I know now that there are like minded people who generally love life as I and respect everything that surrounds us. We are all caretakers of the surroundings we are placed upon. Dignity, respect and appreciation of those who share their lives with us. Do not feel intimidated by others or you will miss an opportunity to learn

This is such a beautiful and inspiring video. Dan Goleman's voice is soothing to the soul, it is like tranquility being poured into my ears. The wisdom and insight he provides make it a "must listen" to all. Anyone can benefit and take something valuable from this conversation. Thank you Action For Happiness and Mark for providing this hour of calm. I feel revived and motivated to be a better person and spread kindness.

The person who is asking the question is really good, exactly the questions that were popping in the audience's mind and the psychologist answering them is also really great, such simple, brief and to the point explanations.

We have much to overcome, gender roles and showing emotions. I find our aging population are in conflict with vulnerability and can’t name the emotions they are feeling and retreat into a fight or flight response. Empathic concern. Seen heard and cared about

Hi my name is John Alchin and I live in the Gold Coast Qld. I am in a Residential Aged Care Home and am wondering if Emotional Intelligence could help the staff here treat the residents better. I believe that this will make a difference in the lives of our elderly here in Australia and in the Western World.

Are there books that you recommend? Or other leads to learn more about emotional intelligence?

You learn how to state your needs and boundaries, clearly and calmly. You advocate for yourself.
If we do not have our own back, see that we are worth standing up for...no one else will honor that either.
