- Instructions for reflashing most Toyota/Lexus using the XTool's AutoProPAD.
For now, the process is a little less than ideal, and some of the language used was written by an engineer that doesn't seem to understand how a locksmith thinks. We try and help you walk through the steps to make your life easier. We expect this whole process on the tablet to be overhauled in early 2018.

Usually you have to scrape the clear plastic off the leads on the chip before attaching clip.
When you install the ecm back in car, The immo light should be on; waiting for 3 new Keys.

By following the normal procedure for adding keys do you mean plugging into obd and adding key and did you say you have to do 3 keys? Thanks

The other part you didn’t show which is important is the cleaning of the chip. I saw the cleaner in the background. I had a shop call us to get help on flashing because they were not getting communication. They had not cleaned the chip before putting the clip on. Saving the file and showing what to do if you flashed and the car was not Immobilizer equipped might also help.
What would you select for a GS 400? I didn’t see it in the model options.

This video SHOULD be on the AutoProPad website under the Support menu....i dont believe it is....please add it. I saw Vid for the Sequoia, but the process is much different than this video.

What is the common reason for reflashing the ECU. And if you put the ECU back in to the car after reflashing would it be ok for the vehicle?
Some cars cannot be programmed via OBD ports, they must be done via EEPROM reflashing. Some can be done either way.

@@dashtyATG When locksmiths "reflash" a module, they're usually putting it back to its virgin state, like buying a new one, like the day it was installed into the vehicle. There will still be some kind of programming that needs to be done. In old Hondas and Acuras, for example, that requires connecting a diagnostic tool via OBD2 to program special keys. In old Toyotas and Lexuses (Lexi?), it's an on-board procedure (OBP) to introduce keys.

It is an Awesome tool can I get PCB and Rainbow cable for my Xtool X100 PAD2 Pro Auto Key Programmer With KC100 For VW 4th 5th IMMO Scan Tool because it is the only missing part, otherwise they look the same on software and come from the same manufacturer.
