    The judge pissed me tf off. I grew up in an abusive household, I had social media. I had made it in secret because I just wanted some kind of outlet for my drawings and to try and make friends. Just because a kid has social media doesn’t mean they aren’t isolated at home. And he clearly had “access outside of the basement” because he snuck up to use the bathroom?? Lady do you hear yourself?? I very seldom saw family or went outside my home without supervision, but those few instances I was able to suddenly means I wasn’t isolated or restricted? I honestly can’t with that bs.

      Was she delusional? How? Explain to me how she was delusional because I heard a woman basing her findings on empirical evidence. Is it because she is black, she is perceived to be angry? I never say that, but I have never witnessed ppl being angry with a woman who based her judgment solely upon the truth. He lied several times. Because he is an adolescent does that mean she can not be passionate because he lied?
      She held the father responsible for the pvc pipe. But it's absurd to actually believe that the FBI couldn't find him because his parents were moving him between apart.
      Sorry, I would be enraged if I were her that doctor who has never evaluated a patient would claim torture and lack of food etc, when in reality it's the opposite according to the actual hospital that checked him out. That a doctor would make dramatic claims based off of what? A hunch? When the er physicians actually seen the patient and their findings were completely opposite to hers.
      Sorry. Explain to me why this strong woman is delusional? Why? You could have said you hated her tone or anything else but delusional. Ironically, she is more logical than you. I ate..I didn't eat..hmm torture..well nourished...who seems to be delusional
      There was abuse, I believe, but the teenager was also lying amd that was proven by court and documents.

    • @lilacchocolate
      @lilacchocolate 9 месяцев назад +25

      Right?! When money was mentioned I thought maybe they were planning to start a GoFundMe to get as much as possible then 'miraculously' find Charlie and pocket the money. I think boarding school was just an idle threat to keep Charlie "in line" rather than actually being feasible for them. Plus, if you're abusing a child you don't let your victim get away to boarding school and out of your reach instead you keep them nice and close and isolated from any means of escape and friends that could help them.
      I think money might have been the real motivation behind this bizarre disappearance but I'm glad the abuse was discovered and Charlie and the other children are now safe and with better people.

    I wrote this under another comment but wanted it to stand alone too: People don't understand abuse. Abusers can't do it 24/7. You make an excellent point. "Sneaking" to go to the bathroom is indeed abuse. "Sneaking" out to play with friends because you can't otherwise, is abuse. I've been in abusive situations and sometimes I was spoiled and love bombed with things and other times I was denied basic things and treated very cruelly. It depends on the mood of the abuser. Even if you have to sneak to get freedom, it never feels like freedom. The whole time you're doing the thing you've been told is "wrong" you're riddled with guilt, anxiety, fear that the abuser is going to catch you and punish you for it and then you have to keep reminding yourself "It's ok to drive! I can go where I want! Screw it if he catches me!" but it only makes you feel empowered for a minute because the guilt fear and anxiety sneaks in again. It gets to the point where obeying becomes more comfortable than your freedom because fighting for moments of freedom is so stressful. No one should ever hyperventilate, get diarrhea, or shake and cry because they want to do something most people are allowed to do everyday. "Sneaking" is abuse--self-abuse--as a result of being forbidden in the first place by the original abuser. If that makes sense??

    Oh, that Judge's commentary makes me so angry! Just because his hiding place wasn't locked doesn't mean he wasn't imprisoned. The fact he had to SNEAK into the apartment to steal food & use the bathroom doesn't mean his parents weren't withholding the necessities of life. Just because a child's testimony has a couple of discrepancies doesn't mean all his statements are lies. Incredibly ignorant take, worthy of a defense lawyer rather than a judge.

      hey, @@DoeMeNeek, of course it's fine to comment multiple times :) as you said, the more the better - it boosts engagement and promotes the video in the algorithm so more people can see it :) a great way to support creators without paying a dime would also be subscribing and clicking the bell icon, it also helps with the algorithm. watching the the video to the very end and watching ads helps with monetisation so i would recommend that as well if you want your favourite creators to keep doing what they love :) hope that helps (even if it's a somewhat long explanation 😅)

    That Dad’s reaction on Nancy Grace was crazy. I also did a double take when he pulled out his cellphone during Nancy Grace’s interview almost immediately after he said it was dead and in his car. The fact that this child/victim was not believed is so sad. The fact that the dad denied that there was ever a pvc pipe, only to later stand up and court and say yes, he had hit his son with a pvc pipe, shows that the father is a liar. This case has left me with more questions than answers.

    Why was that stepmom so determined to have an unregistered gun in her possession? Did anyone else pick up on that? I find that very strange for this stay at home mom. It’s possible that hiding him away in the basement was just the first part of her plan to get rid of little Charlie.

  • @KTplease
    @KTplease 9 месяцев назад +16

    Had the pipe not been found, the judge would say Charlie was lying about that, too. So if Charlie was truthful about that, why ASSUME he was lying about the rest? Because it’s “unlikely” or “unreasonable”? Nothing about this child abuse is normal! WHO KEEPS A PVC PIPE IN THEIR HOUSE?? Is that reasonable? Who’s more likely to be lying, the parents who have a bloody PVC just hanging out in their house, who could lose everything if they were found out, or the kid who has no motive to lie? That judge needs to leave bias at the door.
