Vis a vis your building scenery. I think your instinct was correct with the blue building base. The buildings need to be at least twice the height of the human. So the one on display looks much better.
So you mind if I ask why you put the French infantry in line instead of Column? Column was more historically accurate and was even the mode of attack when charging the enemy line.

I really like the fact you did not put labels on them. Those labels defeat the purpose of looking like a real miniature battle. Nicely done!
I agree. The labels really ruin the look that gamers seem to be going for, that of a real battle.
