi version. The tab s7 FE is really weird. Wifi version get a beefier 778G processor, 18-20% better performance than 750G. What I haven't been able to verify is the RAM. Is it tied to the storage size? Like 64GB is tied to 4GB RAM, 128 is tied to 6, and 256 is tied to 8. I tried 7 FE 5G and s6 lite 2022 side by side, I prefer the 7 FE performance. Less laggy
Yes RAM is tied to storage. I got my 8gb ram 256 gb storage for 420 usd last week on sale and I am loving it. Of course its main competition is a used S7+ you can get them on eBay for even less if you are lucky.
My first drawing tablet... and as a tattoo artist it's unmisable these days. for drawing i use sketchbook.. and getting into clip studio pro.. i love the size.. 12.4 inch is just perfect. also for tracing on paper what i usely need for making stencils. there are a few things tho about this tablet i notised. the auto waking up and shutting down. is irritating it goes sometimes automatic. also when i open facebook the ratio is just irritating. i ave the 6 GB version with 128GB storage and bought it for 450 dollar in india goa.... all over i fucking love sansung for what they have done. really glad i didnt bought the ipad..
I bought the S8 but only because Samsung were doing a deal I just couldn't ignore - otherwise I would have got the Tab S7 FE. I have the 6 month trial of CSP but I'm not a fan. However - there are Apps like PoseIT and Nomad Sculpt for 3D work which make Samsungs tablets just as appealing for concept art as the iPad. Never going to be a fan of Ibis or Infinite Painter. I wish however Procreate would come to Android. Apple are so busy selling on Adobe (who don't care) that they don't give any real love to Procreate.
SuperAMOLED S6 is a bargain if you can find one, form factor and processing speed hit a sweet spot. Multiple EBay sellers have refurbs for ~$300. I got a SM-860 8GB/256GB one with S-pen (mint and essentially new a year ago) with OneUI 3.1 upgrade. The Android 12 UI 4.1.1 upgrade since makes it much better and faster)
Im watching this review as i draw fanmerch i am making for a con next year, its a very solid tablet imo. Heck i can play genshin here even if i had to turn the graphics down. This IS my first portable tablet and I will probably upgrade after I save up more, but for those looking for a solid work/study tablet but you just started working/a student. This tablet is pretty good. As for the thin pen, i bought a thick pen case for it. Solves the problem lol
you have the "5g" model, correct? the reg wifi model scores just below the s7+ and way above the 5g in benchmarks. if you're still cool with the downgraded cpu, just think how rad the wifi is with the better cpu.
When I got a tablet for school and drawing 3 years ago, iPad was still king and I paid around $370 for the iPad and Apple Pencil. Android may well be a good alternative when I'm back in the tablet market in a few years, especially since I'm otherwise an Android/Windows person.
you talk about apps, but never have taken a look at Light Brush, it's been almost a year since its release and is a good free web tool for painting. Maybe take a look at it sometime?
Hey Brad, can we see a review on the updated Sketchbook app? Unfortunately it's not out for Android yet, but IOS has recieved an update with many new features that were missing and i'm curious on your thoughts, also because i have a Tab S7+ so i won't see the update until it's ready for Android roll out.
My worry is the processor, is it gonna last? My current iPad air 2 is 7yrs old and only started to feel a bit clunky a few months ago. I'm not expecting for it to last that long (in term of smoothness) but for someone who knows more than me, what should be my expectation?
These samsung tabkets are still too big. I'm waiting for Samsung to release a sPen tab along the size of iPad mini to be more portable. The 10-12+ inch tablets are getting into small laptop territory and if i need to carry something that large I would just go with a laptop.
Hi Can I use it to draw graphs and charts on it while displaying it on a screen (imagine a meeting on zoom for example, a lesson or anything like that) Thx
Does this work with Ibis Paint? I use that for drawing and I was wondering if that would work on this tablet? does it work like a normal android tablet? With all the apps you can download on other android devices?
Do you think this tablet can handle big files with many layers ?( Since i make comics on clip studio paint) pleaseee reply ,if not i need most budget recommendations please.
Hey brad I'm a small artists working for an indie webtoon studio, and I'm really on tight budget my current working device is a Samsung Galaxy TabA 2016. So, I'm looking to upgrade it. Do you think this Tablet caught up to current industry standard for making webtoon? I'm a colorist so I'm dealing with a lot layers and layers effects. I'm quite worries about my work is not good enough because of my device.
Do you still have your ConceptD 7 ezel? Is there a possibility I could buy it from you? I have been looking everywhere for one for a good price and I can't find them anywhere and it's exactly what I need.
The spen works the same with the screen protectors, but don't buy the matt or paper feel ones, because they will destroy the spen's tip. I would suggest you to not use a screen protector for the best feeling of your device. Instead buy a good protective book cover for your screen save.
Non artist comment: It’s heavy. For me too heavy as a note taking tablet. I usually move a lot at work and home, and the extra weight is uncomfortable. In contrast I better enjoyed the size and weight of the s6 lite which I also own.
The tft screen's ability to show patterns and details is a very bad technology. It is sold as 4/64gb in many countries and the processor is different according to the country. Read manga on this device, the sections with patterns are displayed with problems, and it gets better when you zoom in and look.
What is a good Android Vector graphics software? I don't care if it's paid or free. I keep searching but haven't found a video that shows any Vector software for Android, just pixel apps
Hey Brad, appreciate the update. However, would it be cool for you to speak about size and portability? I travel a lot, and while the S6 2022 is more comfortable, I'd appreciate a comparison to the S7 and all that. Would also appreciate how they functional they are in sunlight, assuming it's for outdoor artists. Thanks again for the videos!
Hey! I have this s7 fe, and it's definitely quite large + kinda heavy, i sometimes struggle to even move with it around the house. A smaller size would be better if you're planning to travel
Even though this is a budget tablet its still expensive for me and I am planning on buying it for college I bought a laptop but its too heavy to carry around.

Out of curiosity did you get the 4gb ram or 6 GB ram version? I'm a bit stuck on which of them to choose
I still have my s6 lite and it still rocks, only reason im thinking of an upgrade is because a larger screen makes more sense for drawing.
That's what i was afraid of. 4gb seems a bit low for multitasking
Can it handle big files with many layers like comic making
Super Display is such a game changer! It is even enough fast to not tear the image if you pull a movie or anything on it, and it can connect through WiFi!
Im actually very satisfied with my TABS7 Fe !
I use it to play Genshin Impact when im not using my Pc. Other mobile Games, I got the subscription for ClipStudio Paint and use it for drawing so i got a ''Paperlike'' Screen Protector wich is amazing, i Use it as a Planner, to take notes for class and i Still feel like it has so much more potential that im not using to the fullest
My ONLY complain is the SPEN, Its just so Uncomfortable makes me NOT want to use it for drawing and wishing Samsung would come out with another pen, targeted to artists that i could use my money to buy. Not to Replace the Spen but to buy it as an Extra
I hope you aren't like the toxic Genshin Impact fans
@@its-dylan0 shoot i hope not!
you could buy s pen pro
@@honeycookie5293 Or you could buy the Staedtler Noris Digital pen. I'd recommend the Jumbo version of that pen with the digital eraser on one end.
Got a used S6 with 8GB RAM for $350 on eBay. Might be a good fit for you.
@@Yuzuki1337 that makes a lot of sense and it can also be very convenient thank you ^^
@@ure-1693 You're welcome :)
@@ure-1693 Also your track is dope! Love the groove :)
A year ago I got a S7 FE because of your videos and I'm still having a great time with it! : )
Same here im watching this vid on my S7 FE✌🏻
Out of curiosity is it the 6gb or 4gb ram version? I'm a bit stuck on which one to buy...
Is Wifi version with 4gb ram enough?
@@Charlistic_SaintMine is the 6GB/128GB Wi-Fi version, and after over a year of owning it, it’s still going strong.
I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus, and I really like it, but the big screen of the Tab S8 Ultra looks so damn nice.
I have a 6gb ram version. Just have it 1 month and love the performance and the screen. Drawing is fantastic!
How many layers can you create ? Is it suitable for comic making?
@@hasnaaabdo7411 It depends on which app you are going to use

Is it really that bad? 😦

Unlike apple. They don't scam you by forcing a 64gb or a 256 gb with same ram .
Here you will get
4gb for 64 gb .
6gb for 128 gb
8gb for 256 gb.
+ card SD extension up to 1tb.
Only the base 64gb model.
I have this tablet and i finally found a matte screen protector that is much less harsh on my pen so it's perfect now
Got a link or name of protector?
You can find new S7 FE on Swappa for 320.
I bought this tablet during the black friday in France and i'll open it on christmas
Thanks for the video... I bought an S7 FE a month ago
Correction: It has a 16:10 screen, not 16:9
I chose S8+ because of the display. In S8+ colors looks much better, especially half-tones. You can see it comparing two tablets in a store.
the included pen is a huge reason why i would seriously look into getting one of these
Had zero issues on mine, processer is plenty and no issues at all same with ram
I prefer the samsung galaxy tab s7 FE! For all the features you mentioned above!
I'm definitely getting this. Can't wait.
Posted exactly when i wanted it ❤️🙏🏻
I still miss my Tab S6 (2019) that got stolen. 128 gig. Nothing since has me interested and they are unreplaceable in 2022
SuperAMOLED S6 is a bargain if you can find one, form factor and processing speed hit a sweet spot.
I love my samsung tab S 7 FE. I love it to draw on. Its a super tablet for drawing 😁. I am super happy whit it
When I got a tablet for school and drawing 3 years ago, iPad was still king and I paid around $370 for the iPad and Apple Pencil. Android may well be a good alternative when I'm back in the tablet market in a few years, especially since I'm otherwise an Android/Windows person.
Can you do a lenovo review. I see they have touch screen laptop?
you talk about apps, but never have taken a look at Light Brush, it's been almost a year since its release and is a good free web tool for painting. Maybe take a look at it sometime?
Ive been a S-PEN user from day one with the Galaxy note and no one does it better than Samsung for the price
Sketchbook IS out on Android.
if you get just wifi version it packs snapdragon 778 which is miles better then 750 and wifi version is cheaper as well
That’s exactly what I went for. Mine is the 128GB variant with 6GB RAM.
May I know is it 4g version or 5g version? This sd788
My worry is the processor, is it gonna last? My current iPad air 2 is 7yrs old and only started to feel a bit clunky a few months ago. I'm not expecting for it to last that long (in term of smoothness) but for someone who knows more than me, what should be my expectation?
Processor is absolutely fine. If software doesn't destroy it. I'm using Redmi note 4 - sd625 for 5 years now. I'm heavy user it still fine.

These samsung tabkets are still too big. I'm waiting for Samsung to release a sPen tab along the size of iPad mini to be more portable. The 10-12+ inch tablets are getting into small laptop territory and if i need to carry something that large I would just go with a laptop.

Does this work with Ibis Paint? I use that for drawing and I was wondering if that would work on this tablet? does it work like a normal android tablet? With all the apps you can download on other android devices?

Hey brad I'm a small artists working for an indie webtoon studio, and I'm really on tight budget my current working device is a Samsung Galaxy TabA 2016. So, I'm looking to upgrade it. Do you think this Tablet caught up to current industry standard for making webtoon? I'm a colorist so I'm dealing with a lot layers and layers effects. Do you still have your ConceptD 7 ezel? Is there a possibility I could buy it from you? I have been looking everywhere for one for a good price and I can't find them anywhere and it's exactly what I need.
i have one, love this!
4gb ram just so limiting. Get the 128gb version for 6gb ram, or 256gb ssd version for 8gb ram. But that price matches tabs8 10 inch, crazy!
Hey! I have a question. Is it OK to put screen guard of tablets? Or will it act as a barrier to the s pen?
The spen works the same with the screen protectors, but don't buy the matt or paper feel ones, because they will destroy the spen's tip. I would suggest you to not use a screen protector for the best feeling of your device. Instead buy a good protective book cover for your screen save.
You have the under powered cellular version, the wifi version has the 778g processor.
What's the name of your app you're using to color in?
I need to buy this only for note taking work, big pdfs like 200-300 pages, video lectures thats it. RAM will be issue or not? 4Gb??
Hey Brad, appreciate the update. However, would it be cool for you to speak about size and portability? I travel a lot, and while the S6 2022 is more comfortable, I'd appreciate a comparison to the S7 and all that. Would also appreciate how they functional they are in sunlight, assuming it's for outdoor artists.
