That's very ignorant. Disciple means follower.
That's like saying "you go to heaven but you're not following Jesus". If you're not following Jesus, a disciple, you're going to hell. There is so much false doctrine in a lot of churches it is no wonder churches are just as corrupt as the local bar. There are so many places where it says "And follow holiness, without such no man will see the Lord".
To think you can enter heaven and not be following Jesus is in any way something a person can find in scripture blows my mind. The complete opposite is true. This is exactly what these verses in Luke 9:23 are telling us. But here we are. False teachers leading the blind away from clear scripture. Isa 2:22
These scriptures have been on my mind and here I get confirmation through a short.

Some churches misinterpret this verse saying basically that you have to consider the cost to be saved! Salvation is free, but being a deciple will cost you!

Still very disturbed they repeatedly cast a false teacher in a lead role, and thanked “pastor” Paula White for endorsing their movie that teaches error about prayer.
So who is he, and which movies have they done? I've watched War Room and thought it was very worthwhile. I'd like to see their other movies. I don't watch many movies, not even Christian movies. Too much entertainment spirit in some of them for me.

What do you say then it means to be a disciple of Christ? aren’t all believers supposed to be His disciple?
Not quite. Luke 9: 23 is not nearly that cute. This is the problem with the ESV and other watered down versions. The verse is saying "You must die for me. You must give up the world for me. Nothing can be a high as your dedication to me. I will not accept #2. Anything less is idolatry."
Many scriptures verify this. "For it is our reasonable service to offer up our lives as a daily sacrifice." Of course if every one of them is watered down then you'll miss the power of this terrible God. He is gracious and loving but also to be greatly revered, feared and respected.
I don't know what you're talking about. I just compared 9 different versions & they are almost all the same.
@@FollowerOftheRisenChrist- With the exception of "daily" and a few other things that are blatantly obvious to a casual observer. The requirement of the law is they MUST be a minimum of 15 to 20% different to be copyrighted shows you must be ignoring slight details.
It's interesting that he thinks Jesus was talking to us gentiles in those books. Come to find out, Jesus deals with us a little later when He reveals the mystery of Christ to the apostle unto the gentiles Paul.
